Cathedral of the Dormition, Sofia

The Bulgarian Greek Catholic Church (Bulgarian: Българска източнокатолическа църква; Latin: Ecclesiae Graecae Catholico Bulgarica), sometimes called, in reference to its Byzantine Rite, the Bulgarian Byzantine Catholic Church is a sui juris particular church in full communion with the Catholic Church and the Pope of Rome.

The Bulgarian Eparchy of Saint John XXIII of Sofia is the fourth, so far last and sole jurisdiction, covering Bulgaria, of the Bulgarian Greek Catholic Church (Eastern Catholic, using the Byzantine Rite in Bulgarian language). Its cathedral episcopal see is the Cathedral of the Dormition (Катедрала Успение Богородично Катедрала Успение Богородично), in Bulgaria's capital Sofia, which also has a Latin Catholic diocesan see.

The Russian Monument (Bulgarian: Руски паметник, Ruski pametnik) is a monument in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The first monument to be built in the capital of the newly liberated Principality of Bulgaria, it was unveiled on 29 June 1882 and is located on the road which Osman Nuri Paşa used to flee from Sofia to Pernik on 22 December 1877. The funds for the construction of the memorial were collected by the Russian people. It is not exactly known who designed the monument, but it is supposed to be either the architect Vokar, who designed such monuments in Dobrich, Pleven Razgrad, Veliko Tarnovo, Svishtov, or Vladimir Sherwood, who worked in Pleven. The monument is an obelisk: a rectangular pyramid with a truncated top and a three-step pedestal. The eastern side of the memorial features a marble relief of the coat of arms of Russia and the Order of St. George, and a text commemorating Alexander II in pre-reform Russian. The western side features another inscribed plate. In the late 19th and early 20th century, the monument turned into a centre of the urban planning strategy for this part of Sofia. Today, it stands in the middle of an important round junction of the Skobelev and Totleben boulevards. The Five Corners junction, Macedonia Square and the Pirogov Hospital are located in the vicinity.

Macedonia Square (Bulgarian: площад „Македония“, ploshtad Makedoniya) is a main city square and junction in the center of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Prior to the democratic changes in 1989 it was named after Dimitar Blagoev.The main roads crossing the square are Macedonia Boulevard, Hristo Botev Boulevard and Alabin Street, which leads to the central Vitosha Boulevard. Several tram lines pass through the square. The buildings of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Road Infrastructure Agency are located nearby. The square is an area of rapid urban development with two of the tallest buildings in the city are located there and another one is under construction.

Hotel Rodina is a high-rise four-star hotel located in the centre of Sofia, Bulgaria. With height of about 104 metres and 25 stories, it is one of the tallest buildings in the city. It has 500 rooms, 6 luxury apartments and 9 conference rooms.

Pirogov Hospital (Bulgarian: Болница Пирогов) is a hospital for active treatment and emergency medicine in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It was founded in 1951 and as of 2006 has a capacity of 795 hospital beds, 33 clinics and departments and employed 2,418 medical and other staff. It was named after Russian surgeon Nikolay Pirogov.

The Aleksandrovska University Hospital (Bulgarian: университетска болница „Александровска“) is a university hospital in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It was founded in 1879 and was named after the Bulgarian Prince Alexander I Battenberg in October 1884. A military hospital between 1912 and 1919, it was the site where the Sofia Medical University was founded in 1917. The hospital is situated on 258,000 m2 (2,780,000 sq ft), having a capacity of 1,100 beds and a staff of 540.

NDK II (Bulgarian: НДК II) is a Sofia Metro station on M3 line. It was opened on 26 August 2020 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Hadzhi Dimitar to Krasno Selo. The station is located between St. Patriarch Evtimiy and Medical University. Transfer to NDK on M2 line is available.

The St. Ekaterina University Hospital (Bulgarian: университетска болница „Св. Екатерина“) is a university hospital in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It was formed in 1985 as a national centre for cardiovascular diseases led by professor Aleksandar Chirkov. A second centre was established in 1989 also under Chirkov, with the uniting on 3 February 2002 to form the present hospital.The St. Ekaterina Hospital is known for the first heart transplant in Eastern Europe (the then-Soviet bloc) in 1986. The hospital consists of three dynamic complexes — a diagnosis department, a hospital and an administrative and economic department.

Medical University (Bulgarian: Медицински университет) is a Sofia Metro station on M3 line. It was opened on 26 August 2020 as part of the inaugural section of the line, from Hadzhi Dimitar to Krasno Selo. The station is located between NDK II and Bulgaria.

Patriarch Evtimiy Boulevard (Bulgarian: Булевард Патриарх Евтимий) is a central boulevard in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. It is named after the 14th century Bulgarian Patriarch Saint Evtimiy of Tarnovo. It lies between its crossing with the Vasil Levski Boulevard and Graf Ignatiev Street at the Patriarch Evtimiy Square and the boulevards Praga, Hristo Botev and Skobelev at the Pette kyosheta juncture. Among the most important streets it crosses are the Georgi Rakovski Street, Frityov Nansen Street and Vitosha Boulevard. Its architecture is typical for Sofia during the 1930s and 1940s - mostly six-storey residential edifices with solid facades and relatively high and spacious flats.

NDK Metro Station (Bulgarian: Метростанция „Национален дворец на културата“ / Метростанция „НДК“, Natsionalen Dvorets na Kulturata, ‘National Palace of Culture’) is a station on the Sofia Metro in Bulgaria. It opened on 31 August 2012. Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borisov and the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso inaugurated the new section of the Sofia Metro, which was funded with EU money. On 26 August 2020, transfer to NDK II on M3 line was opened.
