The Plattsburgh State Art Museum is part of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, New York. The museum's concept of a "museum without walls", originated by French art theorist André Malraux, is to display its art collection around the university's campus. The permanent collection consists of over 4,600 works of art and artifacts, ranging from antiquities to contemporary art and sculpture. The collections are displayed in three main galleries, a sculpture court, and exhibition areas throughout the campus.

WQKE ("The Quake") is a college online-streaming radio station in Plattsburgh, New York. From 1981 until 2022, it had broadcast on terrestrial radio on 93.9 FM. The college radio station is supported by the Student Association of SUNY Plattsburgh. The station's studios are located in the Angell College Center on campus. The antenna was located on the Kehoe Administration Building, which is one of the tallest buildings in Plattsburgh. With adjustments made at the station in the fall of 2009, The Quake broadcast (and now streams) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering listeners a wide variety of music including: jazz, funk, soul, indie, punk, hip-hop, blues, techno and other genres.

Hawkins Hall is a historic institutional building located on the campus of State University of New York at Plattsburgh at Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York, USA. It was designed by the state architect William E. Haugaard and built in 1932. It is a two-story stone structure with five-story and two-story towers in the Late Gothic Revival style. The entrances feature large wooden paneled doors with semi-circular transoms. It was built for the state Normal School at Plattsburgh to replace a structure destroyed by fire in 1929. It is named for Dr. George Hawkins, who was principal of the Normal School from 1898 to 1932, in 1955.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

S. F. Vilas Home for Aged & Infirmed Ladies is a historic multiple dwelling located at Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. It was built in 1889-1890 and is a three-story, brick, monumental multiple dwelling structure in the Queen Anne style. It features truncated hipped roofs with cross-gable wings, corbelled decorative chimneys, and bands of colored brickwork. It was built as a 44-bed residence for aged and infirmed women.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

George Downie (19 January 1778 – 11 September 1814) was a Scottish officer of the British Royal Navy. During the War of 1812, he commanded a British squadron that fought an American squadron on Lake Champlain in the Battle of Plattsburgh, during which he was killed.

W. W. Hartwell House & Dependencies, also known as Regina Maria Retreat House, is a historic home located at Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. It was built about 1870 and is an elaborate stone mansion featuring a three-story tower with a Mansard roof in the Second Empire style. The house is set among park-like landscaping. Also on the property are a cottage and a stone carriage house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Plattsburgh is a city in, and the seat of, Clinton County, New York, United States, situated on the north-western shore of Lake Champlain. The population was 19,841 at the 2020 census. The population of the surrounding (and separately incorporated) Town of Plattsburgh was 11,886 as of the 2020 census, making the combined population of Plattsburgh to be 31,727. Plattsburgh lies just to the northeast of Adirondack Park, immediately outside of the park boundaries. It is the second largest community in the North Country region (after Watertown), and serves as the main commercial hub for the sparsely populated northern Adirondack Mountains. It has been an important military outpost for much of its history, from hosting one of the largest Citizens' Military Training Camps prior to World War I, and Plattsburgh Air Force Base, the east coast center of operations for the Strategic Air Command during much of the Cold War period. The conversion of the base to a civilian airport in the 1990s resulted from the Base Realignment and Closure process during the wind down of the Cold War, and today it serves as a hub for economic development for the region. Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is a hospital located in Plattsburgh, New York. Champlain Valley Physicians' Hospital was created in 1972 by the merger of the private Physician's Hospital with Champlain Valley Hospital, a charitable hospital operated by the Grey Nuns. As UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, it is currently a not-for-profit facility incorporating a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and community outreach care services, including an oncology center, a nursing home unit, renal dialysis center, adult and child/adolescent mental health wards, and medical and surgical capabilities. In recent years, the cardiology services provided by Lake Champlain Cardiology Associates have expanded to include coronary interventional care provided by Champlain Valley Cardiology and open-heart surgery, provided by Champlain Valley Cardiothoracic Surgeons. The hospital also has a variety of diagnostic and rehabilitation services. In 2012, CVPH Medical Center joined Fletcher Allen Partners, now the University of Vermont Health Network.

Court Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. The residential district includes 51 contributing buildings. The district generally consists of large scale Queen Anne or Colonial Revival style residences built in the early 20th century, with some examples of mid-19th century Greek Revival and Italianate style residences.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Winslow–Turner Carriage House was a historic carriage house located at Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. It was built about 1876 and was a 2-story rectangular building on a stone foundation with a 1+1⁄2-story north wing. The residence it was associated with was demolished in 1977. The carriage house itself was allowed to fall into extreme disrepair and was torn down by its owner in 2020. It had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The John B. Carpenter House is a historic house located at 42 Prospect Avenue in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York.
