Ellis Hall (Hendrix College)

Martin Hall is a dormitory on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. It was built in 1918 to a design by noted Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson. It is a three-story masonry structure, faced on dark red brick with stone trim elements. It has a wide central section topped by a gable roof, with projecting gabled sections at its ends. Its ground floor windows are set in arched openings giving it an arcaded appearance. The hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 for its architectural significance.Martin Hall closed for renovations in August 2021, as part of Hendrix College's Residence Hall Renewal Project. Updates to the hall will include, "new HVAC systems to address air quality, humidity, and moisture concerns; new plumbing to streamline maintenance; new layouts for bathrooms to increase privacy; reconfigured laundry areas and study/lounge spaces to promote interaction among residents; ADA-compliant entries and living arrangements; LED lighting upgrades; stronger wireless connectivity; and new doors and flooring throughout both buildings." The dorm reopened in August of 2022 for students to live it. It has space for 123 men with a mix of single, double and triple occupancy rooms.

The Arkansas Governor's School (also known as Arkansas Governor's School for the Gifted and Talented or AGS) is a publicly funded four-week (formerly six-week) residential summer program offered to rising seniors in the state of Arkansas. The school typically accepts around 400 students each year.Modeled after the Governor's School of North Carolina, AGS was founded by governor Bill Clinton in 1979.From 1979 until 2018, the program took place on the grounds of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.On September 13, 2018, the Arkansas Board of Education voted to move the program to Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Arkansas. This decision was met with high criticism from past alumni, staff, and parents with over 2,500 signing a petition against the campus change. The program will be housed at Arkansas Tech for the 2019-2021 sessions.

The Young Memorial, also known as the War Memorial Monument, is a World War I memorial located on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. The sculpture consists of a semicircular seating area, its wings flanking a central square pedestal on which stands a carved rendition of a doughboy. The face of the pedestal bears a relief of the Statue of Liberty, while the backs of the seats have reliefs of female figures, one representing Liberty and the other Peace. The memorial was designed by Hendrix College Professor George Currie, and was placed in 1920.The memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.Originally installed on the west side of Tabor Hall, the memorial has been relocated 5 times. After its 2013 restoration it was relocated to the Young-Wise Memorial Plaza where it stands near sculptures honoring two former Hendrix students who died in Afghanistan.

KHDX (93.1 FM) is the student-operated radio station at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, United States. The station and the FCC license belong to the college.

Hendrix College is a private liberal arts college in Conway, Arkansas. Approximately 1,000 students are enrolled, mostly undergraduates. While affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the college offers a secular curriculum and has a student body composed of people from many different religious backgrounds. Hendrix is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South.

Galloway Hall is a residence hall on the campus of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. It is a large Tudor Revival three story brick building, designed by architect Charles L. Thompson and built in 1913. Its central portion has a gabled roof, with end pavilions that have hip roofs with gabled dormers, and stepped parapet gables, with limestone trim. It is the oldest dormitory building on the campus. It was named to honor Bishop Charles Betts Galloway.The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Conway Commercial Historic District encompasses the historic commercial heart of Conway, Arkansas. The area, roughly bounded by Main Street on the south, Harkrider and Spencer Streets on the east, just south of Mill Street to the north, and Locust Street to the west, was developed between 1879 and 1960, and includes representative architecture from four major phases of the city's development. It includes the city's oldest commercial building, the 1879 Frauenthal & Schwarz Building.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Farmers State Bank is a historic commercial building at 1001 Front Street in Conway, Arkansas. It is a two-story masonry structure in the Classical Revival style. Its side walls are finished in brick, and most of its facade is in stone. The dominant feature of the facade are four massive engaged Tuscan columns, which support an entablature, cornice, and parapet. The main entrance is set in the central bay, with a bracketed hood above. It was designed by Thompson & Harding and built about 1918.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Hendrix College Addition Neighborhood Historic District encompasses a predominantly residential area of Conway, Arkansas that was developed in the first half of the 20th century. Located just north of the Hendrix College campus, it is an area of about 40 acres (16 ha) and twelve square blocks, bounded on the south by Winfield Street, the west by Washington Avenue, the east by Harkrider Street, and the north by Fleming Street. Architecturally, the houses in the neighborhood represent a cross-section of styles popular in the period, from the Prairie School and English Revival, to post-World War II ranch houses. The land had been acquired by Hendrix College when it relocated to Conway in the 1890s, and was developed as a way to pay off some of the debts incurred because of the move. It was one of the city's first formally platted subdivisions.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

First United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church at the junction of Prince and Clifton Street in Conway, Arkansas. It is a two-story brick building with Classical Revival style, set on a raised foundation. The building is basically rectangular in shape, but its main roof is cruciform, with gables on all for sides, and a dome at the center. The front has a fully pedimented six-column Classical portico, with an entablature and dentillated pediment with a small round window at its center. The church was designed by George W. Kramer of New York City, and built in 1913 for a Methodist congregation founded in 1871.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Frauenthal & Schwarz Building, also known as the Front Street Mall. is a historic commercial building at 824 Front Street in Conway, Arkansas. It was designed by architects Sanders & Ginocchio and built in 1925 as a major expansion and renovation of an 1879 building. It is a two-story structure, built of brick, steel, and concrete. Its ground floor storefront consists of plate glass windows and two double-leaf doorways, sheltered by a flat metal overhang. The upper floor has four groups of six windows, each consisting of larger-paned sections topped by smaller-paned ones. A decorative cornice with Mediterranean touches and flattened Italianate brackets extends above them. The building is one of the city's architecturally finest surviving commercial structures of the 1920s, designed by a prominent firm.The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Hall–Hogan Grocery Store is a historic building at 1364 Mitchell Street in Conway, Arkansas. Originally built as a small retail store, it now serves as a private residence. It is a single-story gable-roofed structure, built out of stone with cream-colored trim. The stone, local fieldstone, is laid in a herringbone pattern that is, along with the brick trim, a signature of Silas Owens, Sr., a locally renowned master mason. The main facade is five bays wide, with display windows in the outer four bays, and the entrance at the center, sheltered by a gabled porch.The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
