Tooley Creek is a small watercourse that drains into Lake Ontario near Darlington, Ontario. It drains 1,050 hectares (4.1 sq mi). Groundwater discharge from the bluffs left from glacial Lake Iroquois feed the headwaters of Tooley Creek.Its watershed is bordered by the watersheds of three other watercourses, Darlington Creek, Farewell Creek and Robinson Creek.

Darlington GO Station is a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx in the community of Darlington, Ontario, Canada, as part of the approved expansion of train service on the Lakeshore East line to Bowmanville. It will be situated between the main downtown areas of Oshawa and Bowmanville, in an area that is anticipated to be developed over the next few years. The station is intended to serve areas east of the station, as there will be close access to Highway 401. Approximately 1,100 parking spaces will be supplied on opening day, and future parking expansions will be possible. A bus loop and a "Kiss and Ride" area will be included. Initially, it will consist of one side platform, which will become an island platform as demand grows and a second track is built. In 2017, the station was expected to open in 2024.As of 2022, Metrolinx identifies this station by the name "Courtice" rather than "Darlington" on its website; the station name is still subject to change.

Darlington Provincial Park is a provincial park in Ontario, Canada. It is located just south of Highway 401 near the town of Courtice, between the cities of Bowmanville and Oshawa. A small park, the topography is dominated by gentle hills formed by a terminal moraine deposited by glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age. The park borders on the northern shore of Lake Ontario and also encloses McLaughlin Bay. The bay is shallow and at some point in the 1990s was completely closed off from the lake by the action of the waves. The property bordering the park to the west is the home of General Motors Corporation's Canadian headquarters. Kintigh Generating Station can be seen from this provincial park even though it is on the other side of the lake in Somerset, New York.

General Motors of Canada Company (French: La Compagnie General Motors du Canada), commonly known as GM Canada, is the Canadian subsidiary of US-based company General Motors. It is headquartered in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, GM Canada received a combined loan commitment of CA$3 billion of financial assistance from the federal and provincial governments amid declining sales. On November 26, 2018, GM announced the closure of its Oshawa plant, ending a century of automobile and related manufacturing operations in the city. On November 5, 2020, GM announced reopening of the Oshawa plant in January 2022 to produce GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado trucks, hiring up to 2,500 workers.

Courtice () is a community in Ontario, Canada, about 60 km (37 mi) east of Toronto, within the Municipality of Clarington. Adjacent to Oshawa, it is west of Bowmanville, which is also part of Clarington. Courtice Road (Durham Road 34) connects with Highway 401 at Interchange 425, providing arterial access to the community. Darlington Provincial Park is located just south of Courtice.

Darlington Nuclear Generating Station is a Canadian nuclear power station located on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Clarington, Ontario. It is a large nuclear facility comprising four CANDU nuclear reactors with a total output of 3,512 MWe when all units are online, providing about 20 percent of Ontario's electricity needs, enough to serve a city of two million people. The reactor design is significantly more powerful than those used in previous CANDU sites at Pickering and Bruce, making its 4-unit plant the second-largest in Canada behind the 8-unit Bruce. It is named for the Township of Darlington, the name of the municipality in which it is located, which is now part of the amalgamated Municipality of Clarington. The plant began construction in September 1981 and planned to start initial operations in 1985. Several delays ensued, and the construction start on Units 3 and 4 was put off until 1984 and 1985. Unit 2 entered operation in 1990, followed by Unit 1 in 1992, and Units 3 and 4 in 1993. The delays and resulting cost overruns have made Darlington a primary case study for the anti-nuclear movement in Canada, and was one of the main reasons Ontario Hydro was broken up in 1999 and its debts paid off by special billings. After initial operations and shakeout, it is often among the most reliable plants in the world in terms of capacity factor. As of 2023, the plant is undergoing a mid-life upgrade, with two units completed and the second two expected to complete in 2026. Room for a second four-reactor unit had been in place since the original site selection, with a large area to the east of the current plant set aside for what was known as Darlington B. In 2006, Ontario Power Generation began the process of applying to build a two-unit plant on the B site. This project was cancelled in 2013 when the estimated cost was far beyond initial projections. In 2020 plans started to install a much smaller BWRX-300 small modular reactor install on the B site, which are ongoing as of 2023.

Farewell Creek is a watercourse in Durham County, that empties into Lake Ontario, at Oshawa, Ontario. It drains a watershed of 10,726 hectares (41.41 sq mi). To the west and east it borders Oshawa Creek, and Bowmanville Creek, which have their headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine.

The Oshawa Museum is a historical museum founded by the Oshawa Historical Society, located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It has a dual role as a museum; exhibits for the general public, and archival storage of the city's historical documents. Every building in the museum is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act The museum preserves and celebrates the history of Oshawa, and the surrounding area from the 15th century to the present day.

Oshawa Creek is a watercourse that flows 50 kilometres (31 mi) from its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine to its mouth on Lake Ontario, at Oshawa, Ontario. It drains a watershed of 120 square kilometres (46 sq mi). In its lowest reaches, in Oshawa, two tributaries, Goodman's Creek and Montgomery Creek, join the watercourse. To the west it borders Lynde Creek, which also has its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine, and the shorter watercourses Pringle Creek and Corbett Creek. Bowmanville Creek, to the east, also has its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine, while Farewell Creek, that lies between them, stops short.
