Chaires (pronounced as ) is an unincorporated community located just east of Tallahassee in Leon County, Florida, United States. It is located near the intersection of Chaires Cross Road and Capitola Road, northeast of Lake Lafayette and the Edwards Wildlife Area. The ZIP Code for Chaires is 32317.

Chaires Elementary School, formerly The Chaires School, is an elementary school located in the unincorporated community of Chaires, Florida in eastern Leon County. Under the name Station One School, it appeared in Leon County School Board minutes in the 1870s. At that time, it served grades 1–10. It was racially segregated and served only white students.

The Chaires Community Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on December 13, 2000) located in Chaires, Florida. The district runs roughly along Chaires Cross Road, Road to the Lake, and Hancock Street. It contains 15 historic buildings. With the exception of a brick Romanesque Revival Chaires Elementary School, the buildings in the district are of wooden vernacular construction. The school, built in 1929, was designed by Tallahassee architect Alvin R. Moore. Moore was also the architect of the Chipley City Hall, built in 1928.

San Pedro y San Pablo de Patale was a Spanish Franciscan mission built in the early 17th century in the Florida Panhandle, six miles east of Tallahassee, Florida. It was part of Spain's effort to colonize the region, and convert the Timucuan and Apalachee Indians to Christianity. The mission lasted until 1704, when it was captured by a militia of Creek Indians and South Carolinians. The site where the mission stood was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on June 26, 1972.

The Tallahassee Automobile Museum (TACM), also known as the Tallahassee Automobile and Collectibles Museum, is an automobile museum in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida. The museum is owned by Tallahassee-based businessman DeVoe L. Moore, and primarily showcases items of Americana from Moore's personal collection.The museum's collection includes over 160 automobiles, Steinway grand pianos, die-cast toy cars, pedal cars, antique boating items, golf memorabilia, Hit and Miss motors, brass cash registers, clocks, bicycles, boats, sports memorabilia, motorcycles, can openers, spark plugs, artifacts and memorabilia. The collection includes three Batmobiles, an 1894 Duryea, a 1931 Duesenberg Model J Double Cowl Phaeton Convertible, 1911 Ford Model T Torpedo Run About, 1955 Kayser Darrin Roadster, a Delorean and a 1948 Tucker. The site is also known for its place, as during the 2016 presidential election, US president Donald Trump held a campaign rally on October 25, 2016, in the water buffalo pasture next door in which 20,000 people attended.
