Debar Pond Lodge is a historic Great Camp and national historic district located within the Adirondack Forest Preserve at Duane in Franklin County, New York. The camp was designed by William G. Distin and built about 1940. The main lodge is a rambling two-story, Rustic style building of light-frame construction with an exterior veneer of half and full round logs. The interior features a centrally located, two-story Great Room. Also on the property are the contributing boathouse; a guide house/garage; a generator house; a barn; a shed; a greenhouse and potting shed; and stone posts which mark the associated stone-lined walkway to the lodge's principal entrance. The property was privately owned until 2004, and is now a part of the Adirondack Forest Preserve and under the management and control of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.: 3, 11 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

WICY is known on-air as 102.7 103.5 WICY (after its FM translator frequencies). WICY exclusively operates as a local station for Malone and nearby communities. The station does well in Canadian border communities as well including Huntingdon, Trout River and Cornwall to the Northwest. WICY had a U.S. Federal Communications Commission construction permit to move to 1500 AM, with a city of license of Mooers, New York, with a proposed facility that would direct a 50,000-watt daytime signal towards Montreal; however, plans would be soon discarded, following complaints that the station's focus on Montreal would have meant substantially reduced coverage for information related to Malone or Franklin County. On September 20, 2021, WICY changed their format from 1980s’ hits to country, branded as "Wild Country".

Franklin Academy (commonly called FA) is a public high school located in the rural village of Malone, New York that enrolls students from Malone and surrounding communities in northern Franklin County such as Bangor, Belmont, Burke, Constable, Duane and Westville. With an enrollment of around 700 students in Grades 9–12, Franklin Academy is one of the larger high schools in the North Country region of Upstate New York and is accredited by the New York State Department of Education. The school traces its history to 1806 to the Harrison Academy, a private school that was established not long after the founding of Malone.

First Congregational Church is a historic church at 2 Clay Street in Malone, New York. The third building of the congregation on the site, it was built in 1883. The congregation was the first formed in Franklin County, NY, in 1807, with the first settled pastor in the county (Rev. Ashbel Parmelee). The congregation erected its first church building in 1826 and replaced that first stone building with a second, of brick, in 1852. It is this second building that is thought to have been built with passages to secret escaping slaves on their way to Canada. One of these tunnels is extant in the basement of the current church building. Vice President William A. Wheeler was a member of the church.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

US Post Office-Malone is a historic post office building located at Malone in Franklin County, New York, United States. It was designed and built in 1934, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department under Louis A. Simon. The building is in the Classical Revival style and is three stories in height with a five-bay, two-story entrance pavilion, one-story side wings and a two-story rear wing. It is of steel frame construction and clad in yellow brick trimmed with limestone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
