The hospital is a teaching hospital for medical students from Copenhagen University.

The Humane Nurse (Danish: Den Humane Sygeplejerske) is a monument to Danish nurses standing in front of Bispebjerg Hospital, facing its old main entrance and with Lersø Park as a backdrop, in the Bispebjerg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was unveiled in 1941 and depicts a uniformed nurse holding a somewhat obstinate infant in her arms.

Lake Emdrup (Danish: Emdrup Sø) is a lake located on the border between Copenhagen and Gentofte municipalities in the Emdrup area of northern Copenhagen, Denmark. It is fed mainly with water from Utterslev Mose to the west and Gentofte Lake to the north and drains into St. Jørgen's Lake in central Copenhagen through a system of pipes. The small Emdrup Lake Park is situated at the southwestern corner of the lake. The lake and park were protected by the Conservation Authority in 1963.

The Bernstorff Memorial (Danish: Bernstorffstøtten) is a memorial to Count Johann Hartwig Ernst von Bernstorff located at Lyngbyvej, just south of Kildegårds Plads, Gentofte Municipality, in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was erected by local farmers to a design by Johannes Wiedewelt to commemorate the agricultural reforms that Bernstorff introduced on his estate, Bernstorff Palace.

Bispebjerg, more commonly referred to as Nordvest (English: North-West), is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. Located on the northern border of the municipality, it covers an area of 5.39 km² and a population of 40,033. More specifically, Bispebjerg refers to a smaller neighbourhood within the district, located on the Bispebjerg Hill from which it takes its name.

Nordvest (lit.: Northwest, short form of Copenhagen North West) or The North West Block is an area in Denmark's Copenhagen municipality. It is located in the southwestern part of the Bispebjerg district. Although there are no clear borders nor any official demarcation, it is broadly recognized as the area covered mostly by the Danish postal code 2400 København NV (NV being shorthand for Nordvest), although some areas lie outside this postal code. As of 2005, 44,177 people resided in the area.

Lersøparken (The Lersø Park) is a public park located on the east side of Tagensvej and just south of Bispebjerg Hospital in the Bispebjerg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The greenway Lersøstien (The Lersø Path) runs through the park and an adjacent area with allotments.
