Hurffville is an unincorporated community within Washington Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. Hurffville got its name from the Hurff family, one of the early settlers to the township.Hurffville School is an elementary school in Hurffville and is one of the oldest schools in the Washington Township Public School District.

Pitman High School is a comprehensive community public high school in Pitman, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Pitman School District.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 343 students and 33.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1. There were 20 students (5.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 3 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Pitman is a borough in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 8,780, a decrease of 231 (−2.6%) from the 2010 census count of 9,011, which in turn reflected a decline of 320 (−3.4%) from the 9,331 in the 2000 census. The borough was named for Rev. Charles Pitman, a Methodist minister.

The Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park, located in Mantua Township, New Jersey, consists of a 66-million-year-old 6-inch (150 mm) bone bed set into a 65-acre (26 ha) former marl quarry. It is currently the only facility east of the Mississippi River that has an active open quarry for public Community Dig Days. Formed at the end of the Cretaceous Period during the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event, this rich fossil deposit is abundant in marine life which is indicative of the shallow sea that once covered the area that would become Southern New Jersey. The fossil park is undergoing renovations to become the site of the Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park Museum and will be available for school, scout, camp, and public programs once construction is complete. It is currently closed to the public and will reopen after the completion of the museum in 2023. The Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park is owned and operated by Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey thanks in part to a generous donation from Jean and Ric Edelman.

Pitman Grove is a 20-acre (8.1 ha) historic district located in the borough of Pitman in Gloucester County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1977, for its significance in architecture, religion, and community planning. The district includes 349 contributing buildings.The Grove centers around a circular park where the Pitman Grove Auditorium was constructed. Twelve numbered avenues, lined with cottages, radiate from this circle like spokes on the hub of a wheel.The Grove was established in 1871 as a Methodist summer camp meeting site. From its early days, it attracted a large number of visitors. In 1892, a reporter for The Philadelphia Record recorded 60,000 visitors over a 16-day period. Increasingly, people started to live in the Grove year-round. In 1905, it became a part of the Borough of Pitman.

The Investors Bank Performing Arts Center is a 2,400-seat theater located in Washington Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States, that is one of South Jersey's major entertainment venues. Completed in 1998, the 2,400-seat Center was originally designed as the auditorium for Washington Township High School, built to hold the school's 2,000 student body. During the planning stages of the facility, officials decided that the auditorium should host large scale productions in an effort to bring local and regional entertainment to the area. Now known as the Investors Bank Arts Center, the center originally opened its doors on September 1, 1998, with a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King & I.

The school serves students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Washington Township Public School District. It is one of the largest public high schools in South Jersey. The school building itself is just over a quarter of a mile long. It is located at 509, 519 and 529 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,165 students and 177.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.2:1. There were 256 students (11.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 69 (3.2% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Washington Township High School is the home of the Republic Bank Performing Arts Center, known until 2022 as the Investors Bank Performing Arts Center, a 2,500-seat performing arts center located at the center of the school. Most of the school's concerts and events are held there, and many notables have performed in this center, including the Barenaked Ladies, Tony Bennett, Wayne Brady, George Carlin, David Copperfield, Bill Cosby, BB King, Barry Manilow, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Jessica Simpson, Lewis Black, Pete Davidson, and "Weird Al" Yankovic.

It is the sole secondary school of the Glassboro Public Schools. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 522 students and 53.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.8:1. There were 176 students (33.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 21 (4.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Rowan University is a public research university in Glassboro, New Jersey, with a medical campus in Stratford and medical and academic campuses in Camden. Founded in 1923 as Glassboro Normal School on a 25-acre (10 ha) site donated by 107 residents, the school was formerly known as Glassboro State College from 1958 until 1992 and Rowan College of New Jersey from 1992 to 1997. The George Jr. and Sarah Morgan House, also known as the Olde Stone House, is a historic Georgian style house located at 208 Egg Harbor Road in Washington Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. Built c. 1765, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 8, 2019, for its significance in architecture.

St. Thomas Episcopal Church is a historic church located at the southeast corner of Main and Focer streets in the borough of Glassboro in Gloucester County, New Jersey. It was built in 1846 and documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1937, with an addendum in 1984. It added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 3, 1975, for its significance in architecture.
