Chandigarh Airport (IATA: IXC, ICAO: VICG), also known as Shaheed Bhagat Singh Airport, is a customs airport serving the union territory of Chandigarh, India. The airport is located in Jhiurheri, Punjab. The airport caters to six domestic airlines and connects Chandigarh to 17 domestic destinations and 2 international destinations. It is named after the renowned freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh.

The Pinjor Formation is a Cenozoic geologic formation in India. The fossils of large crocodilians and mammals have been recovered from the formation.

The Japanese Garden is a park located in Sector 31 in union territory of Chandigarh. Built in 2014 on 13 acres of Land, by Indian Government, it was inaugurated by Shivraj Patil on 7 November 2 014. It consists of water bodies, pagoda towers, water falls, meditation centre, a buddha idol and golden bamboos. This is first ever garden in Chandigarh with Japanese touch. The garden has been developed at a cost of Rs 6 crore. The Japanese Garden consists of two phases. The Phase-1 was inaugurated on 7 November 2014 and the Phase-2 of the park was opened to public on 4 June 2016. Both the phases of the park are connected by a tunnel decorated by beautiful Japanese paintings on both sides. The garden is designed using Japanese architecture and each of the elements in the garden is given a unique Japanese touch.

Chandigarh Metro is an approved rapid transit system in the Chandigarh Capital Region which includes Chandigarh city and adjacent areas in Punjab and Haryana states of India. In phase-1, to be progressively built & operationalised between 2027 to 2037, 3 lines will connect tri-cities of Chandigarh, Mohali in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana. Phase-2, to be constructed after 2037, will connect Pinjore in Haryana and further expand the network in Mohali. The project, which was initially scrapped in 2017 due to low financial viability, was later approved in March 2023 and received formal clearances in July 2023 from the governments of Punjab and Haryana after a detailed project plan (DPR) was created.

Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh a medical school and a tertiary care hospital is located in Chandigarh, India. The medical school is administered by Panjab University. It was established in 1991 and has a 36 acres (15 ha) campus located in Sector 32, Chandigarh.

Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSDC) is a college of Panjab University located in the North Indian city of Chandigarh. Established in 1973, the GGDSD college is spread over 16.5 acres of land. The college has been awarded A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. GGDSD College ranked 82nd in the 2018 All India Ranking by NIRF, MHRD. The college is also recognized as 'College with Potential for Excellence' by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi.

St. Anne’s (/sa:nt æns/) Convent School is a co-educational secondary school in Chandigarh, India with English-language education affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is a Christian minority institution, established by the Simla- Chandigarh Educational Society, in 1977. It is administered by the Religious Congregation of the Ursuline Sisters of Mary Immaculate, in the Catholic Church. Bakarpur is a large village in Mohali district in the Indian state of Punjab. Bakarpur had previously been shifted from Ambala district to Rupnagar district on formation of Haryana state on 1 November 1966. Further, on formation of Mohali district, it had been shifted to it in 2006. Now it is getting developed fast like a town. There is a large market, government senior secondary school, Primary health centre, veterinary hospital, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank and Punjab Gramin Bank. In 2009/10 large area of cultivated land of Bakarpur was acquired by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) for construction of a 200-foot-wide (61 m) road from Mohali City to Mohali Airport which is also being connected to the Zirakpur-Patiala Road. Now the GMADA is going to develop new sectors along with this road and the same has been named as Aerocity. In year 2010 residential plots have been allotted by GMADA to the public by draw of lots. This village is on the newly created Mohali airport road.
