Komitas Museum

Komitas Park and Pantheon (Armenian: Կոմիտասի անվան զբոսայգի և պանթեոն) is located in Yerevan's Shengavit District, on the right side of the main Arshakunyats Avenue, in Armenia. It was formed in 1936 after the demolition of the "Mler" cemetery and its historic chapel. Many outstanding figures of Armenia's artistic world are buried here, including Komitas (1869–1935), the founder of Armenian national music, for whom it is named.

Hakob Hamazaspi Manandian (Armenian: Հակոբ Համազասպի Մանանդյան; November 22, 1873 – February 4, 1952) was an Armenian historian, philologist, and member of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia (1943) and the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union (1939).His most important work is A Critical Survey of the History of the Armenian People (vols. 1–3, 1945–57). He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

On 14 August 2022, at 13:23 local time, a large explosion took place in the Surmalu shopping centre in the Armenian capital of Yerevan. It caused widespread destruction and fire, leaving dozens of dead and injured. The explosion killed 16 people and injured 63, with nine missing as of 20 August.

Yerevan Mall (Armenian: Երևան Մոլ) is a shopping mall located on Arshakunyats Avenue, Yerevan, Armenia. Opened in 2014, it is the largest mall in Armenia in terms of number of stores and total floor area. A Carrefour hypermarket was opened in the mall on 11 March 2015. KinoPark, a movie theater, and Captain Kid's treasure island, the biggest indoor entertainment center in Armenia, are located at Yerevan Mall. Yerevan Mall operates under the management of Galaxy Group of Companies, a holding company founded in 1999.

The Armenian Railways Museum (Armenian: Հայաստանի երկաթուղու թանգարան) is a railway museum in Yerevan, Armenia. On 31 July 2009, the South Caucasus Railway (SCR) Company, a rail operator in Armenia, owned by Russian Railways, opened the Railway Museum in Yerevan in the building of Yerevan railway station. According to Chief Engineer Sergey Harutyunyan, was timed to coincide with the International Railway Day, celebrated on 2 August 2009.The history of the Armenian railway is presented in the museum, from 1896 to the present. There are 10 panels in the museum, each of which represents a certain period of railroad history. The exhibition includes copies of historical documents on the construction of railway crossings in Armenia, photographs of old trains, models of old and modern trains, and railroad equipment. Some of the exhibits are gifts from the Russian Railways. Several larger objects are in a garden accessed from the museum. A 1930s locomotive, number 3ա705-46, and a carriage (the latter formerly housing exhibits on the construction of the Caucasus railway system) stand in the adjacent station. During the Soviet era, the museum did not function - only a small exposition was represented in the carriage standing on the tracks.Museum is open to the public from Monday to Friday (10:00-17:00). The exhibits are labelled in Armenian and Russian.

David of Sasun (Armenian: Սասունցի Դավիթ) is a Yerevan Metro station. It is one of the original metro stations in the city of Yerevan and was opened to the public on 7 March 1981. It is connected to the adjacent Yerevan railway station by a pedestrian tunnel. It is named for David of Sassoun, a statue of whom stands outside the railway station.

Yerevan railway station (Armenian: Երևան երկաթուղային կայարան, romanized: Yerevan yerkat’ughayin kayaran or simply Կայարան, Kayaran) is the central station of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, located south of downtown Yerevan, approximately 2.8 km from Republic Square. It is connected to the adjacent David of Sasun metro station by a pedestrian tunnel.

The Red Bridge (Armenian: Կարմիր կամուրջ, Karmir kamurj; also known as the Old Bridge of Hrazdan; and also known as Bridge of Khoja Plav, Խոջա Փլավի կամուրջ, Khoja Plavi kamurj) is a ruined 17th-century bridge on the Hrazdan River, in Yerevan, Armenia. It was called ‘red’ because as it is built of red tuff. The bridge was also called "Khoja-plav bridge" for Khoja-plav, a wealthy man from Kanaker who financed its reconstructruction.The total length of the bridge was 80 meters and its height was 11 meters. It had 4 arches. Two were in the middle and were squiggly, the other two arches were on the banks of the Hrazdan River.Before the 1679 earthquake there was a bridge in the same place but it was ruined by the earthquake. It provided economic connections between the Yerevan Fortress (in place of the Yerevan Ararat Wine Factory) and the Ararat Plain.

Abbas Mirza Mosque (Armenian: Աբաս Միրզայի մզկիթ, romanized: Abas Mirzayi mzkit; Persian: مسجد عباس میرزا; Azerbaijani: Abbas Mirzə məscidi) was a nineteenth-century Shia mosque in Yerevan, Armenia. Abbas Mirza, in the eighteenth century, the castle was built near the mosque in Yerevan. This mosque was built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, during the reign of the last khan (governor) of the Erivan Khanate, Huseyn Khan. It was named Abbas Mirza Jami, after the Qajar crown prince Abbas Mirza, the son of Fat′h-Ali Shah. The façade of mosque was covered in green and blue glass, reflecting Persian architectural styles. After the Capture of Erivan by the Russians, the mosque was used as an arsenal. The mosque was turned into barracks after it was conquered by Russian troops. During the Soviet era, the mosque, along with Christian buildings, was derelict and currently only the frame of the mosque has been preserved.

David of Sassoun (Armenian: «Սասունցի Դավիթ») is a copper equestrian statue depicting David of Sassoun (Sasuntsi Davit) in Yerevan, Armenia. Erected by Yervand Kochar in 1959, it depicts the protagonist of the Armenian national epic Daredevils of Sassoun. It is placed on a rock-like basalt pedestal in the middle of a large square in front of Yerevan's main railway station.

Noragyugh (Armenian: Նորագյուղ) is a historic neighborhood in Kentron District of Yerevan, Armenia. A plan is in place to destroy the historic district and turn it into a business center, known as "New Yerevan".

Yerevan Ararat Brandy Factory, officially known as the Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory (Armenian: Երևանի Արարատ կոնյակի-գինու-օղու կոմբինատ), commonly known with its famous brand Noy, is a leading Armenian brandy production company in Yerevan, Armenia, currently owned by Gagik Tsarukyan's Multi Group Concern. It was founded in 1877 during the rule of the Russian Empire. The factory is located on the left bank of Hrazdan river at the centre of Yerevan, occupying the area of the historic Erivan Fortress.
