Radio ffn is a commercial radio station operated by Funk & Fernsehen Nordwestdeutschland GmbH & Co. KG in Lower Saxony, Germany. It broadcasts from regional studios in Braunschweig, Göttingen, Hanover (station HQ), Lüneburg, Oldenburg, and Osnabrück. The station's managing director is Harald Gehrung and its program chief is Ina Tenz. As well as transmitting on FM and satellite (DVB-S) ffn has since 2010 also been receivable via iPhone and iPad, with separate apps for each device.

St. Nicholas' Chapel (German: Nikolaikapelle) was a chapel in the German city of Hanover dedicated to saint Nicholas. First built between 1250 and 1284 and with a choir dating to 1325, it was largely destroyed during the bombing of Hanover in World War II and is now in ruins.

Steintor is a Hanover Stadtbahn station served by all C and D lines. The C lines were built underground, which is the junction for all lines continuing west. Lines 4, 5 and 16 branch off eastwards towards the next station, Königsworther Platz (the latter one is the terminus at that station), while lines 6 and 11 branch off northbound, where the next station is Christuskirche.

The Reitwallstraße is a street in Hanover, Germany, near the pedestrianised Am Steintor. It is part of the red-light district, which is bounded by Reuterstraße, Goethestraße, Reitwallstraße and Am Marstall and is crossed by Scholvinstraße. The street is known for prostitution and strip clubs.

Gehry Tower is a nine-story building constructed by architect Frank Gehry; it is located at the Steintor, Goethestraße 13a, in Hanover, Germany. The building was commissioned by the city-owned Hanover Transport Services (üstra), for whom Gehry also designed a bus stop in the city. Constructed of stainless steel, the tower is memorable for the noticeable twist in its outer façade on a ferroconcrete core, making optimal use of the relatively small piece of ground on which it is located. Like many of Gehry's buildings, the tower was created with the most modern technology available at the time. Gehry's office first created a 1:100 model, which was then scanned and imported into CAD software to be able to compute the dimensions for the individual parts, all of which vary in size and shape. Construction began in 1999, cost 8.5 million Deutsche Mark, and the building officially opened 28 June 2001.

GISMA Business School is a privately owned business school in Germany with its main site in Hannover and a branch in Berlin. It was launched in September 1999 as a joint initiative by the German state of Lower Saxony and several large private-sector companies that were based there. In financial difficulty after its partnership with Krannert School of Management ended, GISMA was rescued from bankruptcy when it was bought by the for-profit education company Global University Systems in September 2013.As of 2018 it offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including MBAs, all of which are delivered and awarded by external institutions, as well as short courses in executive education.

The Kreuzkirche is a Lutheran church in the centre of Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony, Germany. The Gothic hall church is one of three churches in its Old Town; the other two are the Marktkirche and the now-ruined Aegidienkirche. It was dedicated in 1330 to the Holy Cross. The church became Lutheran in the Reformation. It was expanded then, and renovated in the 19th century. Destroyed by bombs in World War II, it was rebuilt in simpler form. It received an altar by Lucas Cranach which had been in the Schlosskirche that was not rebuilt. The official name became then Schloss- und Stadtkirche St. Crucis Hannover (Palace- and town church of the Holy Cross). From 1982, the Kreuzkirche parish became part of the Marktkirche parish.

Historisches Museum Hannover is a historical museum Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, founded in 1903 as Vaterländisches Museum der Stadt Hannover. Its collections are related to the history of the city, the history of the governing House of Welf, and of the state of Lower Saxony.

Broyhan House (German: Broyhanhaus) is a residential and commercial building constructed in 1576 in Hanover's historic old town (Altstadt). It is the second-oldest preserved half-timbered building in Hanover, and stands on the cellar walls of an earlier building dating to the 14th century. The house is named after Cord Broyhan, a brewer who lived in an earlier building from 1537 until 1561.The beer that Broyhan is credited to have invented and that is named after him had a profoundly positive economic impact on Hanover. Broyhan beer creased being brewed in 1919, but the Gilde Brewery that resulted from the brewers guild formed in 1546, in part by Broyhan, is still operating as of 2024.

St. Clement's Basilica is the main Roman Catholic church in the city of Hanover. It is dedicated to Saint Clement of Rome. It is part of the parish of St. Heinrich and belongs to the Diocese of Hildesheim.

The Marktkirche St. Georgii et Jacobi (Market Church of Sts. George and James), commonly known as Marktkirche ("The Church on the Marketplace"), is the main Lutheran church in Hanover, Germany. It was built in the 14th century and, together with the nearby Old Town Hall, is considered the southernmost example of the North German brick gothic (norddeutsche Backsteingotik) architectural style. The roof and the vaults of the naves were destroyed in an air raid in 1943 and restored in 1952. The church is a hallenkirche (hall church). Above the nave and two aisles rises a monumental saddleback roof. The high western tower was a symbol for the power and the wealth of the citizens of the town. It is still one of the highest towers in Lower-Saxony and a landmark of the city.

The Hanover Regional Church Office (LKA) serves as the supreme administrative authority for the administration of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover and was formed from the Consistory of this regional church. The Regional Church Office is one of the five Church Governing Constitutional Organs of the Regional Church of Hanover. The ecclesiastical authority is headquartered at Rote Reihe 6 street in the Calenberger Neustadt district in Hanover, in Germany's state of Lower Saxony.
