St. Vincent's Church, Helsingør

Helsingør ( HEL-sing-UR, Danish: [helse̝ŋˈøɐ̯ˀ]; Swedish: Helsingör), classically known in English as Elsinore ( EL-sin-or, -⁠OR), is a city in eastern Denmark. Helsingør Municipality had a population of 63,399 on 1 January 2023. Helsingør and Helsingborg in Sweden together form the northern reaches of the Øresund Region, centered on Copenhagen and Malmö. The HH Ferry route connects Helsingør with Helsingborg, 4 km (2.5 miles) across the Øresund. Its castle Kronborg was used by William Shakespeare as the setting for his play Hamlet.

Helsingør Cemetery (Danish: Helsingør Kirkegård) is a cemetery in Helsingør, Denmark. It serves the parishes of St. Olai, St. Mary, Vestervang and Sthen. Founded in the second half of the 16th century, it was originally used as a burial ground for the poor but became the city principal cemetery in the 1820. It is bordered by Nygade, I.L. Tvedes Vej and Møllebakken.

Helsingør Municipality (a variant English name: Elsinore Municipality; Danish: Helsingør Kommune), is a municipality in the Capital Region on the northeast coast of the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 121.6 km2, and has a total population of 63,399 (1. January 2023). Its mayor as of 1 January 2014 is Benedikte Kiær, a member of the Conservative political party.

Grønnehave station is a railway station serving the northern part of the city of Helsingør, Denmark, as well as the nearby Kronborg Castle, Danish Maritime Museum, Kulturværftet cultural centre and the Øresundsakvariet public aquarium. The station is located on the Hornbæk Line from Helsingør to Gilleleje. The train services are currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services between Helsingør station and Gilleleje station.

The Dominican Priory, Helsingør, also known as the Black Friars' Priory, Helsingør, was a house of Dominican friars in Helsingør, Denmark, established in 1441. It was confiscated by the Crown during the Reformation, together with all other property of the Catholic Church.

The Iver Pedersen House (Danish: Iver Pedersens Gård) is one of the oldest half-timbered buildings in Helsingør, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1919.

The Carmelite Priory, Helsingør, or Priory of Our Lady, Helsingør (Vor Frue Kloster), was a house of Carmelite friars in Helsingør, Zealand, Denmark, established in 1430. It is the finest example of a complete monastic complex surviving in Denmark, and one of the best in all of Scandinavia.

The Spæth House is a Rococo-style mansion in Helsingør, Denmark. It was built by the first sugar manugacfurer in Helsingør and served both as residence and warehouse. The building is listed and now houses a public music school for local youth.

The Buxtehude House is a historic property on Sankt Anna Gade in the historic centre of Elsinore, Denmark. It is named after the composer Dieterich Buxtehude who lived in the building.

Sanct Olaigade 55 (often abbreviated Sct. Olai Gade 55; sometimes spelled Sankt Olai Gade 55) is a mid 19th-century apartment building situated at the corner of Sanct Olaigade and Sophie Brahes Gade in central Helsingør, Denmark. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945.

The Diocese of Helsingør (Danish: Helsingør Stift) is a diocese within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Denmark. It comprises the Danish Capital Region except for the core municipalities of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Tårnby and Dragør. Disjoined from the Diocese of Copenhagen on 1 January 1961, it is the most recently established of the 10 dioceses within the Danish state church. The main church is Saint Olaf's Church in Helsingør.The current bishop is Peter Birch who succeeded Lise-Lotte Rebel on 1 April 2021.

Saint Olaf's Church (Danish: Sankt Olai Kirke) is the cathedral church of Helsingør in the north of Zealand, Denmark. With a history going back to around 1200, the present building was completed in 1559. In 1961, the church was given the status of cathedral in connection with the establishment of the Diocese of Helsingør.
