Allianz Tower (Italian: Torre Allianz), also known as Isozaki Tower (Italian: Torre Isozaki), is a fifty-floor, 209-metre-tall (686 ft) skyscraper in Milan, Italy. Designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and Italian architect Andrea Maffei, it serves as the headquarters of the Allianz Group and the Italian parent company Allianz SpA.Locally nicknamed Il Dritto (Italian for "The Straight One"), it is the tallest building in Italy at 209 m (686 ft)—249 m (817 ft) with broadcast antenna—and with its 50 floors is the tallest to the roof. It is composed by eight modules by six floors each one, with the façade of the module composed by a triple-glass unit slightly curved to outside. The vertical succession of rounded forms create a feeling of slight vibration of the volume of the building as it rises upward. Elevations of the short sides are fully glazed and show the mechanical series of six panoramic lifts going up and down to the various floors of the building. In 2016, Allianz Tower was nominated by Emporis as the third-best skyscraper that was completed in 2015.The idea of an endless tower can be compared to previous ambitions of other artists such as Constantin Brâncuși, for example, who in 1937–38 installed one of his endless columns of Târgu Jiu in the park to create repeatable systems indefinitely.

Generali Tower (lo Storto, "the Twisted One") is a skyscraper completed in 2017 in Milan, Italy that reaches a height of 191.5 m (628 ft) with 44 floors (+ 3 floors basement), and a total floor area of about 67,000 square metres (720,000 sq ft). Its designer is the Anglo-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, hence it is also called torre Hadid ("Hadid Tower"). The geometry of the building is that of a warping shape, where both the floors dimension and their orientation vary along the tower axis. The structure is concrete and composite. A central core acts as main horizontal stiffening and resisting element. Foundations are of mixed raft and piles type, where the piles are used as settlement reduction devices. The base raft is a 2.5-metre thick (8.2 ft) concrete slab, resting on 64 piles arranged in clusters and points under the main load points. In order to resist the main torsional effects due to the warped column arrangement, the core lintels above main doors feature composite solutions with a mixed use of steel elements, rebar and concrete. Due to the specific form-dependent deformation effects, a highly sophisticated stage analysis both for construction and long-term effects has been performed. A steel, free form podium for commercial use surrounds the base of the building. In October 2019 the tower was awarded first place for excellence in the mid-rise category by the American Concrete Institute.The building hosts offices of Assicurazioni Generali, the third largest insurance group in the world by revenue.

Velodromo Vigorelli (from 2001 officially Velodromo Maspes-Vigorelli) is a 397-metre (434 yd; 1,302 ft) semi-covered velodrome in Milan, Italy. It is currently used mostly for American football events. The stadium holds 9,000 people and was built in 1935 by Vigorelli Cycles. It was burned down during the second world war after bombing of Milan by the RAF but then rebuilt. The stadium was home to the hour record from 1935 to 1967 and the one-hour tandem record of Ernest Mills and Bill Paul from 1937 to 2000. It hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 1939, 1951, 1955 and 1962. After years of neglect and planned demolitions, campaigning by local enthusiasts led to the approval by local authorities in March 2014 of plans to renovate the velodrome.The stadium has also hosted music events, including the Beatles' concert on June 24, 1965. It was the site of a concert by English rock band Led Zeppelin which took place during the band's 1971 European tour, well known for its descent into a violent riot between concert attendees and the local police.

Milano Domodossola is an underground railway station in Milan, Italy. It is served by the Milan suburban railway service, and by Trenord regional lines. It is a modern station, substituting the nearby, demolished 19th-century Milano Bullona station. The station is located on Via Domodossola.

