The Chojun Textile and Quilt Art Museum is a textile museum located in Myeongdong, Seoul, South Korea.

The Daeyeonggak Hotel fire was a skyscraper fire in Seoul, South Korea on 25 December 1971, that killed 164 people and injured 63 people. It remains the deadliest hotel fire in history.

HY Tailor or Han Young Tailor (Korean: 한영양복점; RR: Hanyeong yangbokjeom) is a historic tailor shop in Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1932, and specializes in customized suits. In 2012, it was designated a Seoul Future Heritage. It is also a designated Oraegage, a store of historic value. The shop has been visited by both major South Korean politicians, including presidents Kim Dae-jung and Moon Jae-in, and by foreign politicians, including Japanese prime minister Tomiichi Murayama. The store was established by a Park Jeong-jae (박정재). During the 1950–1953 Korean War, the business went on hiatus as Park fled to Busan for safety. Lee Seong-ho (이성호) took over the business in 1964, and moved it to a new location in 1968. In 1995, Lee passed the business onto his son, Lee Han-yeol (이한열). In 2008, the business was jointly acquired by Choi Hong-gap (최홍갑) and Kim Gil-su (김길수). Kim opened another location of the business in 2011, within the Pacific Hotel. Choi's location closed in 2013. In 2017, it was reported that the business was having difficulty obtaining a successor. The store reportedly encountered some difficulty during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keijō Post Office (京城郵便局, Korean: 경성우편국) was a post office building in Keijō (Seoul), Korea, Empire of Japan from 1915 to 1957. The building was inherited by the Seoul Central Post Office after the 1945 liberation of Korea, but significantly damaged during the 1950–1953 Korean War. It was torn down and replaced with a different building around 1957. Seoul Central Post Office still operates on the location of this building today.

Namsan cable car is an aerial tramway in Seoul. Built in 1962, it spans from the Hoehyeon-dong platform (near Myeong-dong) to the Yejang-dong platform near the top of Mt. Namsan and the N Seoul Tower. It is the first commercial cable car service for passengers in Korea.The length of the cable is 605 metres. The altitude difference of 138 metres makes a gradient of 13°. The cabins move at a speed of 3.2 m/s. The transit between platforms takes about three minutes.An elevator, opened in June 2009 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, operates from near the entrance of Namsan Tunnel Three up to the cable car station. It runs along the slope of Namsan with a capacity for 20 passengers to provide better access for the disabled and senior citizens.

Embassy of China in Seoul（Chinese: 中国驻韩国大使馆 ; Korean: 주 대한민국 중화인민공화국대사관）, is the official diplomatic mission of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Korea. The embassy is located at 83-7 2nd St, Myeong-dong District, Seoul. The current ambassador is Xing Haiming. It was originally purchased by Qing merchants and built as the "Qing Merchant Guild Hall". In 1883, it was renamed to the "Qing Mansion". In 1885, when Yuan Shikai went to Korea to negotiate trade matters, it was renamed again to the "Prime Minister's Office".

Keijō Shrine (京城神社, Keijō-jinja, Korean: 경성신사), sometimes Seoul Shrine,: 65 : 139  was a Shinto shrine in Keijō (Seoul), Korea, Empire of Japan. The shrine was established on November 3, 1898, and destroyed on November 17, 1945, several months after the end of colonial rule.The shrine was located to the north of the mountain Namsan.

Myeongdong (Korean: 명동; Hanja: 明洞; lit. 'bright cave' or 'bright tunnel') is a dong in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea between Chungmu-ro, Eulji-ro, and Namdaemun-ro. It covers 0.99km² with a population of 3,409 and is mostly a commercial area, being one of Seoul's main shopping, parade route and tourism districts. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, Myeong-dong was listed as the ninth most expensive shopping street in the world. The area is known for its two historically significant sites, namely the Myeongdong Cathedral and the Myeongdong Nanta Theatre.

Hoehyeon Station is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 4. It is the closest station to the historical gate of Namdaemun, and also serves the major shopping district of Namdaemun Market. This station is located in Namchang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
