Al Tarfa (Arabic: الطرفة, romanized: Aţ Ţarfah) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. Together with Jelaiah and Jeryan Nejaima, it makes up Zone 68 which has a total population of 5,521 as of 2015. Jeryan Nejaima Street separates it from the district of the same name to west. To the east is Al Khor Coastal Road, which connects it with the municipality of Al Daayen. Qatar University, the first institution of higher education established in the country, is based in the district.

Qatar University (Arabic: جامعة قطر; transliterated: Jami'at Qatar) is a public research university located on the northern outskirts of Doha, Qatar. It is the only public university in the country. The university hosts twelve colleges – Arts and Sciences, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Law, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Pharmacy, College of Health Science, College of Medicine, College of Dental Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of nursing, and college of sport Science. Courses are taught in Arabic and English. Students entering the university are sometimes placed in a “Foundation Program”, which ensures the acquirement of skills such as Math and English. Many of its academic departments have received or are currently under evaluation for accreditation from a number of organizations. In addition to undergraduate academics, QU has a research infrastructure including research labs, an ocean vessel, technical equipment and a library including a collection of rare manuscripts. The university serves on behalf of the government and private industry to conduct regional research, particularly in areas of the environment and energy technologies. Qatar University has a student body of fifty-two nationalities, 65% of which are Qatari nationals. About 35% are children of expats. Women make up approximately 70% of the student population, and are provided their own set of facilities and classrooms. QU has an alumni body of over 30,000 graduates, and an active student body of over 20,000 students.

Jeryan Nejaima (Arabic: جريان نجيمة, romanized: Jiryān Nijaīmah) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. It is primarily a residential district containing many villas. Together with Al Tarfa and Jelaiah, it makes up Zone 68 which has a total population of 5,521 as of 2015. Jeryan Nejaima Street separates it from Al Tarfa to the east.

Leabaib (Arabic: لعبيب, romanized: Li'abaīb) is a village in Qatar, located in the municipality of Al Daayen. It is currently under-development as a mixed-use hub for southern Al Daayen, particularly for residential districts such as Jeryan Nejaima, Al Nuwaimi, and for residences located near Arab League Street.

Qatar University Stadium (Arabic: ملعب جامعة قطر) is a multi-purpose stadium of Qatar University in the Al Tarfa district of Doha, Qatar. It is commonly used for football matches and athletics events of the university. The stadium can host up to 10,000 spectators.

Zone 68 is a zone of the municipality of Ad Dawhah in the state of Qatar. The main districts recorded in the 2015 population census were Jelaiah, Al Tarfa, and Jeryan Nejaima.

The Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, formerly known as Duhail Stadium, is a football stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Duhail Handball Sports Hall is an indoor sports arena based in the suburb of Duhail in Doha, Qatar. It was built to host matches of the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship. It was also the venue for all matches of the 2015 IHF Super Globe. It will host matches for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Accommodating a capacity of up to 5,500 spectators, the arena serves as the headquarters of the Qatar Handball Association as of 2015.

The Qatar Masters is a European Tour golf tournament held at Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar. When founded in 1998, it was one of two European Tour events to be staged in the Arabian Peninsula, but was at one point, one of six. From 2005 to 2007 the tournament was co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour. The tournament had modest fields in its early years, but with the aid of "promotional" money paid to top golfers to appear, and being scheduled within a three-week period that included events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, it developed to have one of the European Tour's strongest fields. In 2018, due to travel restrictions between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar as a result of the ongoing diplomatic dispute in the Arab World, it was moved to later in the year, and is no longer held at the same time as the Abu Dhabi and Dubai events. The date change coincided with a reduction in prize money, and resulted in a lower field strength than previous editions.

The Qatar Ladies Open was a golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour first played in 2016. It is played at the Doha Golf Club in Qatar.

The Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar is an 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. The Doha Golf Club is also one of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East. Open to nonmembers, it has a 2 808 yards long floodlit nine-hole academy course, and a clubhouse with three restaurants and a golf shop. The club hosts the Qatar Masters golf tournament.

At the 2011 Pan Arab Games, the golf events were held at Doha Golf Club in Doha, Qatar from 11–16 December. A total of 4 events were contested.
