Rue Alibert

Hôpital Saint-Louis is a hospital in Paris, France. It was built in 1611 by architect Claude Vellefaux at the request of Henry IV of France. It is part of the Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris hospital system, and it is located at 1 avenue Claude-Vellefaux, in the 10th arrondissement near the metro station: Goncourt. Its address is 1 avenue Claude-Vellefaux (previously called rue Claude-Vellefaux), just north of rue Bichat. It was founded by King Henry IV (1553–1610) (King of France and Navarre) on May 17, 1607 to decongest the Hôtel-Dieu de Paris during the plague. He named it St. Louis in memory of Louis IX, who died of the dysentery that devastated Tunis in 1270. Today, Hôpital Saint-Louis uses its historical premises (parts of which are classified as historical monuments) for administrative functions. Following the 1980s new modern additions were made to house the current hospital and teaching hospital. Its primary specialties are dermatology and hematology, as well as oncology. The dermatology library was founded by Dr Henri Feulard. The hospital employs 2,500 people, one thousand of whom are in the medical profession. It houses the INSERM Institute of Research on Skin and the René Touraine Foundation. The south-west entrance to the hospital, located at the intersection of rue Bichat and avenue Richerand, is popularly known as the entrance to the police station in the hit French detective television series Navarro.

Goncourt (French pronunciation: [ɡɔ̃kuʁ] (listen)) is a station on line 11 of the Paris Métro in the 10th and 11th arrondissements. It is named after the nearby rue des Goncourt, which was named after the writers Edmond de Goncourt (1822–1896) and his brother Jules de Goncourt(1830–1870). Edmond de Goncourt left funds to create the Académie Goncourt which awards the Prix Goncourt literary prize.

The Collège Louis-Michel, named after French anarchist Louise Michel is located in Paris at 11 rue Jean-Poulmarch, on the bank of the canal Saint-Martin.

The Fondation Jean Dausset-CEPH or CEPH, formerly the Centre d'Etude du Polymorphisme Humain (the Center for the Study of Human Polymorphisms), is an international genetic research center located in Paris, France. It produced a map that includes genetic markers of human chromosomes using a resource of immortalised cell cultures.

The Alhambra is a theatre which opened in April 2008 at 21, rue Yves-Toudic in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, 300 meters from the site of the old Alhambra-Maurice Chevalier.

Le Chateaubriand (French pronunciation: ​[lə ʃɑtobʁijɑ̃]) is a restaurant on Avenue Parmentier in Paris, France. Its chef is Iñaki Aizpitarte. Le Chateaubriand eschews traditional Parisian À la carte menus in favor of prixe fixe offerings, paired with wines which include biodynamic and organic vintages from South Africa, the United States and Georgia. In other words, everything but French wines.In 2008 Le Chateaubriand was selected as the Breakthrough Restaurant in the annual Restaurant magazine poll of chefs and critics. In the 2009 poll, it was voted the 40th best restaurant in the world. In the 2010 poll, it was voted the 11th best restaurant in the world. Most recently, it has climbed into the top 10, ranking in at 9th in 2011.

Saint-Martin-des-Champs is a Roman Catholic Church located at 36 rue Albert-Thomas in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. It was built during the French Second Empire of Louis-Napoleon between 1854 and 1856, a blend of Romanesque architecture and Byzantine architecture, which was very popular in the period. It shares the same name with several other historic Paris churches, most notably the Saint-Martin-des-Champs Priory, whose former building is now part of the French National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts.

The Théâtre Historique (French pronunciation: [teɑtʁ istɔʁik]), a former Parisian theatre located on the boulevard du Temple, was built in 1846 for the French novelist and dramatist Alexandre Dumas. Plays adapted by Dumas from his historical novels were mostly performed, and, although the theatre survived the 1848 Revolution, it suffered increasing financial difficulty and closed at the end of 1850. In September 1851 the building was taken over by the Opéra National and renamed again in 1852 to Théâtre Lyrique. In 1863, during Haussmann's renovation of Paris, it was demolished to make way for the Place de la République. The name Théâtre Historique was revived by some other companies in the late 1870s and early 1890s.

The Boulevard du Temple photograph of 1838 (or possibly 1839) is one of the earliest daguerrotype plates produced by Louis Daguerre. Although the image seems to be of a deserted street, it is widely considered to be the first photograph to include an image of a human.

République (French pronunciation: [ʁepyblik] (listen)) is a station on Lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11 of the Paris Métro. It is located under the Place de la République, at the tripoint border of the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements. It is an important interchange station; its 16.6 million users (2019) make it the seventh busiest out of 302 on the Métro network.

The Place de la République (known as the Place du Château d'Eau until 1879) is a square in Paris, located on the border between the 3rd, 10th and 11th arrondissements. The square has an area of 3.4 ha (8.4 acres). Named after the First, Second and Third Republic, it contains a monument which includes a statue of the personification of France, Marianne. The Métro station of République lies beneath the square, served by Line 3, Line 5, Line 8, Line 9 and Line 11. It is one of the network's main transfer points on the Rive Droite.

The Véry bombing was a bomb attack carried out on 25 April 1892 in Paris by the anarchist militants Théodule Meunier, Jean‑Pierre François and Fernand Bricout against the restaurant Le Véry. The three attacked the establishment in response to the arrest of Ravachol, whom the owner of the establishment, Jean‑Marie Véry, had denounced to the police and whose arrest he had enabled. For them, it was a means to target a police informer they considered a legitimate target because of his collaboration with the authorities against the anarchists. The attack pursued the series of acts committed by Ravachol and escalated the tension of the Era of Attacks (1892–1894). Despite increased security around the establishment, Meunier and François managed to plant a bomb near the counter, killing two people, including their target, Véry. They injured at least one person. The three militants were arrested after the attack; Bricout and his partner Marie Delange decided to cooperate with the police and shifted the blame onto Meunier and François. Meunier was sentenced to life penal labour and deported to the penal colony of Cayenne, where he died in 1907, François was acquitted by the jury that tried him, and Bricout was sentenced to twenty years of hard labor, despite his cooperation with the police.
