The Terre Haute House was a historic hotel in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. Despite numerous efforts to preserve it, the building was demolished and replaced by the Hilton Garden Inn which opened in 2007.

The Terre Haute Post Office and Federal Building is a historic structure in Terre Haute, Indiana. The first post office and federal building at this site opened in 1887. When this building was demolished in 1933, work began on the current structure. (The columns and pediment from the first post office now make up part of the Chauncey Rose Memorial in Terre Haute's Fairbanks Park.) The current building was funded as Public Work Project under the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt. The three-story Art Deco-style post office was built 1934 to the designs of Terre Haute–based architects Miller & Yeager for the cost of around $450,000. Completed on December 1, 1934, the building opened to the public in 1935. It originally was home to the post office, the Social Security Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service and the federal court. The federal courtroom features a mural by Frederick Webb Ross titled "The Signing of the Magna Carta.": Part 1, p. 35 The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. In 2007, the GSA turned over the facility to Indiana State; following a $30-million dollar, multi-year renovation; the building became the new home of the Indiana State University Scott College of Business. The first classes were held during the Fall 2012 semester.

The Indiana Theatre is a historic theater in Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1997 and is located in the Wabash Avenue-East Historic District. It opened on January 28, 1922. The theatre was built by Terre Haute resident T. W. Barhydt and was designed by John Eberson. Eberson, who later developed the atmospheric theater style of movie palace, first experimented with atmospheric design elements at the theatre. Eberson stated, "Into this Indiana Theatre I have put my very best efforts and endeavors in the art of designing a modern theatre such as I have often pictured as what I would do were I given a free hand." Through this quote Eberson suggests that the Indiana Theatre embodies the raw beginning of his experiment with a "dream" theater that marked the beginning shift to his atmospheric style.: Part 1, p. 14–15 Throughout its history, the theatre has hosted a wide range of events that have included vaudeville, cinema, performing arts and community celebrations of all types. Long time employees remember nostalgic entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Jack Burns, and the Marx Brothers Road Shows at the Indiana Theater. The Indiana Theatre was chosen as the site for the world premiere screening of Disney's McFarland, USA on November 20, 2014.Through restoration efforts which began in May 2013, the Indiana Theatre's heritage has been preserved and the Indiana has been reborn as a 1,600 seat full service event center which can host a wide range of community gatherings that include live entertainment, performing arts, cinema, wedding events, and fundraisers.

The Hippodrome Theatre or Wabash Theatre is a historic theater in Terre Haute, Indiana, USA. Theater manager Theodore W. Barhydt decided to build a theater in the area and enlisted the help of noted theater architect John Eberson to design the building. The German Renaissance structure officially opened on February 15, 1915, with a grand opening celebration attended by local dignitaries such as Indiana governor Samuel M. Ralston and vaudeville moguls like Joseph M. Finn, Marcus Heiman, and Asher Levy.: Part 1, p. 16 The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Building at 810 Wabash Avenue is a historic commercial building located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built about 1870, and is a two-story, rectangular, Italianate style brick building. It features an elaborate cast iron storefront on the first story and round arched windows on the second.: Part 1, p. 25 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Terminal Arcade, located on Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana, is a Beaux-Arts building on the National Register of Historic Places since June 30, 1983. The building originally served as the Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Eastern Traction Company interurban station, opening in 1911. It was built on the grounds of the former J. S. Evans and Sons, a bicycle shop. The end of the interurban age came on January 11, 1940, when the track between Terre Haute and Indianapolis was closed, largely the result of automobiles making interurbans superfluous. From December 1, 1949, until 1972 the Arcade served as the city's union bus station.The Beaux-Arts building is made of terra cotta and brick. It has identical facades on its north and south sides, constructed of limestone and with granite bases. Various designs carved upon the building include lions, garlands, and fruits. The building itself was designed by Daniel H. Burnham of Chicago; the facades were the work of Fred Edler and J. W. Quayle.: Part 1, p. 26–27 The other property in Terre Haute built by the Terre Haute, Indianapolis, and Eastern Traction Company was a power house at the corner of Mulberry and North Water. It was built in 1907 to power the interurbans the Terminal Arcade served, and the 457 miles of track the interurban ran upon. The 1907 lease, under the name of the Terre Haute Traction & Light Company, called for 999 years; interurbans were no more by 1940.There have been threats to the Terminal Arcade. The mayor of Terre Haute Pete Chalos proposed condemning the building. In 2004, during talks for building a new federal building in Terre Haute, one of the proposals would have included razing the Terminal Arcade and placing the new building on its site.As of August 2022, a new pub is scheduled to operate in the space, it's scheduled to open by late January 2023.