Villa Romeo Faccanoni is an Liberty style house located on Via Michelangelo Buonarroti #48 in the city of Milan, region of Lombardy, Italy. The three story house, surrounded by a small garden, was designed by Giuseppe Sommaruga and built between 1912 and 1914. The expanded building now serves as the offices of the Clinica Columbus, with added surrounding clinic buildings erected in the former gardens. The small villa or villino was commissioned by the engineer Luigi Faccannoni. The architect Sommaruga employed the decorators Eugenio Quarti and Alessandro Mazzucotelli to complete respectively the interior and exterior ornamentation. Also of note are two naked statues of women, sculpted by Ernesto Bazzaro, that had been installed at the entrance of the Sommaruga-designed Palazzo Castiglioni, but removed due to controversy. In 1919, the house was sold to the engineer-entrepreneur and car company founder Nicola Romeo. The home was converted under the direction of the architect Gio Ponti and the surgeon Mario Donati into a medical clinic in 1938-1940. Damaged by the bombardment of 1943, the clinic was inaugurated only in 1949.The facade facing Via Michelangelo is rich with elaborate grills and metalwork by Mazzucotelli, who embellished light fixtures, garbage cans, and grills in balconies in vaguely floral designs. A four-story tower rises to the left of the entrance. The asymmetries of the design create a mannerist dynamism, almost fluid appearance, although the elements respect vertical and horizontal lines. The widening stairs at the entrance are marked in the center by two awkwardly rising dark stone column-monoliths that are barely linked to a second floor balcony. The facades is peppered by a mosaic of bas-reliefs depicting either floral elements or cherubs playfully arranging garlands. The asymmetric and staggered arrangement dispels their recognition as a frieze. The stone progresses from a darker and more rusticated base to a finer and but more polished stone brick work pattern, with rectangular stones of different sizes. The

Amendola is a station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The underground station was opened on 1 November 1964 as part of the inaugural section of the Metro, between Sesto Marelli and Lotto. It is located at Piazza Giovanni Amendola.

The Monument to Giuseppe Verdi is a bronze sculpture on a plinth located in Piazza Michelangelo Buonarroti in Milan, Italy. The statue stands in front of the Casa di Riposo per Musicisti (nursing home for musicians) which had been founded by Giuseppe Verdi, and where he is buried. A contest was announced for proposals for a monument, to be judged by a committee named by members of the Brera Academy. Initially the proposal of Antonio Carminati was selected but the sculptor died two years later. His model recalls a more expansive monument such as the 1897 Donizetti Monument by Francesco Jerace, but this time placing a sitting Verdi in the center of a rounded screen, flanked by two musical figures and a linear display of bas reliefs. The monument dedicated to the Italian opera composer was created by Italian sculptor Enrico Butti and it was inaugurated on 10 October 1913, on the hundredth anniversery of the composer's birth. The work is far less formal than Carminati's project, with Verdi pausing while standing with hands clasped under his jacket behind his back. The base of the statue are four allegorical reliefs: 1) In the front is Melody, represented by a young woman walking through a meadow of flowers between two groups of female figures; 2) on the right is Peace, symbolized a man and a woman holding hands with a ring of playing children and an ox all in a pastoral alpine setting; 3) on the left is Poetry, symbolized by survivors of a patriotic battle; 4) On the back is Tragedy, symbolized by images of suffering and pain.

The Casa di Riposo per Musicisti (literally 'rest home for musicians') is a home for retired opera singers and musicians in Milan, northern Italy, founded by the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (whose statue is outside the building) in 1896. The building was designed in the neo-Gothic style by Italian architect, Camillo Boito. Both Verdi and his wife, Giuseppina Strepponi are buried there. A documentary film about life in the Casa di Riposo, Il Bacio di Tosca (Tosca's Kiss in the US), was made in 1984 by the Swiss director Daniel Schmid.

The Centro di Documentazione Ebraica Contemporanea (Center of Contemporary Jewish Documentation; CDEC) is an independent cultural and historical institution in Milan, Italy, dedicated to promoting the study of the events, culture, and circumstances of the Jewish People in Italy in the context of modern times. The CDEC was founded in 1955 at the initiative of the Italian Jewish Youth Federation (Federazione Giovanile Ebraica Italiana). Its stated objective: the research and documentation of all forms of anti-semitic persecution in Italy, and the Jews' contribution to the Resistance in Italy. (per the CDEC charter, 1957) Since 1986, the Center operates as a not-for-profit Foundation, under the name La Fondazione Centro di Documentazione Ebraica Contemporanea — CDEC. Michele Sarfatti has served as the Foundation's director during the years 2002-16.
