The Department of Justice (French: Ministère de la Justice) is a department of the Government of Canada that represents the Canadian government in legal matters. The Department of Justice works to ensure that Canada's justice system is as fair, accessible and efficient as possible. The department helps the federal government to develop policy and to draft and reform laws as needed. At the same time, it acts as the government's legal adviser, providing legal counsel and support, and representing the Government of Canada in court. The department's responsibilities reflect the double role of the Minister of Justice, who is also by law the Attorney General of Canada: in general terms, the Minister is concerned with the administration of justice, including policy in such areas as criminal law, family law, human rights law, and Aboriginal justice; the Attorney General is the chief law officer of the Crown, responsible for conducting all litigation for the federal government. While the role of the Minister of Justice has existed since 1867, the department was not created until 1868. The headquarters of the Department of Justice is located in Ottawa at St. Andrew's Tower (275 Sparks Street), a modern low rise office tower built in 1987. The 52nd and current Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada is David Lametti.

Lyon is an underground light rail station on the Confederation Line of the O-Train in Ottawa located in the western portion of Ottawa's downtown, specifically at Lyon Street and Queen Street, the latter being the street the line runs under within Ottawa's downtown core.

Place de Ville is a complex of office towers in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It consists of four office buildings: Place de Ville A, B, and C; and the 'Podium' building, which houses a shuttered "piggy-back" cinema enveloped with functional office space. The complex also has two large hotels, the Delta Ottawa City Centre (410 rooms) and Ottawa Marriott Hotel (487 rooms). The buildings are linked by an underground shopping complex. Place de Ville C is the tallest office building in Ottawa. It was once advertised as "Ottawa's glittering answer to the Toronto Dominion Centre and Place Ville Marie".

The Embassy of Iceland in Ottawa, Ontario provides Icelandic diplomatic representation in Canada. The embassy is also responsible for Iceland's relations with Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, Panama, Peru, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Venezuela. The Consulate General in Winnipeg, Manitoba, falls within the Embassy's jurisdiction. The Icelandic Trade Representative in New York serves as Trade Representative to Canada as well.The embassy was established in May 2001 and is located on the seventh floor of Constitution Square Tower 1, an office building in the city's downtown. The current ambassador is Hlynur Guðjónsson.

The C.D. Howe Building (French: Édifice C.D.-Howe) is an office tower in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, that is the home of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, the Office of the Auditor General and other smaller tenants. It was built by Olympia and York. The federal government sold the land to O&Y for a dollar and signed an agreement to lease the final building for a set rate until 2012. The eleven-story building was opened in 1978.

The Bank of Canada (BoC; French: Banque du Canada) is a Crown corporation and Canada's central bank. Chartered in 1934 under the Bank of Canada Act, it is responsible for formulating Canada's monetary policy, and for the promotion of a safe and sound financial system within Canada. The Bank of Canada is the sole issuing authority of Canadian banknotes, provides banking services and money management for the government, and loans money to Canadian financial institutions. The contract to produce the banknotes has been held by the Canadian Bank Note Company since 1935. The Bank of Canada headquarters are located at the Bank of Canada Building, 234 Wellington Street in Ottawa, Ontario. The building also used to house the Bank of Canada Museum, which opened in December 1980 and temporarily closed in 2013. As of July 2017, the museum is now located at 30 Bank Street, Ottawa, Ontario, but is connected to the main buildings through the Bank of Canada's underground meeting rooms.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ottawa is the Netherlands's primary diplomatic mission in Canada. It is located in Constitution Square Tower II in Ottawa. The embassy consists of a political, economic and a consular section as well as a public diplomacy & cultural department. There is also a military attaché, who falls under the Ministry of Defense and can therefore operate more independently. Most staff is locally engaged. The embassy connects with Canadians via several events and activities. Embassy staff organizes events to strengthen economic ties with Canada and to increase trade. The political department initiates and cooperates in activities that underline that Canada and the Netherlands think alike on topics such as democratic values, gay rights, development aid, end-of-life decisions and sustainability. The embassy participates every year in a number of cultural events such as the Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa, Dutch heritage month in Ontario, the EU Film Festival in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, Remembrance Day ceremonies across Canada and the Winter Celebration on the grounds of Rideau Hall. The embassy participates in Study & Go Abroad fairs in Canada and works on increasing academic partnerships between Canadian and Dutch universities and higher education schools. The consular section of the embassy is open three days per week, but can only be visited by appointment via an online booking system.The current ambassador of the Netherlands to Canada is Ines Coppoolse.The Netherlands operates Consulate General offices in Toronto and Vancouver. There are Canadian Honorary Consuls appointed in Calgary, AB, Edmonton, AB, Saskatoon, SK, Winnipeg, MB, Montreal, QC, Quebec City, QC, Fredericton, NB and in Halifax, NS. The Dutch Diplomatic Missions in Canada maintain a joint Facebook page to make an impact and to inform Canadians about the Netherlands: who they are and what they do, announcing activities as well as sharing behind the scenes images and stories. The Bank of Canada Building is the head office of the Bank of Canada. It is located at 234 Wellington Street in Ottawa, Ontario.

Constitution Square is a three-tower office complex, located in downtown Ottawa, Ontario at 340, 350 and 360 Albert Street. It is home to a variety of businesses, organizations and embassies. The three towers are owned and operated by global real estate investor, developer and owner Oxford Properties Group. The 1,058,046 square foot complex, located in the heart of the capital city's downtown core, is close to Ottawa's Parliament Hill and key federal buildings, and is a neighbour to the city's prominent financial and high tech industries. It is home of the Liberal Party of Canada. The first tower comprises 18 floors, and was completed in 1986, while tower two was completed in 1992 with 21 floors. In July 2005, it was announced that a third tower with 19 floors would be added to the complex, and tower three opened less than two years later, within the original budget.The building has underground parking, a fitness center and 24-hour security.

It is part of the Transportation, Infrastructure and Communities (TIC) portfolio. The current Minister of Transport is Omar Alghabra. Transport Canada is headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario.

CJLL-FM is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts multilingual community programming at 97.9 FM in Ottawa, Ontario, with studios located on Wellington Street West in Ottawa, while its transmitter is located in downtown Ottawa. Although CJLL has a very different call sign than its Toronto sibling stations CHIN and CHIN-FM, it shares their branding as CHIN Ottawa.
