The complex also has two large hotels, the Delta Ottawa City Centre (410 rooms) and Ottawa Marriott Hotel (487 rooms). The buildings are linked by an underground shopping complex. Place de Ville C is the tallest office building in Ottawa. It was once advertised as "Ottawa's glittering answer to the Toronto Dominion Centre and Place Ville Marie".

Lyon is an underground light rail station on the Confederation Line of the O-Train in Ottawa located in the western portion of Ottawa's downtown, specifically at Lyon Street and Queen Street, the latter being the street the line runs under within Ottawa's downtown core.

Ottawa Technical High School, known as Ottawa Tech, was a high school in Ottawa, Canada that specialized in vocational programs. The school opened in 1913 as the second public secondary school in Ottawa, and closed in 1992. It was located on Albert Street in the western part of downtown Ottawa.

Library and Archives Canada (LAC; French: Bibliothèque et Archives Canada) is the federal institution, tasked with acquiring, preserving, and providing accessibility to the documentary heritage of Canada. The national archive and library is the fifth largest library in the world. The LAC reports to the Parliament of Canada through the Minister of Canadian Heritage. The LAC traces its origins to the Dominion Archives, formed in 1872, and the National Library of Canada, formed in 1953. The former was later renamed as the Public Archives of Canada in 1912, and the National Archives of Canada in 1987. In 2004, the National Archives of Canada and the National Library of Canada were merged to form Library and Archives Canada.

Christ Church Cathedral is the Anglican cathedral in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The church is located at 414 Sparks Street in the northwest section of the city's downtown at the western end of Sparks Street on top of a promontory looking down to the Ottawa River.

The Ottawa Marriott Hotel (formerly Holiday Inn Kent Street and Radisson Ottawa Centre Hotel) is a hotel located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Queen Street and Kent Street in downtown Ottawa. It is the 8th tallest building in Ottawa and 10th tallest building in the National Capital Region. The hotel is well known for the revolving room on its roof.The Ottawa Marriott Hotel is located in the city's downtown core and is walking distance from Parliament Hill, Château Laurier, Rideau Canal, Rideau Centre, Shaw Centre, and the National Gallery of Canada. The hotel comprises 489 guestrooms, 26,000 sq ft (2,400 m2) of meeting space, a fitness centre, indoor pool and a children's activity area. During its construction in 1971, the structure was briefly the tallest building in Ottawa until the neighbouring Place de Ville Tower C surpassed it during its construction. The hotel opened in 1972 as a Holiday Inn. It was later owned by Radisson Hotels before being taken over by Marriott Hotels & Resorts. In 2010, the building underwent significant renovations to the main floor. The top floor restaurant, Merlot Rooftop Grill (originally called La Ronde) closed and re-opened as Summit, a private event space. Summit remains the only revolving room in Ottawa, rotating at a rate of approximately one revolution per two hours. The main floor renovations included closing Cafe Toulouse, their street-level restaurant and re-opening as "spin" Kitchen & Bar.

The Garden of the Provinces and Territories (French: Jardins des provinces et des territoires) is a 4-acre (1.6 ha) site along Confederation Boulevard in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada's capital city. It is bounded by the Sparks Street escarpment on the south, Wellington Street on the west and north, and Bay Street to the east between Christ Church Cathedral and the Library and Archives Canada. It was officially opened on September 25, 1962, as a western gateway to the Parliament Buildings. The park was renamed from "Garden of the Provinces" on October 6, 2005 to recognize and include Canada's three territories. Scott Brison, then the Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada, officially renamed the park. In December 2015, the federal government requested that the National Capital Commission approve the garden as the site of the proposed Memorial to the Victims of Communism rather than its previously approved site, a plot of land by the Supreme Court of Canada building.
