The Conjunto Virginia Opazo is an architectural ensemble designed by architect Luciano Kulczewski, which is located in the Barrio República, in downtown Santiago, Chile. It consists of 33 two-story terraced houses. The residential subdivision was inaugurated in 1944, and was declared as a National Monument of Chile on November 10, 1992, within the category of Zona Típica (Heritage District).

Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins (English: General Liberator Bernardo O'Higgins Avenue), popularly known as La Alameda (meaning, a street bordered by poplar trees), is the main avenue of Santiago, Chile. It runs east-west in the center of the greater urban area and is 7.77 km (4.83 mi) long, and it has up to 5 lanes in each direction. It was named after Chile's founding father Bernardo O'Higgins. It was originally a branch of the Mapocho River.

República is an underground metro station on the Line 1 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. This station is named for República Avenue. The station was opened on 15 September 1975 as part of the inaugural section of the line between San Pablo and La Moneda.Like most underground Line 1 stations, it has two levels below street level: the central mezzanine and the platform level. There are three entrances from street level. The only exit on the north side of Alameda Avenue leads to the Barrio Concha y Toro. The portions of the walls along the platforms that are under the station name signs are painted yellow, which originally featured small square mosaic tiles. The station's artwork, installed in December 2000, is entitled La República de los Niños (The Republic Of The Children) and consists of paintings on ceramic tiles, which were created by children with the support of Chilean artists.

The Captaincy General of Chile (Capitanía General de Chile [kapitaˈni.a xeneˈɾal ðe ˈt͡ʃile]) or Governorate of Chile (known colloquially and unofficially as the Kingdom of Chile), was a territory of the Spanish Empire from 1541 to 1817 that was, for most of its existence, part of the Viceroyalty of Peru. The city will host the 2023 Pan American Games.

UNAB is ranked 56th among Latin American universities in 2022, and Andrés Bello University currently ranked 8th among Chilean university according to the CSIC webometric.

Barrio Concha y Toro is a barrio located in Santiago, Chile. The neighborhood has a medieval-like street plan, whose design was influenced by the ideas of Camillo Sitte. The houses are built on the former site of the Díaz Gana Palace's park, which was divided into lots in 1915. The district's boundaries are defined by Brasil Avenue, Avenida Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins, Cumming Avenue, Romero Street, Maturana Street and Erasmo Escala Street.

Unión Latinoamericana, also known as ULA, is an underground metro station on the Line 1 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. It is close to Víctor Jara Stadium. The station was opened on 15 September 1975 as part of the inaugural section of the line between San Pablo and La Moneda.It has a single mezzanine, which is accessed by four entrances via two corridors. There are stairs at the four corners of the mezzanine, which are used as one-way walkways, although the stairs that go from the paid area of the mezzanine to the platforms can be used in a reverse direction for crossover between the platforms. At the top of the platforms exit stairs there are two rows of manual one-way swing gates.

The Museum of Solidarity Salvador Allende (MSSA) (Spanish: Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende) is a contemporary art museum located in Santiago, Chile, named after Salvador Allende, president of Chile between 1970 and 1973.

Estadio Víctor Jara is an indoor multi-use sports complex located in the western part of Santiago, Chile, near the Estación Central and Alameda Avenue. It was designed in the rationalist style and was opened in 1949 as Estadio Chile (Chile Stadium). It has a total capacity for an audience of 6,500 people. In 2004 it was renamed as a memorial to folk singer Víctor Jara. Jara and thousands of other putative enemies of the state were held at the two major stadiums of Santiago, the Estadio Chile and the Estadio Nacional after the Chilean coup of 1973 by the Chilean Army. Jara was tortured and killed at the Estadio Chile on 15 September 1973. Before his death, he wrote an untitled poem known as "Estadio Chile". Today, Estadio Víctor Jara is used for volleyball, basketball, futsal, and occasionally for table tennis tournaments; formerly it was also a training center for boxing and professional wrestling. Estadio Víctor Jara features a steel truss supported roof and a rubber based playing surface, which has a polyurethane layer on top. The walls are of reinforced concrete, 30 cm (12 in) in thickness. It also has facilities to lodge up to 185 sportspeople.Unión Latinoamericana metro station provides access to this sports complex.

Diego Portales University (Spanish: Universidad Diego Portales, UDP) is one of the first private universities founded in Chile and is named after the Chilean statesman Diego Portales. UDP has campuses in the Barrio Universitario de Santiago and Huechuraba.
