Lynde Creek

Lynde Shores Conservation Area is a protected area located in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Located on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, the conservation area composes the mouth of Lynde Creek and its surrounding marshlands, including Cranberry Marsh. The area is operated by the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority.

The organization is regulated by the Public Hospitals Act, the Mental Health Act, and other provincial and federal legislation.

Whitby Junction is a historic railroad station, originally built at the foot of Byron Street in Whitby, Ontario. Under Canadian National the station was later known as Whitby, due to the closure of the central Whitby station between this station and Manilla Junction. Pringle Creek is a small watercourse that drains into Lake Ontario in Whitby, Ontario. It drains 3,102.15 hectares (11.9775 sq mi). Groundwater discharge from the bluffs left from glacial Lake Iroquois feed the headwaters of Pringle Creek.On June 19, 2017, police and animal control officials were able to contain, tranquilize and safely relocate a black bear who had wandered into residential areas on Pringle Creek.

Whitby GO Station is a train and bus station in the GO Transit network in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. It is a stop on the Lakeshore East line and was the eastern terminus of the dedicated GO Transit right-of-way until those tracks were extended to Oshawa in 1995. There are connections by GO Bus northward to Port Perry and Beaverton, and local Durham Region Transit routes within Whitby.
