Al-Jizah (also spelled Jize), historically known as Ziza or Zizia, is a town in northwestern Jordan. It is the 22nd district of the Amman Governorate. During the medieval period it served as a waystation for pilgrims en route to the Hajj in Mecca. This function ceased in the 17th century, though a fort remained there, however was later reinstated when the Al-Fayez clan of the Bani Sakher gained the rights for Hajj protection in the 18th century. The region has been one of the Al-Fayez strongholds ever since.

Al Qastal (Arabic: القسطل) is a town in the Amman Governorate of northern Jordan. Originally established as an Umayyad settlement, it remains the oldest and most complete such settlement in the Near East The remains of the minaret at Qastal is especially important as it is the only one extant from the Umayyad period, making it one of the oldest minarets in the world. Qasr al-Qastal, also located within the town, is considered one of the desert castles and is just 5 km from Qasr Mshatta.

Zabaʼir ʽUdwan is a town in the Amman Governorate of north-western Jordan.

Qasr Mushatta (Arabic: قصر المشتى, romanized: Qasr al-Mshatta, lit. 'Winter Palace') is the ruin of an Umayyad winter palace, probably commissioned by Caliph Al-Walid II during his brief reign (743-744). The ruins are located approximately 30 km south of Amman, Jordan, north of Queen Alia International Airport, and are part of a string of castles, palaces and caravanserais known collectively in Jordan and the wider Southern Levant region as the Desert Castles (qasr, pl. qusur). Though much of the ruins can still be found in situ, the most striking feature of the palace, its facade, has been removed and is on display at the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. The complex was never completed.

The village of Umm al-Walid is located south of the Jordanian capital Amman. The citizens consider this area as in need of rehabilitation, in order to put it on the Jordanian archaeological map. The site has been occupied since the Bronze Age and contains vestiges of many ancient civilizations.

Ash Shufatah is a town in the Amman Governorate of north-western Jordan.

Andalucia (Arabic: الأندلسية; sometimes spelled Al Andalucia) is a town project by Taameer jordan holdings located 20 km away from Amman, Jordan. It is named for the former Muslim kingdom of Al-Andalus (modern Andalusia) in Spain. It is the first Gated Community project to be launched in Jordan. It consists of 588 villas from ten different designs, which take up about 37% of the overall project area, which is 800,000 m² in size. The project was supposed to be completed in 2009, at a total cost of 150,000,000 JOD, but is still to be completed as of June 2012; due to cash flow problems. The project has been marked by delays in completion and failure by Taameer to pay contractors and suppliers. Andalucia is supposed to have many facilities including a health club, shopping centers, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, clinics, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Jalul is an archaeological site and small village in the Amman Governorate in northwestern Jordan.

Al Lubban is a town in the Amman Governorate of north-western Jordan.

Umm al-Birak is a town in the Amman Governorate in northwestern Jordan.
