Williamsport is a city in, and the county seat of, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 27,754. It is the principal city of the Williamsport Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of about 114,000. Williamsport is the larger principal city of the Williamsport-Lock Haven Combined Statistical Area, which includes Lycoming and Clinton counties.The city is the cultural, financial, and commercial center of North Central Pennsylvania. It is 131 miles (211 km) from Philadelphia, 166 miles (267 km) from Pittsburgh and 85 miles (137 km) from Harrisburg. It is known for its sports, arts scene and food. Williamsport was settled by Americans in the late 18th century, and began to prosper due to its lumber industry. By the early 20th century, it reached the height of its prosperity. The population has since declined by approximately 40 percent from its peak of around 45,000 in 1950. As county seat, Williamsport has the county courthouse, county prison, sheriff's office headquarters and federal courthouse, all downtown. It is also home to two institutions of higher learning, the Pennsylvania College of Technology, also known as Penn College, and Lycoming College. Williamsport is the birthplace of Little League Baseball. South Williamsport, a town across the West Branch Susquehanna River, is the headquarters of Little League Baseball and annually hosts the Little League World Series in late summer. Other points of interest include the Hiawatha riverboat, Millionaires' Row, Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum, the Community Arts Center, the Genetti Hotel, the Susquehanna Riverwalk, and The Gallery at Penn College. Williamsport is located 129.2 miles (207.9 km) northwest of Allentown and 86.3 miles (138.9 km) north of Harrisburg.

Trinity Episcopal Church is an historic church located in north-central Pennsylvania, at 844 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Built in 1875 and consecrated in February 1876, it is the largest of the Episcopal churches in the city. Preservation Williamsport includes the church on its first trolley tour stop. The church structure was given to the parish by Peter Herdic. Trinity Church is currently the Pro-Cathedral of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania. The current rector of Trinity Parish and provost of the pro-cathedral is The Reverend Canon Kenneth E. Wagner-Pizza.

The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The Millionaire's Row Historic District was listed in 1985.

The Community Arts Center is a 2,078-seat performing arts center located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, next to the Genetti Hotel. Originally a movie palace, it opened in 1928 as the Capitol Theatre. It reopened after restoration in 1993 as the Community Arts Center. Williamsport City Hall, formerly the United States Post Office, is a historic building located at 245 West 4th Street between Government Place and West Street in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It was built between 1888 and 1891, and is a 2 1/2 to 3-story building, with a two-story addition and six-story tower. The exterior is faced with rough-faced gray limestone ashlar. It was designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect under the direction of William A. Freret.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 as a post office.

It is one of six locations that are part of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. The Herman T. Schneebeli Federal Building and Courthouse was opened in 1977 and was named after United States Representative Herman T. Schneebeli.In 2019 the courthouse was home to the Bill Courtright bribery, extortion and criminal conspiracy case.

Otto Bookstore is an independent bookstore in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Alexander M. Dean in 1877. The store was named after his partner H.Y. Otto. While initially the store was located in Market Square, it later moved to West Fourth Street where it currently resides.

The conventions name came from the mascot of the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Wildcat Comic Con placed extra value with educators and librarians and how comic books and graphic novels can be used in the educational fields.

Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn College) is a public college in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It is affiliated with, but a self-governing entity of, Pennsylvania State University. As an applied technology college (known by the locals and alumni alike as "Penn Tech", for decades) the school offers certificate, associate, baccalaureate, and master's degree programs in more than 100 fields of study. The college's student body is 64% male and 86% are full-time.Pennsylvania College of Technology is broken down into three schools of study; School of Business, Arts & Sciences, School of Engineering Technologies and School of Nursing & Health Sciences.The college's athletic teams play under the school's nickname the Penn College Wildcats.
