Xavier University

Corcoran Field is a 1,600-seat soccer stadium located on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is part of the Xavier University Soccer Complex. It is home to the Xavier University men's and women's soccer teams, who compete in the Big East Conference. The Xavier football team played at XU Soccer Complex until 1972.

Corcoran Stadium was a stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. It hosted the Xavier University Musketeers football team until the school dropped football for financial reasons in 1973. The stadium held 15,000 people when it opened on November 23, 1929. The stadium was finally razed in 1988 after attempts to revive the program in the NCAA's Division III failed. Corcoran Stadium also played host to one NFL game on October 7, 1934 when the Cincinnati Reds (NFL) took on the Chicago Cardinals. The Reds lost the match by a score of 13-0 before 2,500 Reds fans. Corcoran Stadium can be seen in the 1946 movie The Best Years of Our Lives as "Jackson High Football Stadium". A few seconds later Walnut Hills High School with its distinctive dome and football field can be seen along with the downtown Cincinnati skyline (Carew Tower and PNC Tower) in the background.

Schmidt Fieldhouse, formerly known as Xavier University Fieldhouse, is an on-campus arena at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was built in 1927 and opened on March 7, 1928 with a win against archrival Cincinnati. It is named for Walter Schmidt, Class of 1905, a benefactor to then-St. Xavier College who also donated money for Schmidt Hall (formerly the library, now the President's office) on campus. It was the first on-campus arena for the university, and was in use by the men's basketball team from the last game of the 1928 season to 1983, when the team moved to the off-campus Cincinnati Gardens full-time. (The team had played a few big games a year there, as well as Riverfront Coliseum, prior to that.) Since 1983, the team has only returned once to the arena, for a game against Florida International University in January 1988. Schmidt Fieldhouse was also used by the women's basketball team from 1971 until moving to the Cintas Center in 2000. Currently the fieldhouse is the home of the Cincinnati Rollergirls. It is also used for the school's recreational sports program. It has also hosted concerts, including Jimi Hendrix, Rush and Robin Trower, and a speech by President Bill Clinton in 1996.

J. Page Hayden Field is a baseball venue in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. It is home to the Xavier Musketeers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Big East. Since 2006, the Cincinnati Steam of the collegiate summer Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League have also used Hayden Field. The facility was dedicated in 1982 for J. Page Hayden, under whose name a donation for the field's renovation was made. It has a capacity of 500 spectators.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Plant is a historic manufacturing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Constructed in the 1930s in high Streamline Moderne style, it no longer produces beverages, but has been named a historic site.

Mary A. Wolfe House is a registered historic building in Cincinnati, Ohio, listed in the National Register on March 3, 1980.It is one of multiple places associated with architect Samuel Hannaford that were listed on the National Register as part of a 1978 Thematic Resource study.The house was demolished in 2019.

The Cintas Center is a 10,250-seat multi-purpose arena and conference center at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. The arena officially opened in 2000 and was constructed through private donations as part of Xavier University's Century Campaign. It is home to the Xavier University Musketeers basketball and volleyball teams. It is named for the uniform company Cintas.

Walnut Hills High School is a public college-preparatory high school in Cincinnati, Ohio. Operated by Cincinnati Public Schools, it houses grades seven through twelve. The school was established in 1895 and has occupied its current building since 1932.

The Walter Field House is a historic residence located along Reading Road in northern Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Built in the 1880s to be the home of a prosperous local businessman, it features elements of popular late-nineteenth-century architectural styles, and it was produced by one of the city's leading architects. It has been named a historic site. Walter Field was a Cincinnati-area business executive, holding offices such as the presidency of the American Cotton Oil Company and the Cincinnati Ice Manufacturing and Cold Storage Company. He moved into the house soon after its completion in 1884. As the architect for his new residence, Field chose Samuel Hannaford, an English-born architect whose design of the Cincinnati Music Hall had catapulted him into local prestige in the 1870s.: 10  Many of Hannaford's surviving houses in Cincinnati are masonry structures, including several built in the mid-1880s, but the Field House is a frame structure.: 4  Built at the end of Hannaford's Victorian phase,: 3  the Field House includes various Victorian elements, such as the shingles and decorative details characteristic of the Eastlake movement,: 4  but the rest of the house is more heavily in the Shingle Style. Its plan is asymmetrical, featuring components such as a multi-gabled roof, a pavilion with large porch across the front, and an eight-sided gazebo on the southern end of the facade. Decorated with a heavily spindled section in the place of the frieze, the porch and gazebo dominate the appearance of the two-and-a-half-story building. Other components, such as a turret on the northern side, are less easily observed from the street.In 1980, the Field House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its historically significant architecture; it was added to the Register as part of a multiple property submission of dozens of Cincinnati buildings designed by Samuel Hannaford. The building is no longer a house; by the time it was added to the Register, an addition had been constructed,: 4  and the interior had been chopped up to form twenty-four studio apartments.

Avon Fields Golf Course is a historic golf course in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.The course was developed and run by the city until the late 1990s when Kemper Sports Management won the rights to run the city courses. In 2003, Billy Casper Golf took over the contract.Avon Field is located in North Avondale and borders Norwood. The course is the oldest municipal course west of the Alleghenies. City records cannot be found for the original course designer. The Donald Ross archival website lists Avon Fields as one of his designs. Others suggest it was designed by a member of the Spaulding family, later famous for sporting goods. While records show that renowned architect William Langford a revision of the design in 1925. Avon is a par 66 18-hole golf course consisting of 12 par 4s and 6 par 3s and a full service driving range. The front and back nines were switched in the 1960s, when construction of the Norwood Lateral provided the impetus to reduce some of the steepest hills and to rework this vintage course

Evanston is a neighborhood in the city of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 9,158 at the 2010 census.A mostly African-American neighborhood since the 1960s, it is known as "the educating community," and is bordered by the neighborhoods of East Walnut Hills, Hyde Park, North Avondale, and Walnut Hills, as well as the City of Norwood. The community was originally known as the village of Idlewood. It was renamed in 1893 after the city of Evanston, Illinois. Evanston was annexed to the City of Cincinnati on November 19, 1903.

United Jewish Cemetery is a Reform Jewish cemetery, located at 3400 Montgomery Road in the Evanston neighborhood, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The cemetery was opened by members of Bene Israel and B'nai Jeshurum congregations in 1862. The first burial was Issac Fredrick on February 18, 1850, when ground was first consecrated. Over the years, as the two congregations opened or acquired (through merger) other cemeteries, UJC grew to six graveyards. In 2008, UJC became a part of Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. (www.jcemcin.org), which merged almost all of the area's 26 Jewish cemeteries into a single organization.
