Emergence (sculpture)

New Horizons is a 1981 bronze sculpture by Don Eckland, installed in the University of Oregon's Education Courtyard, in Eugene, Oregon, United States. The artwork depicts a "loosely rendered, matronly figure surrounded by at least four loosely rendered children".Eckland said of work: "It is my intention with this sculpture to present a multi-faceted work suggesting numerous relationships. There are those between the larger figure, which at once suggests in itself the past and the contemporary, and the several smaller figures with their interdependence. And there is the desire to seek out and explore with unsuredness in the smaller figures which clearly gain confidence and security from each other and the adult figure. In essence, I have attempted to suggest a relationship of education and guidance in seeking new horizons."

Knight Library is the main facility of the University of Oregon's (UO) library system. It is located on the university's campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States. The library design is emblematic of the architecture of the university's older buildings, and it serves as a hub of student activity. As of 2008 it has a collection of more than 3 million volumes. The library also holds collections of primary sources such as photographs and manuscripts on various topics at the Special Collections & University Archives. It is also a depository for the Federal Depository Library Program. The library was previously known as the Main Library and it was renamed the Knight Library in 1988, in honor of the family of Phil Knight.

The MarAbel B. Frohnmayer Music Building is the home of the School of Music and Dance at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. The building was originally built in 1924, expanded in 1948, 1955, and 1977, and was renamed after MarAbel B. Frohnmayer in 2005.

The Family Group, or The Family, is an outdoor stone sculpture by John Geise, installed on the south lawn, outside the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. Dates from the work range from 1967 to 1973. It was presented to the university in 1974 by the William A. Haseltine family, in honor of administrator Karl Onthank. An inscription reads, "Honoring Karl Onthank whose life on the campus whose life on the campus from 1909 to 1957, bore witness to the love for his fellow man."

It is one of the three oldest cemeteries in Eugene. It is the largest in both acreage and burials encompassing 16 acres (65,000 m2) with approximately 5,000 burials.

Lady is an outdoor sculpture by Jan Zach, installed outside the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, between Prince Lucien Campbell Hall and Condon Hall, on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. The 14-foot (4.3 m) painted steel sculpture was donated to the museum in 2014. It was commissioned by Inacio Peixoto, in memory of his wife, and marked Zach's final work. The sculpture was a work in progress when Zach died in 1986, but his former student Jerry Harpster was able to fabricate Zach's original vision.

Kincaid Field was an athletic field in the located on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. The university acquired the property and used it for athletics from c. 1895 until 1922; it was succeeded by Hayward Field for football in 1919. Kincaid was located on the west side of campus, on what is now the Memorial Quadrangle. The approximate elevation is 420 feet (130 m) above sea level.