House at 823 Ohio Street is a historic home located at Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1880, and is a two-story, rectangular brick dwelling with Italianate and Queen Anne style design elements. It features segmental arched windows and a rounded arch window with a wood sunburst surround.: Part 1, p. 18 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Chamber of Commerce Building is a historic commercial building located in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana, United States. It was built in 1925, and is a two-story, rectangular, Tudor Revival-style brown brick building. It features limestone detailing, a green tile facade roof, and an arcade of Tudor arches.: Part 1, p. 28 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and was delisted in 2019.

The Hulman Center is a 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, United States.

First Congregational Church is an historic Congregational church located at 630 Ohio Street in Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. It was built in 1902-1903 and is the second building to house the congregation founded in December 1834. It is a neo-Gothic-style church constructed of buff-colored brick with limestone trim and opalescent glass windows.: Part 1, p. 20 FCC was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Vigo County Public Library is funded public library that serves the people living in Terre Haute and other communities Vigo County, Indiana. It has been in operation since 1882, when the existing library was purchased by local school trustees from the Terre Haute Library Association. Prior to this, there were multiple libraries in the Terre Haute area that were operated by various townships and private organizations. When a state law in 1881 connected the establishment of free public libraries to common schools in cities with more than ten thousand residents, the Terre Haute Board of School Trustees organized the library in its current form. In 1906, the library was moved to a new building and named the Emeline Fairbanks Memorial Library. A West Branch of the library was opened in 1961. The current main branch held its grand opening in 1979. Free cards there are to those who live, own property, or go to school or college in Vigo County. In addition to a wide-ranging collection of books, newspapers, and magazines, materials for local history and genealogy, reference help, public computers, children's story times, and other typical public library services, the library offers interlibrary loan and downloadable audiobooks, eBooks, videos, and music. The library also hosts meetings with state senators and representatives during the legislative session, political debates during election seasons, and other similar community meetings.

The Terre Haute Masonic Temple in Terre Haute, Indiana is a Classical Revival-style Masonic building that ground was broken for in 1915, cornerstone was laid in 1916, and opened in 1917. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior in 1995. The structure was commissioned by the Terre Haute Masonic Temple Association which was included one director from each of the following bodies that funded the building of the temple: Social Lodge No. 86 F&AM, Humboldt Lodge No. 42 F&AM, Terre Haute Lodge #19 F&AM, Euclid Lodge No. 573 F&AM, Terre Haute Chapter No. 11 R.A.M., Terre Haute Council No. 8 R. & S.M., Terre Haute Commandery No. 16 K.T. The Temple was built by A.W. Stoolman with Archie H. Hubbard serving as architect.The Terre Haute Masonic Temple is currently utilized by Social Lodge No. 86 F&AM, Terre Haute Lodge #19 F&AM, Humboldt Lodge No. 42 F&AM, Terre Haute Chapter No. 11 R.A.M., Terre Haute Council No. 8 R. & S.M., Terre Haute Commandery No. 16 K.T., Job's Daughters Bethel No. 2, Terre Haute Chapter No. 43 Order of the Eastern Star, Terre Haute Order of Amaranth. The building was previously used by Euclid No. 573 F&AM, The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and The Order of Demolay. The governing body of the building that is responsible for all modifications and maintenance is the Terre Haute Masonic Temple Association which still includes six of the original seven bodies that erected the structure (Euclid No. 573 is no longer in existence). The board is composed of a President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer, and three other members. The building is a total of four stories tall with an additional full basement. The foundation of the building was initially constructed to support the weight of a twelve-story building. The first floor is the dedicated public floor and contains the ballroom, library, parlor, board room, office, card room, and ladies and gentleman's cloak rooms and rest rooms. The second floor is dedicated to the Blue Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star and houses three lodge rooms, rest rooms and lounge area. The third floor is dedicated to the three bodies of the York Rite: The Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Council of Royal & Secret Masters, and Commandery of Knights Templar. The fourth floor contains storage and a choir and organ loft.
