Abu Dhabi Central Capital District, officially "Abu Dhabi Region" (Arabic: مِنْطَقَة أَبُو ظَبِي, romanized: Minṭaqat Abū Ẓabī), also "Abu Dhabi Metropolitan Area", is the municipal region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi that contains the city of Abu Dhabi, distinct from the Eastern and Western municipal regions of the Emirate. Abu Dhabi City is the capital of both the Emirate and the United Arab Emirates, and has its own local government.

As of 2021, Abu Dhabi's urban area had an estimated population of 1.5 million, out of 2.9 million in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as of 2016. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is headquartered in the city, and was the world's 3rd largest sovereign wealth fund in 2022. Abu Dhabi itself has over a trillion US dollars worth of assets under management in a combination of various sovereign wealth funds headquartered there.Abu Dhabi houses local and federal government offices and is the home of the United Arab Emirates Government and the Supreme Petroleum Council. The city is home to the UAE's President, a member of the Al Nahyan family. Abu Dhabi's rapid development and urbanization, coupled with the massive oil and gas reserves and production and relatively high average income, have transformed it into a large, developed metropolis. It is the country's center of politics and industry, and a major culture and commerce center. Abu Dhabi accounts for about two-thirds of the roughly $503 billion UAE economy.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (كليفلاند كلينك أبو ظبي, known as CCAD) is a multi specialty hospital located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The 364 bed luxury hospital, part of Cleveland Clinic Foundation of USA, has been open to the public since May 2015.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, managed by SEHA, serves as the flagship institution for Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). Sheikh Khalifa Medical City consists of a 586-bed acute care hospital, 14 outpatient specialty clinics and a blood bank, all accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI). Additionally, SKMC manages a 125-bed Behavioral Sciences Pavilion (BSP), and an Urgent Care Center located within the city of Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi International Private School (Arabic: مدرسة أبو ظبي الدولية الخاصة‎, romanized: Madrasaẗ Ābu Ẓabi Al-Dawliyyah Al-H̱aṣa) (usually shortened to Abu Dhabi International (Pvt.) School, Abu Dhabi International School, or just AIS) is a private international school licensed by the Ministry of Education located in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The school offers an American curriculum, as well as the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. It was founded in 1992 by current superintendent, Jihan Nasr.

The German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD; German: Deutsche Internationale Schule Abu Dhabi, Arabic: المدرسة الألمانية الدولية) is a German international school located in central Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.The GISAD is certified by the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK), which is the assembly of ministers of education of the German states. Students at GISAD can attend either Kindergarten, Grundschule, Sekundarstufe I and Sekundarstufe II (kindergarten, primary school, lower secondary level and upper secondary level).

Arab Center for Consultancy & Economic Studies (Arabic: المركز العربي للاستشارات والدراسات الاقتصادية) is an Emirati organization headquartered in Abu Dhabi and specialized in preparation of economic feasibility studies. Its primary aim is to support the economic development of UAE, and to improve the environment for investment in UAE as well as the Middle East. It was founded by Atef Elromhe in November 2006.

Al Wahda Mall (Arabic: الوحدة مول) is a shopping center located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The mall's construction started in the year 2004, but its completion date is unknown. Opened on 5 June 2007, this mall is owned by Al Wahda Sports Club, Abu Dhabi, and managed by Lulu Group International. It is located along Old Airport Road (Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street) near Hazza' Bin Zayed The First Street.

Al Humaid City is a residential and commercial development being created in Ajman Emirate in the United Arab Emirates. This development is situated along the Emirates Road and across from Emirates City. There are 69 residential towers in this development; these towers range from 25 to 35 stories.

Al-Nahyan Stadium (Arabic: ملعب آل نهيان) is a multi-purpose stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is also known as Al Wahda stadium. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Al Wahda. The stadium holds 15,000 people and was built in 1995. The stadium also hosted group games of the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. The stadium was renovated for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Al Bateen Academy is a private, British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Al Bateen educates students from years 7-13. It is affiliated with Al Mushrif Primary school, which operates from the same building.

ALHOSN University was an educational institution founded in 2005 and located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. It is a segregated University with separate campuses for Male and Female Students. The Abu Dhabi-based university was accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.ALHOSN University offered 18 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate degrees under three faculties, Business, Engineering and Arts and Social Science. The university offered programs in the fields of Engineering (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, (ABET) accredited) Business (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) accredited) and Education. Undergraduate academic degrees are offered as four-year programs and taught in English, all except for the Arabic education component. ALHOSN University is a member of the Arab Association of Universities.The university's City Campus was located in Abu Dhabi and has students from 41 different nationalities and Faculty and Staff hailing from 33 different countries.In 2017, Ministry of Education in UAE have placed the university on probation and closed the university in 2021.
