Rockheim

The Pier Terminal (Norwegian: Pirterminalen) is a ferry terminal and bus station located at Brattøra in the centre of Trondheim, Norway. Fosen Trafikklag operates fast ferries across the fjord to Vanvikan, as well as Kystekspressen to Kristiansund and Sula. Team Trafikk serves the terminal with several routes by city bus. The terminal is owned by Fosen Trafikklag, whose head office is located in the upper levels of the building. Plans have been launched to construct a walkway that would allow passengers to walk over the rail yard to Trondheim Central Station in a few minutes.

Brattøra is an artificial island in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 0.485-square-kilometre (120-acre) island is located at the mouth of the river Nidelva just north of the city centre (Midtbyen), west of Nyhavna, and south of Trondheimsfjord. There is a canal that divides the mainland from what is now the island of Brattøra. In addition to some commercial offices, most of the island is used by Trondheim Central Station and Trondheim Port.The island is connected to the western parts of Trondheim by the Skansen Tunnel which was completed in 2010. Since the late 1990s, there has been an urban renewal program at Brattøra, converting parts of the port to office buildings, including the swimming pool "Pirbadet" and a massive office complex housing among others Reinertsen and the Norwegian School of Management. Brattøra also houses Pirterminalen, the docks for the high-speed catamaran services to Fosen and Kristiansund as well as the corporate headquarters of Fosen Trafikklag. The Coastal Express and other cruise ships also stop at Brattøra. Brattøra was the site of the Øreting, the regional Ting during the Middle Ages.

Trondheim Central Station (Norwegian: Trondheim sentralstasjon) or Trondheim S is the main railway station serving the city of Trondheim, Norway. Located at Brattøra in the north part of the city centre, it is the terminus of the Dovre Line, running southwards, and the Nordland Line, which runs north. The railway is electrified south of the station but not north of it, so through trains must change locomotives at the station. Vy serves the station with express trains to Oslo and Bodø, regional trains to Røros and Östersund in Sweden, and the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. The Trondheim Bus Station located at the station serves all long-distance buses, and some city buses. From 1913 to 1968 the station was also the terminus for two lines of the Trondheim Tramway. Trondheim's first station, dating from 1864, was located at Kalvskinnet. In 1877 the current station was built to serve the Meråker Line to Sweden—since integrated into the Nordland Line. At the same time a connection was built between the two stations, and the central station took over as the main station serving Trondheim. In 1910 construction of a new station for the Dovre Line was started, finishing in 1921. The main station building consists of an older section in historicism brick, while the annex is in postmodernistic concrete and glass.

Nova Kinosenter is a cinema located in the city of Trondheim in Norway. It is one of Norway's most modern cinemas, and in September 2004, six new auditoria were added to the existing five. In its current form, Nova can accommodate 1314 people.

Olavshallen (English: Olav Hall or Olav Concert Hall) was built in 1989 as a concert hall and is named after a historical tradition in Trondheim, Norway, the St. Olav tradition. The foundation stone was laid by HM King Olav V 22 July 1988. Olavshallen opened for its first concert 17 September 1989 with jazz pianist Oscar Peterson and the official opening was held on 21 September. Olavshallen consists of two concert rooms - a main auditorium, the Large Hall has a seating capacity of 1240 and Little Hall with a capacity of 350 spectators. Olavshallen each year welcomes artists from various genres such as classical music, opera, dance, ballet, pop, rock, country, jazz, world music and children's and family events, shows, theater, cabaret and stand-up comedy shows. Trondheim Symphony Orchestra has its permanent abode in Olavshallen. Olavshallen has 260-300 concerts a year and an annual visit of approx. 150 000. The managing company Olavshallen AS, owned by the municipality receives no public funding for the operation of the culture.

Sonans Utdanning is a private educational institution offering general subjects at upper secondary (akin to high school) level and vocational school in Norway. It was established in 1989 in Stavanger, Norway under the name Stavanger Private Gymnas, which later developed into a chain of independent schools across Norway. The institution has 8500 students annually, and focuses on candidates who want to complete or improve grades from high school, or obtain study competencies in order to be admitted into higher education and reach specific study goals.

SpareBank 1 SMN is a Norwegian savings bank based in Trøndelag. The bank has 71 branches in 51 municipalities in Central Norway and is part of the bank alliance SpareBank 1. In Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag the bank is branded SpareBank 1 Midt-Norge while it is branded SpareBank 1 Romsdals Fellesbank in Møre og Romsdal but in April 2008 the bank changed its name to Sparebank 1 SMN. The company has its head office in Trondheim. The CEO is Finn Haugan. The bank has total assets of NOK 46 billion, making it the 9th largest bank in Norway. In Trøndelag the bank has a market share of 38% while it has a 28% marked share in Romsdal. The bank serves both private customers in addition to agricultural, small and medium-sized businesses in addition to the public sector.

Verftsbrua (Norwegian for "Yard Bridge"), also popularly called Blomsterbrua ("Flower Bridge"), is a bridge at the bay of Trondheim. The bridge, built in 2003, spans 125 metres (410 ft). The name Verftsbrua comes from the nearby shipyard, Trondhjems mekaniske Værksted, while the name Blomsterbrua is due to the bridge featuring flowerbeds along its edges. It is mainly used for walking and biking, with over 5,000 people using it every day. It was built so people could reach the centre of the city without taking a long detour. Boats up to a height of 6 metres (20 ft) can pass the bridge, with a channel width of 12.5 metres (41 ft). The bridge is a retractable, and can be opened to allow taller boats to pass.

Kunsthall Trondheim is a contemporary art institution in Trondheim, Norway. Located in a former firehall, it opened in October 2016. Between 2013 and 2016, Kunsthall was run as a preliminary project in a temporary space by former director Helena Holmberg. Since 2019, Stefanie Hessler is Kunsthall Trondheim director. The faciliry offers exhibitions and public programmes.

Trondheim Science Centre (No: Vitensenteret i Trondheim) is located in the Kongens gate area of Trondheim, Norway.

Midtbyen is a borough of the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The borough comprises much of the city centre of downtown Trondheim plus part of the Bymarka rural areas to the west.
