El Hatillo (Spanish: El Hatillo) is the seat of El Hatillo Municipality in Miranda, Venezuela.

The 1986 Eisenhower Trophy took place 22 to 25 October at the Lagunita Country Club in Caracas, Venezuela. It was the 15th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 39 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Canada won the Eisenhower Trophy for the first time, finishing three strokes ahead of the silver medalists, United States. Chinese Taipei took the bronze medal, a further eight strokes behind with Sweden finishing fourth. Eduardo Herrera, representing Colombia, had the lowest individual score, 5-under-par 275.

The 1974 World Cup took place 21–24 November at the Lagunita Country Club in Caracas, Venezuela. It was the 22nd World Cup event. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 46 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. The South Africa team of Bobby Cole and Dale Hayes won by five strokes over the Japan team of Isao Aoki and Masashi Ozaki. The individual competition for the International Trophy, was won by Cole, five strokes ahead Ozaki. Dale Hayes, just 22 years of age and Cole, being 26, became the youngest pair ever to win the World Cup, formerly named the Canada Cup. It was the second victory for South Africa in the history of the event, since Gary Player and Harold Henning won the tournament for South Africa in 1965.

Palo Verde is a Caracas Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 10 November 1989 as part of the extension of Line 1 from Los Dos Caminos to Palo Verde. It serves as the easter terminus of the line. The adjacent station is Petare.

Saint Mary University (Spanish: Universidad Santa María) (USM) is a private university in Venezuela. USM has campuses in several cities, such as Caracas (where the main campus is located), Puerto La Cruz, Barinas and Puerto Ayacucho. The university was founded on October 13, 1953, by Lola de Fuenmayor in El Paraíso neighborhood (Southwestern Caracas). In 1983, the main campus of the university was built in La Florencia (East Caracas).

The Metropolitan University (Spanish: Universidad Metropolitana) (Unimet) is a Venezuelan university founded in 1970 by a group of entrepreneurs led by Eugenio Mendoza Goiticoa in the terrains donated by the businessman Pius Schlageter, father of the Venezuelan painter Eduardo Schlageter. It is in the Terrazas del Ávila section of Caracas.

Dulce Nombre de Jesus de Petare is a neighborhood in Miranda, Venezuela, and is part of the Metropolitan District of Caracas. It is located in the Sucre Municipality, one of the five divisions of Caracas. The city was founded in 1621 under the name of San Jose de Guanarito. It grew to become a part of the Greater Caracas area as the latter expanded in area and population. Petare had a population of 372,106 inhabitants and about 448,861 according to 2020 estimates. Petare is the biggest slum in Venezuela, and in South America. The neighborhood is towards the eastern edge of Caracas, but has developed its own commercial core. Two universities are located in Petare: Universidad Santa María and Universidad Metropolitana. Poverty remains a major limitation to the city's development.

La California is a Caracas Metro station on Line 1. It was opened on 10 November 1989 as part of the extension of Line 1 from Los Dos Caminos to Palo Verde. The station is between Los Cortijos and Petare.
