Hedayat Mosque

Sharifi-ha House is a modular home in Tehran, Iran. It was built in 2013 and has three wooden boxes which are rooms; the boxes can be rotated laterally. The resulting 90 degree rotation extends the living space and creates a large terrace.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran was attacked on 27 January 2023, at around 08:00 a.m. local time. The perpetrator passed by the guard post with a Kalashnikov rifle and opened fire inside the embassy, while its staff tried to neutralize him. The head of the embassy's security service, Orkhan Asgarov, was killed in the attack, while two guards were injured. Shortly after, a suspect was detained by Iranian police. The State Security Service of Azerbaijan opened a criminal investigation of the attack. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev strongly condemned the attack. The Azerbaijani side regarded the incident as a "terrorist act". The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced evacuation of the embassy personnel in Tehran. On 29 January Azerbaijan evacuated most of the embassy staff from Tehran and suspended the embassy's operation. Iranian officials did not consider the attack to be politically motivated. Iran's law enforcement agencies stated that the attack was committed on personal grounds, and that the perpetrator came to the scene with two young children, though CCTV footage released from the embassy shows that he was alone during the attack.

Borj-e Sefid (Persian: برج سفید) is a building located in Pasdaran district in Tehran, Iran. The Borj-e Sefid (which translates to "White Tower" in English) is a high-rise building built along Pasdaran Ave, within which is contained a shopping center as well as many offices. The building has cemented Pasdaran's status as an upscale suburb of Tehran, raising the area's profile and spurring a series of developments in the surrounding areas. It is home to the revolving restaurant of Borj-e Sefid at the top floor of the building. Although the building is a center of business and commerce and is part of a trend towards increasing urbanity in the district (mainly witnessed along the district's northern edge near Farmanieh), the majority of the area's housing remains relatively suburban in nature, consisting mostly of mansions and townhomes or duplexes.

Pasdaran (Persian: پاسداران) is a neighborhood of northern Tehran centered on Pasdaran Avenue. This avenue connects Niavaran avenue (from the north) to Shariati avenue (in the south). It is about 8–9 km long and is a major commercial thoroughfare for northern Tehran together with northern parts of two other long streets: Valiasr Street and Shariati Street. Pasdaran in Persian means "guardians". Prior to 1979 Revolution this neighborhood was known as Saltanat Abad (سلطنت آباد), which means "built by the monarchy", and refers to the palace of the Shah (Mohammad Reza Pahlavi), situated at the northernmost tip of this street. Pasdaran Ave., along with the network of streets that extend out from it, make up the Pasdaran Neighborhood of Tehran, which includes areas like Farmaniye, Darrous, Rostam Abad, Saltanat Abad, Zarrabkhaneh, Mehran, Ekhtiyariyeh, Ehteshamiyeh, Doulat, Dibaji, and Chizar. Although business and commerce is part of a trend towards increasing urbanity in the district (mainly witnessed along the district's northern edge near Farmaniye), the majority of the area's housing remains relatively suburban in nature, consisting mostly of mansions (often stereotypically Persian palaces) and townhomes or duplexes.

Tehran War Cemetery is a war cemetery located in Gholhak Garden in the Iranian city of Tehran and located within the British Embassy residential compound and is where over 500 British and Commonwealth soldiers who perished in the First and Second World Wars are buried. The site includes the Tehran Memorial, dedicated to those who have no known grave or whose grave is unmaintained. The cemetery is managed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The cemetery also has markers for those who died in Persia and Russia without graves.

Gholhak Garden (alternatively Qolhak Garden or Gulhak Garden; Persian: باغ قلهک) is a British overseas diplomatic compound in the northern Tehran neighborhood of Gholhak in Iran, about 3 miles (4.8 km) from the centre of Tehran. The sprawling tree-lined site, bordered by high walls, measures 200,000 square metres (49 acres) and houses British diplomats and their families. The compound is also home to the Tehran War Cemetery. The site has been at the centre of diplomatic controversy between Britain and Iran over ownership and management of the grounds.

The British School of Tehran (BST) was a British international school in Tehran, Iran. The British and Dutch embassies in Tehran jointly established the school in 2000. During its life, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Iran) only permitted non-Iranian students to attend; students came from 32 countries as of 2010. Admissions priority was given to British and Dutch children.It closed indefinitely after the 2011 attack on the British Embassy in Iran. The school board of trustees voted to have the school disestablished, with the end date being 31 December 2011. The German Embassy School Tehran (DBST) acquired the assets of the BST and established an international section in the former BST buildings. At the end of the school's life it had 117 students.

Gholhak Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 1. It is located in Shariati Street in Gholhak neighborhood. The neighboring stations are Shariati and Shahid Sadr. It was opened on 19 May 2009.

Qeytarieh (also spelled Gheytarieh) is an affluent neighbourhood in northern Tehran, located within the larger Shemiran district. Gheytarieh has about 150,000 residents. Qeytarieh is famous for a large park with the same name. Qeytarieh Park was once the home of a Qajar dynasty minister, Amir Kabir. Qeytarie is known for its many restaurants, including fast food, found along Qeytarieh Street. Gheytarieh has a rather younger population, because of the luxury and new apartments many new couples and single people move to this area. Gheytarieh is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Tehran alongside Zaferanieh and Elahieh. Qeytarieh's neighbouring districts are Niavaran, Kamranieh, Farmanieh, Elahieh and Tajrish. The reason for the formation of this neighborhood, like most of others neighborhoods in Shemiranat , can be considered as agriculture and horticulture. Most of the people who settled the neighborhood came here from the city of Boroujerd from the Lorestan Province

Cinema Farhang (Persian: سینما فرهنگ) is the most famous movie theater in Tehran and also in Iran. It is one of the official theaters that plays foreign films in Tehran. It is located in the north of Tehran.

École Française de Téhéran (EFT) is a French international school located in Tehran, Iran. It is at Gholhak Garden, the British embassy residential complex, in the Gholhak area.It serves from the maternelle (preschool) level, up to the lycée (senior high school) level. As of 2011 it had 256 students, including foreigners and Iranians. The school is on the property of the British Embassy.It closed after the 2011 attack on the British Embassy in Iran; the attack occurred while the school was in session.However, the school has since reopened

Doctor Shariati Metro Station is a station in Tehran Metro Line 1. It is located in Shariati Street. It is between Mirdamad Metro Station and Gholhak Metro Station. It was opened on 19 May 2009.
