Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery is a county-maintained fish hatchery in the town of Elbridge, New York. The fish hatchery is located along New York State Route 321, at the intersection with former New York State Route 368 (now County Route 107). The location is maintained by Onondaga County's Parks commission, running full-time around the year with certain hours. Opened in 1938, it is only one of four county-maintained fish hatcheries in the state of New York at the current time. The fish hatchery produces over 70,000 trout annually. The staff of the hatchery, along with other volunteers, help fund retail sales and local fish stores with $4 million annually.

Martisco station, also known as Martisco Station Railway Museum, is a railroad station in Martisco, Onondaga County, New York. It was built in 1870 by the Auburn and Syracuse Railroad, and is a two-story, Italianate style brick building. Decorative brackets support an unusually long overhang of the roof. The line and station were eventually acquired by the New York Central Railroad. The station is owned by the Central New York Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, and is open as a museum during limited hours in the summer. Adjacent to the station is a contributing Pennsylvania Railroad dining car.: 3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007 as Martisco Station.

Martisco is a hamlet in Marcellus, New York. It is the location of the Martisco Station, a historic railway station, and it is the location of the former Martisco bean company. The Martisco Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. Martisco was previously named "Marcellus Junction" and also "Martisco Junction". The Martisco Station was built in 1870 for the New York Central Railroad. After a century, the building was abandoned and in poor shape, the building was set to be demolished in 1964 but was stopped by the Central New York Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society who purchased the building and repaired it. Today the building is a museum that is open to the public. The hamlet of Martisco is a very historic location.

Shepard Settlement Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Shepard Settlement, Onondaga County, New York. It was established about 1823, and remains an active burial ground containing approximately 500 burials. It is notable for including the graves of at least 30 veterans of all wars from the Revolutionary War to World War II. The gravestones are representative of typical funerary art of the mid-19th century.: 3, 6  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Marcellus High School is a public high school in Onondaga County, New York, United States. It is located in Marcellus, New York on the same campus as Marcellus Central School District's middle and elementary schools. Approximately 700 students attend the high school with over 65 teachers and staff members.

Memphis is a hamlet in the Town of Van Buren, west of Syracuse in Onondaga County, New York, United States. Because of its location on the southern town line of Van Buren, above the Towns of Elbridge and Camillus, the Memphis area can also be considered to extend into Elbridge and Camillus. A section of Memphis lies on Cross Lake and Seneca River. In the early 1800s, the hamlet was named "Canton". Sometime after the 1850s, the name was changed to the current "Memphis", presumably because Canton was already established. Now the name "Canton" refers to a small community between Memphis and Camillus. From 1825 to 1918, The Erie Canal ran through the north side of Memphis. The First Baptist Church of Memphis was also located in Memphis from 1815 to 2013.The Plainville Turkey Farm used to be in Memphis, which included a restaurant, which closed in February 2010. The small community is spread over a wide area due to the primary use of land for farming. Well known farms include a portion of Hourigan's Farms, the Hooper Farm, and a portion of Blumer's Farms. There is also an area known by locals as "The Kingdom," named for Kingdom Road. The road follows the east side of the Seneca River, traveling from Jack's Reef to State Route 31. Directly north of Memphis, past the hamlet of Ionia, lies a small unmarked community. Formerly called Sand Springs in the 1800s, the area is now more commonly known as Whisky Hollow. It is home to the Whiskey Hollow Nature Preserve, a rough road bridging Perry Road to West Dead Creek Road. The preserve has been relatively untouched in the past century. Within the preserve lies a natural spring, which the local community uses as a fresh source of water.

The Kelsey–Davey Farm is a farm on Old Seneca Turnpike in the town of Skaneateles, New York. The farm dates from 1810. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The farmhouse is of Federal/Federal vernacular style. The house is located at 1861 Old Seneca Turnpike, which is just west of the village of Marcellus. In 2012, it is still owned by members of the Davey family and has been completely restored. The house is quite close to the road and fully visible. The barns are no longer standing, however the ruins of the big horse barn are due west of the house. The first floor of the barn was stone and is still standing. It is visible from the road, although it is built into a hillside and the side facing the road is mostly underground. The original three-seater outhouse is the only outbuilding still standing, it is directly behind the main structure.

The Tefft-Steadman House in Marcellus, New York is a Greek Revival-style house that was designed by major architect Minard Lafever. (Or is it just from one of his pattern books?) It was built in 1835, apparently faithfully implementing a design from architect Minard Lafever's pattern-book, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.The house is now operated as a local history museum by the Marcellus Historical Society.

Marcellus is a village in the town of Marcellus in Onondaga County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,745. The village is southwest of Syracuse and is in the southern part of the town of Marcellus.

The First Presbyterian Church of Marcellus is a local Presbyterian church in the village of Marcellus, New York. Located at the intersection of North Street (New York State Route 174) and East Main Street (also NY 174) in downtown Marcellus. The church is the oldest and one of four churches in the village alone. The original formation of the church dates back to October 1801, when the Reverend Caleb Alexander was successful in creating an 18-member church in Marcellus known as the Church of Christ. Two years later, a wooden meeting house was constructed, but was not the normal style for a regular church. Levi Parsons was the reverend for several decades, starting in 1807 to 1841, when he was replaced by a new pastor. By 1819, three churches had been built in the land that contained Marcellus, but the second church constructed eventually hit an ill-fate when membership dwindled. This second church is located now in the town of Skaneateles. The third church was opened in January 1819, when the society was moved off of the local State Road (now U.S. Route 20. From 1948 to 1956, the entire church was revamped, along with being raised. The church was then dedicated in April 1952. In 1957, the church then elected its first woman elder, and by 1978, the church had nine women of 18 members.

The town was probably named after Marcus Claudius Marcellus, a Roman general, by a clerk interested in the Classics. The Marcellus Formation is a vast geological layer of shale spanning Pennsylvania, West Virginia and parts of other states and Ontario, which is named for an outcropping in or near Marcellus.The Town of Marcellus contains a village also named Marcellus. The town and village are southwest of Syracuse.

Camillus is a village in Onondaga County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,222. The village takes its name from the town in which it is located. It is part of the Syracuse Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village of Camillus is in the town of Camillus, west of Syracuse. It was the home of the world-famous Camillus Cutlery Company.
