Merit College Preparatory Academy (MCPA) is a public chartered high school serving grades 7–12 in Springville, Utah, United States, which opened in 2008.

Provo Canyon School (PCS) is a psychiatric youth involuntary residential treatment center in Provo, Utah, owned and operated by Universal Health Services (UHS) since 2000. The involuntary residential program claims to use an "Acuity Based Care" (ABC) model that identifies and re-assesses the strengths and needs of its students. Residents instead receive a wide range of interventions including psychotropic drug therapy; use of physical restraints; humiliation; starvation; and solitary confinement.For nearly its entire history, the facility has faced accusations of physical, psychological, and sexual abuse of its inmates. These accusations gained renewed attention in 2020 when media personality Paris Hilton released a documentary detailing the abuse she and other former residents claimed to have faced at the facility.Charter Behavioral Health Systems owned and operated PCS until it sold to UHS in 2000.

Hobble Creek is a stream in Utah County, Utah. Its mouth lies at at its confluence with Utah Lake, at an elevation 4,491 feet (1,369 m). Its source is located at 40°09′45″N 111°30′03″W, at the confluence of the Left Fork and Right Fork Hobble Creek in the Wasatch Range. The source lies at an elevation 5,043 feet (1,537 m). The unincorporated community of Hobble Creek occupies the valley of the creek and its Left Fork. Hobble Creek Canyon was surveyed for the route of the Denver and Salt Lake Railway (D&SL), which started construction in 1902 to connect its namesake cities via the Uinta Basin. Hobble Creek would have provided the connection from the Wasatch Front to the Uinta Basin. While most of the Colorado portion of the D&SL was built and is still in use today, the company went bankrupt before reaching Utah, and the line was never completed. In 2019, the Uinta Basin Rail project published their list of route alternatives for a new effort to link the Uinta Basin by rail. They examined the 1902 D&SL survey to determine if this right of way was still feasible; while the approach to the Uinta Basin from Colorado was seriously considered, the approach from the west, via Hobble Creek, was not advanced to the shortlist of viable options.

The Wood–Harrison House at 310 S. 300 West in Springville, Utah was built in 1853 and expanded in 1877. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The original 1853 home was adobe, a one-story rectangular cabin-type house. By 1877 it had been sold and two-story house was added to the end of the original building, making it a hall-and-parlor I-house. This reflects general economic prosperity of the times. The house was identified in a 1981 architectural survey of Springville as being "the best known and more carefully documented residence reflecting this historical transition."
