The Cebu Ocean Park & Events Center is a marine theme park in Cebu City, Philippines. It is currently the largest ocean park in the Philippines, tripling the size of the Manila Ocean Park.

NUSTAR Resort and Casino is a 9-hectare (22-acre) resort and casino facility that as of 2021 is under construction on Kawit Point (formerly Kawit Island), South Road Properties (SRP), Cebu City, Philippines. The project, which is expected to include restaurants, bars, a mall, convention center, casino, park, theater, and at least three hotels, is a joint venture of the Cebu City Government and Universal Hotels and Resorts, Inc. The project is slated for completion in 2022.

SM Seaside City Cebu, also known locally as SM Seaside or just Seaside, is a large shopping mall owned and developed by SM Prime Holdings in Cebu City, Philippines that opened on 27 November 2015, exactly 22 years after SM City Cebu, which opened in 1993. It is the centerpiece of the SM - Ayala Land Joint Venture Estate called South Coast City, a 30-hectare mixed-use development at the South Road Properties. It is currently the fourth largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the fourteenth in the world. The mall has a gross leasable area (GLA) of more than 470,486 square meters. SM Seaside City Cebu is SM Prime Holdings' third mall in Metro Cebu and its 56th mall in the Philippines. The mall is designed by Arquitectonica, the same company which designed SM City North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia and SM Megamall.

SM Seaside Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena that as of 2023 is under construction in South Road Properties, Cebu City, Philippines. The arena, located adjacent to the SM Seaside City complex, is estimated to have a 16,000-seating capacity and, once completed, will be the largest indoor arena in Cebu.First proposed in 2013, the arena is planned to be a venue for local and international concerts, sports events, international conventions, and as the venue of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) and some select Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) games. The arena was also one of the proposed venues for the failed Philippine bid for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.In January 2017, reports emerged that developer SM Prime Holdings had canceled its plans to build the arena. However, plans for the arena resumed in late 2019, with the arena, instead of being within the SM Seaside complex, now placed within South Coast City, an adjacent mixed-use development co-owned by SM Prime with Ayala Land.

The Pasil Fish Market is a major fish wholesale market located in Barangay Suba, Cebu City, Philippines. Established in 1921, the market deals primary in fresh fish sourced from the Visayan Sea, Samar Sea, Camotes Sea and Bohol Strait.The market, which was constructed with light materials and had wooden stalls, was originally part of Barangay Pasil, thus its name. After the city ordinance dividing the barangay into two was approved, it was determined that the market was situated within the boundaries of Barangay Suba. It was later renovated in the 80's by Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña who also negotiated with the Belgian government for the construction of a nearby fish port. Through City Ordinance No. 1419, the city government in March 1992 renamed Bugallon Street, where the market is located, to Belgium Street to recognize the Belgian government's role in the area's economic development.Several incidents of protected species and products derived from them being sold in the market have also been reported such as manta ray, sting ray, green sea turtle, and shark meat.On May 3, 2020, Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella ordered the temporary closure of the market, including the Suba Fish Port, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was scheduled to reopen on August 15, 2020 but was moved to August 28, 2020.

It accounts for 19.9 percent of the land area and 61.5 percent of the population (2020 census) of the entire province of Cebu. Metro Cebu is a metropolitan area that consists of Cebu City (the capital of Cebu and the regional center of Central Visayas) along with twelve surrounding cities and municipalities. The Metropolitan Cebu Development and Coordinating Board (MCDCB) is a body mandated to formulate development plans for the Metro Cebu area and coordinate their implementation. Unlike the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the MCDCB does not have legal and institutional powers. However, MMDA's powers are limited by jurisdiction to only the core of the agglomeration. It is the third largest metropolitan area in the Philippines, after Metro Manila and Metro Davao.
