Terrace Park, historically known as Covell Lake Park or Phillips Park, is a 52-acre (21 ha) public park on the shores of Covell Lake in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Founded in 1916, its modern name is derived from its steep terraces. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Terrace Park and Japanese Gardens in 2015.

Built to replace an earlier orphanage in Turton that burned down, it functioned not only as an orphanage—one of the few in South Dakota—but also as a school from its opening in 1940 to its closure in 1966. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

It is primarily used for baseball and is the home field of the unaffiliated Sioux Falls Canaries baseball team of the American Association. It was their home stadium when they won the American Association championship in 2008. Promoting the home team, the stadium is often affectionately proclaimed "The Birdcage". The stadium has a capacity of up to 4,462 people.

The Pettigrew Home & Museum is a historic house museum located at 131 North Duluth Avenue in the Cathedral Historic District of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Built in 1889, it was once the home of United States Senator Richard Franklin Pettigrew, for whom it is now named. The home was later turned into a museum that is open to the public.

The building is located at 1201 North West Avenue, and is connected to the Sioux Falls Arena and Sioux Falls Convention Center. The Arena's naming rights partners, and largest sponsors, are Sanford Health, First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard.Completed in 2014, the arena has a seating capacity of approximately 12,000 spectators and replaces the DakotaDome and Rushmore Plaza Civic Center as the largest indoor venue in South Dakota. The Sioux Falls Arena hosts smaller concerts and events, while the Denny Sanford Premier Center hosts large scale concerts and sporting events.

KAUN-LD's transmitter is located on the campus of Sanford USD Medical Center near downtown Sioux Falls. KAUN-LD (as KAUN-LP) was an Ion Television affiliate until March 2008, when it switched to Retro TV. It later switched to Youtoo America (now YTA TV). As of February 2023, the station is not broadcasting any programming, yet it is still licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The Cathedral of Saint Joseph is a Catholic cathedral and parish church located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Sioux Falls. Since 1974 the cathedral has been a contributing property in the Cathedral Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

Sioux Falls Arena is a 7,500-seat multi-purpose arena located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The facility was built in 1961. It seats 6,113 for basketball games and 4,760 for indoor football and hockey.It was the home of the Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball team (1989–2013), the Sioux Falls Storm indoor football team, and the Sioux Falls Stampede ice hockey team, as well as a variety of state high school championship events. The Sioux Falls Arena hosted the men's and women's Summit League Basketball Championship from 2009 until the opening of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in 2014. Beginning in the fall of 2014, the Arena has been the home of Augustana University Vikings men's and women's basketball games. Elvis Presley performed one of his final concerts here on June 22, 1977.
