University of the Americas (Chile)

Providencia (Spanish pronunciation: [pɾoβiˈðensja], Spanish: "providence") is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. Part of Greater Santiago, it is bordered by the communes of Santiago to the west, Recoleta to the northwest, Las Condes and Vitacura to the northeast, La Reina to the east, and Ñuñoa to the south. It belongs to the Northeastern zone of Santiago de Chile. Providencia is home to a large upper middle to upper-class population and it holds the region's highest percentage of population over 60 (22%). It contains many high-rise apartment buildings as well as a significant portion of Santiago's commerce. It is notable for its large, old and elegant houses inhabited in the past by the Santiago elite and now mostly used as offices. The municipality is also home to many embassies, including those of Canada, Poland, Hungary, Italy, France, Egypt, Russia, Japan, China, and Uruguay.

The Santiago Chile Temple is the 26th constructed and 24th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Located in the Chilean capital, Santiago, it was built with a modern single-spire design.

The Historical Museum and Cultural Center of the Carabineros de Chile (Spanish: Museo Histórico y Centro Cultural Carabineros de Chile) is the official institutional body for the preservation of the historical heritage of the Carabineros de Chile. It contains various collections related to the history of the police function in Chile, spanning from the arrival of Pedro de Valdivia in the Mapocho Valley to the present day.

Universidad Finis Terrae (English: Finis Terrae University) (UFT) is a Chilean university. It is a private autonomous institution in Santiago de Chile owned by the Anahuac University Network.

Liceo José Victorino Lastarria (English: José Victorino Lastarria High School) is a Chilean high school located in Santiago, Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile. It was established in June 1913.

Inés de Suárez is an underground metro station on the Line 6 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. This station is named for Inés de Suárez, a woman from Extremadura who was a companion and a one-time lover of the conqueror Pedro de Valdivia, who took an important part of the control in the defense of the city of Santiago against the indigenous resistance. A short distance from the station is the Inés de Suarez Park and the Plaza Pedro de Valdivia. The station was opened on 2 November 2017 as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Cerrillos and Los Leones.

The Hospital del Salvador is a hospital in central Santiago, Chile. The hospital is located in the commune of Providencia.

Manuel Montt is an underground metro station on the Line 1 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. It was opened on 22 August 1980 as part of the metro extension from Salvador to Escuela Militar. Initially its walls were covered with stoneware ceramic tiles of blue and orange colors, some of which loosen or fall off as a consequence of the 2010 Chile earthquake. The total replacement of its wall tiles is underway.

The Uruguayan ambassador in Santiago de Chile is the official representative of the Government in Montevideo to the Government of Chile.

The Iglesia de la Divina Providencia (English: Church of the Divine Providence) is a church managed by the Sisters of Providence, in Santiago, Chile. It gives its name to the district of Providencia and also to Avenida Providencia. The church was originally declared as a National Monument in 1975, but this designation was revoked and again designated as a national monument in 1989.

Radio Agricultura (originally Radio Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura) is a Chilean radio broadcasting network belonging to the association of landowners, Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura (SNA). It is run by Publicaciones y Difusión SA (which is owned by the SNA), the studios are at Edificio Pamplona. It was founded in 1935 in Valparaíso and inaugurated on October 30, 1936 in Santiago de Chile. Its concession goes back to Decree No. 3633 of August 30, 1935, subsequently published in the Diario Oficial on September 11, 1935. It takes a conservative editorial line.

University Ucinf was an Chilean private university specializing in informatics. The UCINF had 7 faculties and 3 Technological Institutes dedicated to the teaching of technical careers. The UCINF was recognized as the 48th Chilean university according to the classification of the Superior Council of Scientific Research or CSIC, in July 2011, and 25th according to the ranking of El Mercurio.
