The Lawrence Cabin is a log cabin located on Cobbs Creek in Powder Mill Valley Park in Havertown, Pennsylvania, near Nitre Hall.

Nitre Hall is a 19th-century building in Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Built shortly after 1800 on the banks of Cobbs Creek, by Israel Whelen, Jr., the hall was the residence of the master of the Nitre Hall Powder Mills, which has long since been torn down. With the ground floor reserved for custodians, the upper two floors are decorated in Empire and Victorian style. The top floor contains various temporary exhibits and the educational Colonial Living Experience. It is near Lawrence Cabin, another historic building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.Nitre Hall is open to the public May through October, in December for special events, and by appointment for a nominal admission charge, according to the Haverford Township Historical Society. The building's main use is for school and group field trips. The historical society puts on a "day in the life" show for the township's fifth graders.

The Grange Estate, also known as Maen-Coch and Clifton Hall, is a historic mansion built by Henry Lewis Jr. (1671–1730) in Havertown, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Parts of a c. 1700 residence may be incorporated in the carriage house. The main house, built in c. 1750 and expanded several times through the 1850s, was purchased by Haverford Township in 1974. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 as The Grange. The mansion, an example of the Gothic Revival style, is presented in the state it was in at the turn of the 20th century. The grounds also feature Victorian gardens.The house was owned by patriot and Philadelphia merchant John Ross during the late 18th century, who named his country estate after the home of Lafayette. Ross's house was frequented by several notable historic figures, including George Washington and Lafayette.In 1815, the house was purchased by Manuel Eyre, Jr., son of Washington aide Manuel Eyre, who served with Washington during the Revolution. The Eyre family held the estate longer than any other, first from 1815 to 1846, and then, through their Ashhurst cousins, from 1848 to 1911. The last family to occupy the mansion did so from 1913 until 1974, when it was sold to the Haverford Historical Society. The mansion is now maintained as a museum and community center. Regular tours are available from April to October and during the December holidays.

Only local trains stop at Township Line Road. The station lies 1.4 track miles from 69th Street Terminal.

It serves the Norristown High Speed Line and is located at Edgewood and Strathmore Roads, although SEPTA gives the address as Beechwood and Karakung Drives. Both local trains and Hughes Park Express trains stop at Beechwood–Brookline. The station lies 2.5 track miles from 69th Street Terminal. The station has off-street parking available.

Haverford Township is a home rule municipality township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Haverford is named after the town of Haverfordwest in Wales, United Kingdom. It is a commuting suburb located due west of Philadelphia and is officially known as the Township of Haverford. Despite being under a home rule charter since 1977, it continues to operate under a Board of Commissioners divided into wards, as do "First Class" townships that are still under the Pennsylvania Township Code. Haverford Township was founded in 1682 and incorporated in 1911. Haverford Senior High School is the public high school of Haverford Township, Pennsylvania, United States, operated by the School District of Haverford Township. It is at 200 Mill Road in Havertown. The school serves the entirety of Haverford Township, including all of the unincorporated community of "Havertown" (a place name created by the US Postal Service to designate ZIP Code 19083, which is wholly within Haverford Township), and the Haverford Township portions of the unincorporated communities of Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Drexel Hill, and Wynnewood. Approximately 90% of Haverford's graduates continue their formal education at colleges, universities and technical schools. Haverford students traditionally are well-placed in the National Merit Scholar Program and other academic award competitions in mathematics, science, foreign languages, writing, art and music. All five elementary schools in the School District of Haverford Township feed into the middle school, which then feeds into Haverford High School. Haverford High operates WHHS, the first FM broadcast high school radio station in the United States. The High School also has an award-winning newspaper that is almost over 80 years old The Fordian.

WHHS (99.9 FM) is a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to the School District of Haverford Township in Havertown, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Philadelphia), and run by the students of Haverford High School. Studios are located within the school, and the transmitter is located on top of the building. Typical show formats include rock, Top 40, classic rock, rap/hip-hop, sports talk, political talk, and sometimes more eclectic genres like classical or jazz. Occasionally, shows feature live performances from local or school-based bands. Students apply for a radio show (usually 90 minutes long), and a typical show has 2-4 hosts. On the basis of interviews and previous experience with the station, students are chosen to fill several positions, including general manager, technical director, programming director, promotions director, music director, and sports director. The radio station provides an introduction into the radio or communications industries for students interested in careers in these fields.
