Saltese Flats

The Saltese Uplands Conservation Area is a 522 acre conservation area in Spokane County in the U.S. state of Washington. The conservation area covers the Saltese Uplands, which are situated on the western slope of the Holiday Hills, immediately to the east of the adjacent Saltese Flats. The area is open to the public and contains 7 miles (11 km) of trails.

The Holiday Hills are a series of mostly treeless, loam hills in Spokane County, Washington, in the foothills of the Selkirk Range. The portion of the hills immediately to the east of the adjacent Saltese Flats are known as the Saltese Uplands.

Ridgeline High School (RHS), often referred to as simply Ridgeline, is a comprehensive public high school for grades nine through twelve in Liberty Lake, Washington, United States. Liberty Lake is a city in Spokane County, Washington, United States located adjacent to the eponymous lake. Located just over a mile (about 2 km) west of the Washington–Idaho border, Liberty Lake is both a suburb of Spokane, Washington and a bedroom community to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The population was 12,003 at the 2020 census.Liberty Lake was named after a pioneer who settled near the lake, Etienne Edward Laliberte, later he changed his name to Steve Liberty. The town was previously called Arturdee.

Liberty Lake is a lake in Spokane County in the U.S. state of Washington. The lake is located about 800 feet (240 m) south of the eponymous city, and is a popular fishing spot. The lake is part of the Spokane Valley–Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. Besides the aquifer, the only outflow is a small unnamed stream that ends at a small ephemeral pond a little over 1 mile (1.9 km) to the North.

Saltese Creek is an approximately 9 mi (14 km) long stream in Spokane County, Washington, United States. Originally only 3.5 miles (5.6 km), the lower 5.5 miles (8.9 km) of the stream, along with around 10 mi (16 km) of drainage canals were dug to drain Saltese Lake. The stream now functions as one of two primary inflows (the other being Quinnamose Creek), as well as the primary outflow for the Saltese Flats (the residual wetlands of the drained lake). The stream has its headwaters near the summit of Mica Peak and terminates at Shelley Lake, which was created as a result of draining Saltese Lake.

Shelley Lake is a small lake located entirely in the city of Spokane Valley, in the U.S. state of Washington. The lake is surrounded on three sides by the 248 lot gated community of Shelley Lake Estates. The lake is kept full by Saltese Creek, which is supplied by drainage canals from the Saltese Flats. Although an open lake, there are no above-ground outflows.

Central Valley School District No. 356 is a K–12 public school district located in Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake, Washington. Over 14,100 students attend one of the twenty-one schools within the district.

Central Valley High School, often referred to as "CV", is a high school located in Spokane Valley, Washington. Central Valley is one of the three high schools in Central Valley School District #356.

Mica Peak Air Force Station (ADC ID: SM-151, NORAD ID: Z-141) is a closed United States Air Force General Surveillance Radar station. It is located atop Mica Peak, 6.3 miles (10.1 km) east-northeast of Mica, Washington. It was closed in 1975 by the Air Force, and turned over to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Today the site is part of the Joint Surveillance System (JSS), designated by NORAD as Western Air Defense Sector (WADS) Ground Equipment Facility J-79.

KDRK-FM (93.7 FM, "The Mountain") is a country music radio station serving the Spokane, Washington area. The station broadcasts at 93.7 MHz with an effective radiated power of 64,000 watts. It is owned by Stephens Media Group, through licensee SMG-Spokane, LLC. KDRK is a Contemporary Country station known as "93.7 The Mountain" and plays today's hit country songs and mixes in familiar country music from the past. It is also carried on translator K296BJ, 107.1 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to serve Boundary County, as the area is very mountainous and the main signal is blocked. KDRK-FM was formerly known as "Cat Country 94" and "93.7 The Cat". It initially was started in December 1965 as KDNC-FM, the sister station to KDNC 1440 AM.It is one of seven local Spokane FM radio stations heard across Canada to subscribers of the Shaw Direct satellite TV service.On October 11, 2011 at 6 AM, after playing "Go Rest High on That Mountain" by Vince Gill, the station dropped "The Cat" and began stunting with the bell from "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC, a ticking clock, an announcer saying "KDRK Spokane, Mission Control T-minus _ minutes", and clips of songs from Schoolhouse Rock and Animaniacs. At 11 AM, the station relaunched their country format as "93.7 The Mountain". The first song as The Mountain was "How Do You Like Me Now?!" by Toby Keith. On September 30, 2019, Stephens Media Group completed its acquisition of the Mapleton Communications properties.
