Haggardstown

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT; Irish: Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Dhún Dealgan) is an institute of technology, located in Dundalk, Ireland. Established as the Dundalk Regional Technical College, students were first enrolled in the college in 1971 and it was later re-defined as an institute of technology in January 1998. As of 2019, the institute has 4,509 students and is equipped with 497 full-time staff.

Dundalk Ice Dome was the first permanent ice arena in Ireland, located in Dundalk Retail Park, Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The Ice Dome aimed to become the centre of excellence for ice hockey in Ireland. It was home to the Irish national ice hockey squad and local team the Dundalk Bulls. For 2007 and 2008, the venue was used as a secondary venue by the Belfast Giants. The Ice Dome was closed in early May 2010 with plans to open under new management by Planet Ice; however, this has yet to happen and the rink remained closed.

Dundalk Young Irelands GFC is a GAA club from Dundalk, County Louth, which fields Gaelic football teams in competitions organised by the Louth county board. The club was formed in the same year as the Gaelic Athletic Association, making it the oldest club in Louth and one of the oldest in Ireland.

Na Piarsaigh/Blackrock CLG is a GAA club from Dundalk, County Louth, which fields Gaelic football, Hurling and Camogie teams in competitions organised by Louth GAA. Until the establishment of Omeath's Cúchulainn Gaels in 2005, Na Piarsaigh was the youngest Gaelic football club in Louth.

Blackrock (Irish: Na Creagacha Dubha, meaning 'the black rocks') is a seaside village just to the south of Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The village is in the townland of Haggardstown, in the Barony of Upper Dundalk, and part of the Dundalk metropolitan area. The population of the village is between 3,000 and 5,000.

Blackrock Lifeboat Station is a former Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) station, located in the village of Blackrock, on the south side of Dundalk Bay, in County Louth, Ireland. A lifeboat was first stationed here by the RNLI in 1859 following the Mary Stoddard disaster. It is one of two stations that have been home to the 'Dundalk lifeboat', the other being at Giles Quay. The Blackrock Lifeboat Station was closed in 1935.

Aiken Barracks (Irish: Dún Mhic Aogáin) is an army barracks located in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. The barracks was originally known as Dundalk Barracks and was renamed after Frank Aiken, a commander of the Irish Republican Army and an Irish politician. It is the current Headquarters of the 27 Infantry Battalion of the Irish Army.

The Dundalk Distillery was an Irish whiskey distillery that operated in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland between 1708 and 1926. It is thought to have been one of the old registered distilleries in Ireland. Two of the distillery buildings, the grain store and maltings, still exist and now house the County Museum and Dundalk Library.The distillery was used as a navigation point by seamen due to its two large chimney stacks, one of which was the largest in Ireland when it was built in 1817.
