Kilcleagh (Irish: Cill Chliathach) is a civil parish in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located about 34.79 kilometres (22 mi) west–south–west of Mullingar. Kilcleagh is one of 4 civil parishes in the barony of Clonlonan in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 15,181.6 acres (61.438 km2). Clonlonan (Irish: Cluain Lonáin) is a barony in south–west County Westmeath, Ireland. It was formed by 1672. It is bordered by County Offaly to the south and a small part of County Roscommon at Long Island on the River Shannon to the west. It also borders four other Westmeath baronies: Kilkenny West and Rathconrath (to the north), Moycashel (to the north–east) and Brawny (to the west). The largest centre of population in the barony is the town of Moate.

Ballinlassy (Irish: Baile an Leasa) is a small townland in the civil parish of Kilcleagh and the historical barony of Clonlonan in County Westmeath, Ireland. Located near the village of Ballynahown, Ballinlassy borders the townlands of Cartrons, Killomenaghan & Farranmanny South to the north, Curraghbeg & Kilbillaghan to the west and Castletown to the east. The River Boor flows through the townland. Ballinlassy, which has an area of approximately 0.7 square kilometres (0.3 sq mi), had a population of 27 as of the 2011 census.

Ballyloughloe is one of 4 civil parishes in the barony of Clonlonan in the Province of Leinster. The civil parish covers 13,004 acres (52.63 km2). Doon (Irish: An Clochán) is a small village in the north-west corner of County Offaly, Ireland. The Doon landscape is dominated by the ruins of the castle of Esker, which stands on a sandy ridge north of Doon crossroads. A short distance to the east of the crossroads stands the ruin of an ancient building know locally as 'the monastery'. It was the private religious house attached to the castle. The area's (mostly) farming community and catchment are served by Doon's pub (Martins of Doon), the local Gaelic football club (Doon GAA).

Mount Temple (Irish: an Grianán) is a village in County Westmeath in Ireland, about 6.5 km northwest of Moate. It is noted for its golf course of the same name. It was historically called Ballyloughloe. Mount Temple, along with its sister village Baylin (or Baelin), are the only two villages in the civil parish of Ballyloughloe.

Aghanashanamore is a townland in the civil parish of Ballyloughloe in County Westmeath, Ireland, east of Athlone and bordered by Mount Temple.

Ballinahown (Irish: Baile na hAbhann), also spelled Ballynahown, is a village in County Westmeath on the N62 regional road in Ireland. It is 10 km (6.2 mi) south of Athlone and 5 km (3.1 mi) east of the River Shannon. It contains the Roman Catholic St. Colmcilles Church, completed in 1902 to a design in the Early English Gothic-style by William Hague.

Belville is a townland in County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located about 10 miles (16 km) east of Athlone. Belville is one of a number townlands of the Irish civil parish of Ballyloughloe in the barony of Clonlonan in the Province of Leinster. The townland covers 242 acres (0.98 km2). In the 1911 census of Ireland, it was spelt "Bellville" and there were four houses and fourteen inhabitants in the townland.

Moate railway station is a former railway station which served the town of Moate in County Westmeath, Ireland. Previously a stop on the Midland Great Western Railway's main line to Galway and later on the main route between Dublin and stations in County Mayo, the station was closed in 1987. As of 2015, the line and station at Moate form part of the Athlone to Mullingar Cycleway.

Moate (; Irish: An Móta) is a town in County Westmeath, Ireland. As of the 2022 census, it had a population of 3,013. The town's Irish name, An Móta, is derived from the term motte-and-bailey, as the Normans built an example of this type of fortification here. The earthwork is still visible behind the buildings on the main street. The town later became an important marketplace and Quaker village. It made the town more wealthy than equivalent towns in Leinster. There are several extant examples of Quaker houses on the main street, which itself is typical of an Irish marketplace.

Baylin (; Irish: Béal Linne), also written Bealin is a village in County Westmeath, Ireland, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of Athlone. Its postal address is Baylin, Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland. A medieval high cross stands in the eastern part of the village. Baylin and its 'sister' village, Mount Temple, form the only two in the parish of Ballyloughloe (often referred to as Caulry or Mount Temple).
