Dromiskin Monastery

Dromiskin (historically Druminisklin, from Irish: Droim Ineasclainn) is a village and townland in County Louth, Ireland. It is situated 10 km south of Dundalk, about 1 km inland from the Irish coast.

St Joseph's GFC is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club that fields gaelic football teams in competitions organised by Louth GAA. It is based in the Louth village of Dromiskin, near the county town of Dundalk. As of 2023, the club competes in the Louth Senior Championship and Division 2 of the county football Leagues.

Blackrock Lifeboat Station is a former Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station, located in the village of Blackrock, on the south side of Dundalk Bay, in County Louth, Ireland. A lifeboat was first stationed here by the RNLI in 1859 following the Mary Stoddard disaster. It is one of two stations that have been home to the 'Dundalk lifeboat', the other being at Giles Quay. The Blackrock Lifeboat Station was closed in 1935.

Haggardstown (Irish: Baile Hagaird) is a townland and civil parish located in the barony of Upper Dundalk, on the southern outskirts of Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The civil parish of Haggardstown lies on the shore of Dundalk Bay, north of the estuary of the River Fane, and includes the village of Blackrock and Dundalk Golf Club.

Linn Duachaill (Irish pronunciation: [ˌl̠ʲiːn̠ʲ ˈd̪ˠuəxəl̠ʲ]; "Duachall's pool") is the name of a Viking longphort near the village of Annagassan, County Louth, Ireland. The settlement was built in 841 CE, the same time as the settlement of Dubh Linn, or Dublin. In contrast to Dublin, the settlement was abandoned. It has been argued that possibly because of changing tidal patterns, it lacked continuous access to the sea. The tides would have made access to the water difficult for a number of hours per day.

Blackrock (Irish: Na Creagacha Dubha, meaning 'the black rocks') is a seaside village just to the south of Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The village is in the townland of Haggardstown, in the Barony of Upper Dundalk, and part of the Dundalk metropolitan area. The population of the village is between 3,000 and 5,000.
