Lille Kirkestræde 1/Nikolaj Plads 28 is a Neoclassical corner building situated in front of the former St. Nicolas' Church, now Kunsthallen Nikolaj, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was listed in 1945. The building was like most of the buildings in the area constructed following the Copenhagen Fire of 1795. It was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945. A plaque on the chamfered corner of the building commemorates that Louis Pio spoke to the crowds in Lille Kirkestræde from a window on the second floor on the night before the so-called Battle of the Common (Slaget på Fælleden) on 5 May 1872.

The building is today owned by Borgervennen, a fraternal society founded in 1788, now based in the apartment on the first floor. The building was listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1945.

Ved Stranden (lit. "At the Beach") is a canal side public space and street which runs along a short section of the Zealand side of Slotsholmen Canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It begins at Holmens Kanal, opposite the Church of Holmen, and runs west along the canal for one and a half blocks before widening into a small, triangular space adjacent to Højbro Bridge and Højbro Plads. The name of the street refers to Gammel Strand, 'Old Beach', which it formed part of until 1961.

The Grandjean House (Danish: Grandjeans Gård) is a Late Neoclassical property consisting of two separate buildings, one at Bredgade 4 and one at Store Strandstræde 3, on opposite side of a central courtyard, in central Copenhagen, Denmark. The property is separated from Kongens Nytorv by a small building that now houses Copenhagen Amber Museum. It was built in 1854 by the architect Christian Tybjerg for pastry chef Christian Bredo Grandjean. It replaced an older building, which was known as the Collin House after Hans Christian Andersen patron Jonas Collin, but this name is now associated with another building in Amaliegade. The Grandjean House was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1959.

Ploug House (Danish: Plougs Gård) is a listed Neoclassical property on the corner of Højbro Plads and Ved Stranden in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It dates from the building boom which followed after the Copenhagen Fire of 1795 but takes its name from the poet, publisher and politician Carl Ploug who lived there in the 1860s and 1870s and also published the newspaper Fædrelandet from the premises.

The Collin House (Danish: Den Collinske Gård) is a listed Neoclassical property at Amaliegade No. 9 in the Frederiksstaden district of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It takes its name after Jonas Collin, a prominent civil servant and leading patrons of the arts during the Danish Golden Age, who owned the building from 1838 to 1861. He was a close friend and loyal supporter of Hans Christian Andersen who often visited the house.
