Kaitaa metro station

Kaitaa (Finnish) or Kaitans (Swedish) is a district of southern Espoo, Finland, located south of the Länsiväylä highway, with a population of 6000. Kaitaa mostly consists of detached houses, and contains the Hannusjärvi recreational area. There has been a preservation attempt in May 1998 to save the future of the lake. In the southern part of the district is the Iivisniemi apartment building area. Espoo plans high buildings along the coast-line.

Soukka (Finnish) or Sökö (Swedish) is district number 33 of Espoo, Finland, located in southwestern Espoo in the main district of Suur-Espoonlahti.

Finnoo (Finnish) or Finno (Swedish) is an underground station on the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro in Finland. The entrances to the station located along the Finnoo Hill and in the commercial services block. The station opened on 3 December 2022, located 1,3 kilometres east from Kaitaa metro station and 1,6 kilometres west from Matinkylä metro station.

Soukka (Finnish) or Sökö (Swedish) is an underground station on the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro in Finland. The station is opened on 3 December 2022, located 1.3 kilometres southeast from Espoonlahti metro station and 1.6 kilometres west from Kaitaa metro station. The station has two exits, one on Soukantori and one on Yläkartanontie. Soukka is the most southern metro station in Finland

Nöykkiö (Finnish) or Nöykis (Swedish) is a district of Espoo, Finland. It was originally known only by its Swedish name Nöykis, but the Finnish name "Nöykkiö" came into use in the 1940s.

Suur-Espoonlahti (Finnish) or Stor-Esboviken (Swedish) is a south-western main district of Espoo, a city in Finland. It contains the districts Espoonlahti, Kaitaa, Latokaski, Nöykkiö, Saunalahti, Soukka and Suvisaaristo. It is one of the fastest-growing districts in Espoo with Suur-Leppävaara.

Espoonlahti (Finnish) or Esboviken (Swedish) (literally The Bay of Espoo or Espoo Bay) is one of the five major urban areas of Espoo, a city in Finland. It lies along the south-western coast of Espoo, bounded to the west by the bay of the same name, to the south by the shores of the Gulf of Finland, to the west by the Finnoo (Finnå) valley, to the east of the municipal border of Kirkkonummi, and to the north by the forests of Espoo central forest area. This total area of about 4,800 hectares is further divided into areas called Soukka, Suvisaaristo, Kaitaa, Nöykkiö, Latokaski and Saunalahti, with one greater center called Espoonlahden keskus ( Espoonlahti center). Areas known as Laurinlahti, Ylä-Kivenlahti, Ala-Kivenlahti and Iivisniemi are also part of the Espoonlahti district. Yet another name pertinent to this area is Kanta-Espoonlahti (Espoonlahti Proper), which includes Espoonlahden keskus, Soukanmäki (Soukka Hill), Kivenlahti, Laurinlahti and Soukanniemi (Soukka Peninsula).

Espoonlahti (Finnish) or Esboviken (Swedish) is an underground station on the western metro extension (Länsimetro) of the Helsinki Metro in Finland. The station is opened on 3 December 2022, is located on the southwestern side of the shopping center Lippulaiva, near Espoonlahti, between Espoonlahti and Solmutori, 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) east from Kivenlahti metro station and 1.3 kilometers (0.81 mi) northwest from Soukka metro station.

Espoonlahti Church (Finnish: Espoonlahden kirkko, Swedish: Esbovikens kyrka) is a Lutheran church situated in Espoonlahti, Espoo, Finland. It was designed by architects Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, architects of the Rock Church (Temppeliaukion kirkko), who were also members of the Espoonlahti congregation. The groundstone for the church was set in August 1979 and the building was completed in 1980. The organs were built and assembled in 1983. As the number of members in the congregation grew rapidly, additional rooms were soon needed. This new phase of building was completed in 1987, also by the architects Suomalainen.The shape of floor in the church hall is a polygon, and positioned so that during church service the Sun lights up the altar wall. The church hall itself seats 410 but when it is opened to the adjoining congregational hall, 710 can be seated. The building materials include concrete, copper and stone hewn from the bedrock on the building site. The interior face of the exterior walls is mainly laid in roughly cut stone blocks, while parts of it are made from concrete elements. The style is modern and some parts of the building lie about one metre deep in the bedrock. A votive ship hangs above the altar.

Suvisaaristo (Finnish) or Sommaröarna (Swedish) is a maritime district in Espoo, Finland, districts number 451 and 452, and an archipelago in the Gulf of Finland, directly in front of a peninsula in Soukka, in the southwestern corner of Espoo. Inhabitants of Suvisaaristo have always been an active people, and there are nine registered communities on the islands, the most numerous of which are the yacht club ESF, the canoe club Canoa, the youth club SViE, the local free fire brigade, and the district inhabitant community Sommarö Society, whose work resulted in Suvisaaristo getting its own water cooperative in 1999, after the city of Espoo refused to pay the costs of a water network, because of the expenses resulting from such a loosely populated district. The network was implemented with a new technology, a pressurised sewer, which is more ecological than the traditional solution. The Uusimaa region council chose Suvisaaristo as the Uusimaa Village of the Year in 2007.The YTV regional bus line 145 goes to the end of Suvisaaristontie one or two times every hour. A local shop can be found a hundred metres after the Suvisaaristo bridge on the right-hand side, and on the way in Skatan there is a gas station for boaters in summertime. In summertime, there are Espoo tour boats between Suvisaaristo and the continental strait of Suinonsalmi (Swedish Svinösund).

Länsimetro (English: Western Metro, Swedish: Västmetron) is an extension to the Helsinki Metro system in Finland, which opened on 18 November 2017. Länsimetro extends the system's two lines, M1 and M2, from Central Helsinki to the neighbouring city of Espoo. The new stretch continues the lines from the existing Ruoholahti station via the island of Lauttasaari, the Aalto University Otaniemi campus and Tapiola, the terminus of line M2. Line M1 continues further west to Matinkylä. Unlike previous extensions to the Helsinki Metro system, Länsimetro runs entirely underground. The second phase opened on 3 December 2022 and continues the line further west to Kivenlahti, near the municipal border of Kirkkonummi. Final approval for a 13.5-kilometre (8.4 mi) route was granted on 4 April 2007, and construction began in November 2009. In February 2014, rock blasting was completed, and the fitting out of the tunnels and construction of the stations was started. The opening of the extension was planned for August 2016, but was delayed until November 2017.
