Radlett railway station

Radlett is a village in Hertfordshire, England, between Elstree and St Albans on Watling Street, with a population of 8,042. It is in the council district of Hertsmere in the south of the county, and is covered by two wards; Aldenham East and Aldenham West. It is located inside the M25 motorway.

Radlett Reform Synagogue is a synagogue in a former church building on Watling Street in Radlett, Hertfordshire, England. It is affiliated to the Movement for Reform Judaism. Its Senior Rabbi, Paul Freedman, was elected in 2015 as Chair of the Assembly of Reform Rabbis UK, succeeding Sybil Sheridan in the role.From 1984 to 1990 Barbara Borts, born in America, was a rabbi at Radlett Reform Synagogue, making her the first woman rabbi to have a pulpit of her own in a UK Reform Judaism synagogue. She was succeeded by Rabbi Alexandra Wright, who held the pulpit from 1989 to 2003.

Brunton Memorial Ground is a cricket ground at Radlett in Hertfordshire. The ground is the home of Radlett Cricket Club and, since 2013, has been used as an outground by Middlesex County Cricket Club. It was used occasionally by Hertfordshire County Cricket Club between 1975 and 2008 for Minor Counties Championship matches. The ground is located 0.7 miles (1.1 km) south of Radlett to the east of the A5183 road, Watling Street. The Midland Main Line railway which links London St Pancras and Sheffield, runs along the ground's eastern edge.

The Denis Compton Oval is a cricket ground located at the Shenley Cricket Centre in Shenley, Hertfordshire, England. The ground was opened by Denis Compton and the main ground was named in his honour. At the heart of the centre is the 19th-century pavilion, originally designed by the legendary cricketer W. G. Grace.

Tykes Water is a minor tributary of the River Colne in Hertfordshire in England. Its head waters are a network of drainage ditches west of the A41 near Bushey that feed into Aldenham reservoir. The outlet of the reservoir then flows north into the lake in Haberdashers' Aske's School grounds known as Tykes Water Lake. It then proceeds north to make a confluence with a secondary stream, also called Tykes Water, near Kendal Hall Farm.The combined Tykes Waters flow through the centre of Radlett parallel to the railway and then flow north to join the River Colne near Colney Street. The lower part is also called The Brook.The secondary Tykes Water also known as Borehamwood Brook on some maps rises to the south of Borehamwood near Yavneh College and runs north through the town where it has been dammed to produce ornamental lakes in Aberford Park. It then runs north through open country . A minor tributary collects water from farm land north of Borehamwood and also joins near Kendal Hall Farm. Kitwells Brook joins the main stream just north of Radlett and drains land to the east in the direction of Shenley.

Belstone Football Club is a football club based in Radlett, England. They are currently members of the Combined Counties League Division One and play at the Medburn Ground, Radlett.

Kingsley Green is a mental health and learning disability site located in Hertfordshire, England, just southeast of the village of London Colney. Located on Harper Lane, Shenley, the facility was known as Harperbury Hospital for 61 years and has been a fixture of the area's mental health scene since 1928. It had two sister institutions, Shenley Hospital and Napsbury Hospital, within a few miles of its location. A scaling down process began in the 1970s, and resulted in many of the old hospital's buildings becoming abandoned. By late 2001 Harperbury had only about 200 patients and the hospital was officially closed. The new Kingsley Green mental health facility opened on the site in May 2009.

Aldenham School is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged eleven to eighteen, located between Elstree and the village of Aldenham in Hertfordshire, England. There is also a preparatory school for pupils from the ages of five to eleven. It was founded in the late sixteenth century by Richard Platt.

Colney Street is a hamlet in the English county of Hertfordshire. It lies on the A5183 road, this was formerly the A5 road and, before that, Roman Britain's Watling Street. In addition its northern boundary is delineated by the M25 motorway. These location advantages have led to it becoming a primarily industrial and business area. Colney Street was first recorded in Latin translation in 1275, and as Colneystrete in 1475. It takes its name from the River Colne, with the Old English suffix ēa, meaning "river", and the Middle English strete "Roman road", referring to Watling Street.Colney Street forms part of the civil parish of St Stephen in the district of St Albans. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet was included in that of St. Stephen.

Letchmore Heath is a village in Hertfordshire in England, situated about three miles east of Watford.

Bhaktivedanta Manor is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple set in the Hertfordshire countryside of England, in the village of Letchmore Heath near Watford. The Manor is owned and run by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), better known as the Hare Krishna movement. It is ISKCON's largest property in the United Kingdom, and one of the most frequently visited Radha Krishna temples in Europe. The house is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.Previously known as Piggott's Manor, the property was donated to the Hare Krishna movement in February 1973 by former Beatle George Harrison, after the Radha Krishna Temple in central London had become inadequate to house the growing number of devotees. The donation included 17 acres of land, following which the estate was extended through the acquisition of neighbouring properties. Harrison had a close relationship with ISKCON's founder-acharya, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and visited him at the Manor on several occasions. Beginning in 1981, ISKCON was engaged in a campaign to save Bhaktivedanta Manor from closure as a public temple, as the popularity of the site led to increased traffic through Aldenham. After a series of court hearings and appeals, the Department of the Environment granted permission for the building of a road bypassing the village in 1996. With the improved access, the Manor hosts up to 60,000 visitors for annual religious festivals such as Janmashtami.
