Womanagh River

The R629 road is a regional road in southeast County Cork, Ireland. It travels from the R630 road at Ballinacurra's grotto, southeastwards through Kearney's Cross and Cloyne (where it turns eastwards), past Ballymaloe House and Shanagarry, into Ballycotton. The statutary definition gives it as beginning at the R907 in Midleton, but all maps and other material assign the Midleton–Ballinacurra stretch to the R630 instead.

St Colman's Cathedral in Cloyne is a cathedral church of the Church of Ireland while the Pro Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne, Cobh Cathedral of Saint Colman, overlooks Cork Harbour. Cloyne is within the Cork East Dáil constituency.

Cloyne Round Tower is a round tower in the historically monastic town of Cloyne, County Cork in Ireland. Cloyne was also the "see city" of the Anglican (Church of Ireland) Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. The tower is a symbol for the town of Cloyne.

St. Colman's Cathedral, Cloyne (Irish: Ard-Eaglais Naomh Colmán, Cluain) is a cathedral of the Church of Ireland in Cloyne, County Cork in Ireland. It is in the ecclesiastical province of Dublin. Originally a Roman Catholic cathedral, it was converted to an Anglican cathedral in 1678. Previously the cathedral of the Diocese of Cloyne, it is now one of three cathedrals in the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. Cloyne Round Tower is across the road from the cathedral and was at one time used as the tower for the cathedral bell.

Cloyne GAA club is located in the small town of Cloyne in County Cork, Ireland. The club plays in the Imokilly division of Cork GAA. Founded in 1887 they have yet to win a Cork Senior Hurling Championship title and have the dubious distinction of losing in 3 successive finals (2004, 2005 and 2006). Christy Ring, one of the clubs most famous players, played for the team before moving to play for Glen Rovers in 1941. He was sometimes known as The Wizard of Cloyne and a statue commemorating him stands in the centre of the town.

The Yeats Room of Ballymaloe House (ba-lee-ma-LOO) is a restaurant located in Shanagarry in County Cork, Ireland. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star for each year in the period 1975–1980. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant the "Red M", indicating 'good food at a reasonable price', in the period 1981–1994. The Egon Ronay Guide awarded the restaurant one star in the periods 1975–1981, 1983-1984 and 1987–1988.The kitchen style of Ballymaloe House is Modern Irish. In 1964 the Allen family, who had purchased the Ballymaloe estate, converted the old dining room into a restaurant. They named the restaurant The Yeats Room. In 1967 the first few rooms were converted into hotel rooms, to accommodate guests who liked to stay. Later still the Ballymaloe Cookery School was established. In the time Ballymaloe House was awarded the Michelin star, Myrtle Allen was the head chef. Dervilla O'Flynn is currently head chef. Dervilla is married to Myrtle Allen's Grandson Sacha Whelan.

Ballinacurra (Irish: Baile na Cora, meaning 'town of the weir') is a small harbour village on the outskirts of Midleton, County Cork. It is about 18 km south east of Cork city. The village lies at the confluence of the Owenacurra River and the east channel of Cork Harbour. It served as the port for the town of Midleton, which is less than 2 km north of Ballinacurra, for centuries and became a loading and unloading point for coal, timber, iron and slate and later flax for the linen industry.The port of Ballinacurra closed in 1962 as it was deemed too expensive to dredge the growing levels of silt and mud at the entrance to the small harbour. It is now used mainly for small leisure boats. The man who is believed to have discovered Antarctica in 1820, Edward Bransfield, was born and raised in Ballinacurra.

St Colman's Community College is a second-level school located in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. There are approximately 90 teachers and 1020 students in St Colmans Community College. The Jameson Experience, Midleton, (also known as the Old Midleton Distillery) is an Irish whiskey museum and visitor centre located in the Old Midleton Distillery in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. Set over 15 acres, since opening as a visitor's centre in 1992, the old distillery has received approximately 100,000 guests per year, receiving 125,000 in 2015.The Old Midleton Distillery in which the Jameson Experience is located began life as a woollen mill, before being converted to a military barracks and subsequently a distillery in 1825. The distillery operated until 1975, when a new distillery was constructed alongside it to house the consolidated operations of three former whiskey-making rivals, John Jameson & Son, John Powers & Son, and Cork Distilleries Company (owners of the Midlelton Distillery), who had come together to form Irish Distillers in 1966. It now houses a visitor centre, a restaurant, and a gift shop.

The Midleton distilleries complex is situated in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. Established in 1975 and owned by Irish Distillers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Located alongside is the Old Midleton Distillery, which was established in the early 17th century and now operates as a visitor centre known as the Jameson Experience.

Midleton College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. In past centuries it has also been called Midleton School. Although founded in 1696, the school did not open until 1717. It went through a period of inactivity early in the 19th century, and by the 1860s had low numbers, but was reinvigorated by a new principal and by the end of the 1870s was one of Ireland's leading schools. Originally for boys only, it is now co-educational. The school has a strong Church of Ireland tradition, and its chaplain is also priest-in-charge of the neighbouring Youghal Union of parishes.
