Guangming District is one of nine districts in the city of Shenzhen. The district, bordering the city of Dongguan in the Northwest of Shenzhen, was created in 2007 as a "functional area" of Bao'an District. In May 2018, it became a formal administrative division.Guangming District has a total area of 156.1 square kilometers and a resident population of 1,095,300 residents. In 2020, Guangming District achieved a regional GDP of 110.77 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7%, the second-fastest growth rate in Shenzhen City. The initial formation of a new generation of emerging industries clustered development pattern regarding information technology, new materials, and biomedicine is also achieved. Since Guangming District is located in the central axis of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong, an important node of the GZ-SZ Science & Technology Innovation Corridor, it was given the mission to build a world-class Science City and the northern center of Shenzhen by the municipal government. The real progress of the Guangming Science City project is about 78% complete in August 2021.

Guangmingcheng railway station (Chinese: 光明城站; pinyin: Guāngmíngchéng zhàn; lit. 'Guangming City railway station') is a railway station of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link and is located in Guangming District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

Fenghuang Town station (Chinese: 凤凰城站; pinyin: Fènghuángchéng Zhàn), is a station on Line 6 of the Shenzhen Metro, in Guangdong, China. It opened on 18 August 2020. The Science Museum bound platform is the termination platform of trains after 23:30.

Guantian station (Chinese: 官田站; pinyin: Guāntián Zhàn), is a station on Line 6 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 18 August 2020.

Marisfrolg Pavilion (simplified Chinese: 玛丝菲尔大厦; traditional Chinese: 瑪絲菲爾大廈), located in Longhua District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, is the headquarters of the Shenzhen fashion brand Marisfrolg. Designed by New Zealand's Architecture Van Brandenburg (AVB), the building features biomimetic designs inspired by the spiky exoskeletons of insects. The main structure is a combination of steel and reinforced concrete, with the exterior decorated using a mosaic of tiles, brick fragments, and stones. The building is on an island site of 5.5 hectares with a 120,000-square-metre. Construction began in 2008 and took 15 years to complete. The architecture seems to have been influenced by the early style of Antoni Gaudí and received attention at the 14th Venice Biennale of Architecture.

Science Park station (Chinese: 科学公园站; pinyin: Kēxué Gōngyuán Zhàn), is a station on Line 6 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 18 August 2020.

The Mount Yangtai (Chinese: 羊台山; pinyin: Yángtaíshān), also known as Mount Yangtai Forest Park, is a mountain at the junction of Bao'an District and Nanshan District in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The peak is 587.3 metres (1,927 ft) in elevation, which is the highest peak in western Shenzhen. In 2008 The mount is rated as one of the eight scenic spots of Shenzhen by the Shenzhen government.

Yangtai Mountain East station (Chinese: 阳台山东站; pinyin: Yángtáishān Dōng Zhàn), is a station on Line 6 of the Shenzhen Metro. It opened on 18 August 2020. The origin name of this station in Chinese is (Chinese: 羊台山东站), which changed to (Chinese: 阳台山东站) because the standard name of Yangtai Mountain return to the origin name (Chinese: 阳台山) at 11 June 2020 by Shenzhen Government.

Songgang station (simplified Chinese: 松岗站; traditional Chinese: 松崗; pinyin: Sōnggǎng; Jyutping: Cung4 Gong1) is a station of Line 6 and Line 11 of the Shenzhen Metro. Line 11 platforms opened on 28 June 2016 and Line 6 platforms opened on 18 August 2020.

Shajing station (Chinese: 沙井站; pinyin: Shājǐng Zhàn) is a station of Line 11, Shenzhen Metro, in China. It opened on 28 June 2016.

Longhua District is a district in Shenzhen, Guangdong, People's Republic of China. It was created as a new district on 30 December 2011, and became a formal district on 11 October 2016.
