Nocera dei Pagani (Latin: Nuceria Paganorum) is the name under which was known in the past, between the 16th century and 1806, a civitas that included a large portion of the Agro nocerino-sarnese, composed of 5 existing municipalities: Nocera Inferiore, Nocera Superiore, Pagani, Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino and Corbara.

Pagani (Italian: [paˈgani], ('e) Pavane in Neapolitan: [(e) pɑˈvɑːnə]) is a town and comune in Campania, Italy, administratively part of the Province of Salerno, in the region known as the Agro Nocerino Sarnese. Pagani has a population of 35,834, as of 2016.

Stadio Marcello Torre is a multi-use stadium in Pagani, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Paganese Calcio 1926. The stadium holds 5,981 people. On November 24, 2008 a strong wind caused the collapse of a section of the stadium.

The Stadio San Francesco d'Assisi is a football stadium in Nocera Inferiore, Italy. It is the home of A.S.D. Nocerina 1910 and former home stadium of now defunct A.S.G. Nocerina. The stadium was originally called the "Stadio Comunale" but was renamed in honour to Saint Francis of Assisi because there is a church nearby dedicated to him. The stadium was built in 1970, and rebuilt and amplified in 1978 on the occasion of the promotion of Nocerina to Serie B. Renovations on the structure have continued: in the 1986 the grandstand was covered and the tartan track was added. In 2000 the stadium was illuminated. Finally, in 2006 it was re-amplified with the Curva Nord, and the tartan track was once again restructured. The official record attendance is 15,000 from 1979, at a Serie B match between Nocerina and Genoa. In the 1992 the Stadio San Francesco hosted the visit of Pope John Paul II. The stadium is located in the east of the city, in viale San Francesco, not far from the old amphitheatre of Nuceria Alfaterna.

The Agro Nocerino Sarnese is a geographical region of the Province of Salerno, in Campania in southern Italy; the river Sarno flows through it. It is a low-lying area bounded to the south by the Monti Lattari, to the east and north-east by the Monti Picentini and to the west by the plain of Vesuvius. It consists of sixteen comuni: Angri, Bracigliano, Castel San Giorgio, Corbara, Nocera Inferiore, Nocera Superiore, Pagani, Roccapiemonte, San Marzano sul Sarno, San Valentino Torio, Santa Maria la Carità, Sant'Antonio Abate, Sant'Egidio del Monte Albino, Sarno, Scafati and Siano. All are in the province of Salerno except Santa Maria la Carità and Sant'Antonio Abate, which are in the province of Naples.
