The Ankara Synagogue (Turkish: Ankara Sinagogu) is the largest synagogue in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. It was built between 63 BCE in Ulus. The synagogue, which has been open for about 750 years, is the only Jewish mausoleum in Ankara.

Ankara Opera House (Turkish: Opera Sahnesi) of the Turkish State Opera and Ballet is the largest of the three venues for opera and ballet in Ankara, Turkey, the other two being Leyla Gencer Sahnesi in Ostim and Operet Sahnesi (Operetta Theater) in Sıhhiye. The building was originally designed by the Turkish architect Şevki Balmumcu as an exhibition center, who came first in an international competition for the project in 1933. It was later converted into an opera house by the German architect Paul Bonatz, and started serving this function on April 2, 1948. The same building also serves as a theatre venue for the Turkish State Theatres under the name Büyük Tiyatro. The construction of a new main opera house for Ankara, in the vicinity of the original and of considerably larger capacity, is underway since 2005.

The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations (Turkish: Anadolu Medeniyetleri Müzesi) is located on the south side of Ankara Castle in the Atpazarı area in Ankara, Turkey. It consists of the old Ottoman Mahmut Paşa bazaar storage building, and the Kurşunlu Han. Because of Atatürk's desire to establish a Hittite museum, the buildings were bought upon the suggestion of Hamit Zübeyir Koşay, who was then Culture Minister, to the National Education Minister, Saffet Arıkan. After the remodelling and repairs were completed (1938–1968), the building was opened to the public as the Ankara Archaeological Museum. Today, Kurşunlu Han, used as an administrative building, houses the work rooms, library, conference hall, laboratory and workshop. The old bazaar building houses the exhibits. Within this Ottoman building, the museum has a number of exhibits of Anatolian archeology. They start with the Paleolithic era, and continue chronologically through the Neolithic, Early Bronze, Assyrian trading colonies, Hittite, Phrygian, Urartian, Greek, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuq and Ottoman periods. There is also an extensive collection of artifacts from the excavations at Karain, Çatalhöyük, Hacılar, Canhasan, Beyce Sultan, Alacahöyük, Kültepe, Acemhöyük, Boğazköy (Gordion), Pazarlı, Altıntepe, Adilcevaz and Patnos as well as examples of several periods. The exhibits of gold, silver, glass, marble and bronze works date back as far as the second half of the first millennium BC. The coin collections, with examples ranging from the first minted money to modern times, represent the museum's rare cultural treasures. Museum of Anatolian Civilizations reaching the present time with its historical buildings and its deeply rooted history was elected as the first "European Museum of the Year" in Switzerland on April 19, 1997.

The Mehmet Akif Ersoy Literature Museum Library (Turkish: Mehmet Akif Ersoy Edebiyat Müze Kütüphanesi) is a literary museum and archive dedicated to Turkish literature and named after the poet Mehmet Âkif Ersoy (1873–1936), the Turkish poet of the Turkish National Anthem. Located in Ankara, Turkey, the museum was established by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and opened on March 12, 2011, the 90th anniversary of the adoption the national anthem.The museum is housed in a two-storey building, which reflects the typical architecture of old Ankara houses. The building, restored for this purpose, is located in Hamamönü neighborhood Altındağ district. The library accommodates around 7,000 books and 100 periodicals, including the works of Ersoy and books written about him. The archive is dedicated to well-known authors native to Ankara and surrounding places. Books about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881–1938), the Gallipoli Campaign (1915–1916) and the War of Independence (1919–1923) are also part of the collection.At the museum's ground floor, awarded literary works and author-signed books are exhibited in addition to periodicals on literature. Here is a special section allocated to the life and works of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, where his personal belonging are also on display. At the upper floor, books about Ankara and works of authors from Ankara are offered. Discussions on various authors, book signing events, poetry performances and writing workshops take also place at the museum library. It is the first of its kind in Turkey. Minister Ertuğrul Günay told during the opening ceremony that it is part of a project of museum-library network called "Seven museum libraries in seven regions of Turkey", namely Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar Literature Museum Library in Istanbul, Ahmet Arif Literature Museum Library in Diyarbakır, Karacaoğlan Literature Museum Library in Adana, Erzurumlu Emrah Literature Museum Library in Erzurum, Attila İlhan Literature Museum Library in Izmir and Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu Literature Museum Library in Trabzon that will follow soon.The museum is open during weekdays between 10:00 and 19:00 local time.

Ankara Castle (Turkish: Ankara Kalesi) is an historic fortification in the city of Ankara, Turkey, constructed in or after the 7th century. The earliest fortification on the site was constructed in the 8th century BC by the Phrygians and rebuilt in 278 BC by the Galatians. The castle was rebuilt or renovated under the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman empires.

The Ethnography Museum of Ankara is dedicated to the cultures of Turkic civilizations. The building was designed by architect Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu and was built between 1925 and 1928. The museum temporarily hosted the sarcophagus of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk from 1938 to 1953, during the period of the construction of Anıtkabir, his final resting place.

Abdi İpekçi Park is an urban park in Ankara's Sıhhiye neighborhood. It was established in 1981 in honor of the assassinated Milliyet journalist Abdi İpekçi. Covering an area of 36,800 m2 (396,000 sq ft), the park has the usual geographic features and incorporates a sculpture featuring a hand opened towards the sky.
