Kwai Shing (葵盛) is an area on the hill between Kwai Fong and Tai Wo Hau in the Kwai Chung area of Hong Kong. The area is named after the two major public housing estates on the hill, Kwai Shing East Estate and Kwai Shing West Estate, accommodating the influx of immigrants after World War II. The area hosts some major facilities in Kwai Chung, like Kwai Shing Swimming Pool, South Kwai Chung Jockey Club Polyclinic and Kwai Shing Wet market. It is surrounded by many primary and secondary schools. For example, Lam Wo Memorial School, Buddhist Sin Tak College, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians Siu Ming Catholic Secondary School and so on. There are some public transport stations in Kwai Shing community which makes the place quite convenient. The nearest MTR station is Kwai Hing station and it requires 15 minutes to walk down there.

It was one of the public housing estates detected to have excessive lead contents in its water supply in 2015.

Kwai Chung Sports Ground

Kwai Chung Sports Ground (Chinese: 葵涌運動場) is one of the major sports grounds in the Kwai Tsing District, located in Kwai Fong, Hong Kong. It opened in 1978. It provides facilities for track and field and football. It is the first such ground constructed with tartan track in the district. It has a covered grandstand. It is located alongside Hing Fong Road (興芳路), opposite to the Metroplaza. The sports ground is mainly used for school sports days and Hong Kong Second Division League games.

Metroplaza (Chinese: 新都會廣場) is a shopping centre and office building developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, officially opened in January 1993. It is located in Kwai Fong, Hong Kong and is opposite to Kwai Fong station of MTR. The mall is a shopping hub of adjacent areas of Kwai Fong, Lai King, Tsing Yi and Kwai Chung. While Metroplaza provides spacious shopping environment, another shopping centre Kwai Chung Plaza adjoining offers varieties of small shops. The mall had undergone major renovation from 2014 to November 2017. The mall is adjacent to Kwai Tsing Theatre.

Kwai Shing East Estate (Chinese: 葵盛東邨) is a public housing estate in Kwai Shing, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong located at the east of Kwai Shing West Estate and near MTR Kwai Hing station. It consists of ten residential blocks completed between 1990 and 2003.

Kwai Tsing Theatre

Kwai Tsing Theatre (Chinese: 葵青劇院) is a major performance venue in Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located in Kwai Fong, near Kwai Fong MTR station. It was built by the Regional Council and opened on 18 November 1999 to provide a medium-size venue for performances. It has an 899-seat auditorium, a black box theatre, and various smaller function rooms.

Kwai Chung

Kwai Chung is an urban area within Tsuen Wan New Town in the New Territories of Hong Kong. Together with Tsing Yi Island, it is part of the Kwai Tsing District District of Hong Kong. It is also part of Tsuen Wan New Town. In 2000, it had a population of 287,000. Its area is 9.93 km². Areas within Kwai Chung include: Kwai Fong, Kwai Hing, Lai King, Tai Wo Hau. Kwai Chung is the site of part of the container port of Hong Kong.
