Farewell Creek is a watercourse in Durham County, that empties into Lake Ontario, at Oshawa, Ontario. It drains a watershed of 10,726 hectares (41.41 sq mi). To the west and east it borders Oshawa Creek, and Bowmanville Creek, which have their headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine.

Darlington Provincial Park is a provincial park in Ontario, Canada. It is located just south of Highway 401 near the town of Courtice, between the cities of Bowmanville and Oshawa. A small park, the topography is dominated by gentle hills formed by a terminal moraine deposited by glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age. The park borders on the northern shore of Lake Ontario and also encloses McLaughlin Bay. The bay is shallow and at some point in the 1990s was completely closed off from the lake by the action of the waves. The property bordering the park to the west is the home of General Motors Corporation's Canadian headquarters. Kintigh Generating Station can be seen from this provincial park even though it is on the other side of the lake in Somerset, New York.

The Oshawa Museum is a historical museum founded by the Oshawa Historical Society, located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It has a dual role as a museum; exhibits for the general public, and archival storage of the city's historical documents. Every building in the museum is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act The museum preserves and celebrates the history of Oshawa, and the surrounding area from the 15th century to the present day.

Oshawa Creek is a watercourse that flows 50 kilometres (31 mi) from its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine to its mouth on Lake Ontario, at Oshawa, Ontario. It drains a watershed of 120 square kilometres (46 sq mi). In its lowest reaches, in Oshawa, two tributaries, Goodman's Creek and Montgomery Creek, join the watercourse. To the west it borders Lynde Creek, which also has its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine, and the shorter watercourses Pringle Creek and Corbett Creek. Bowmanville Creek, to the east, also has its headwaters in the Oak Ridges Moraine, while Farewell Creek, that lies between them, stops short.

Darlington GO Station is a planned GO Transit train station to be built by Metrolinx in the community of Darlington, Ontario, Canada, as part of the approved expansion of train service on the Lakeshore East line to Bowmanville. It will be situated between the main downtown areas of Oshawa and Bowmanville, in an area that is anticipated to be developed over the next few years. The station is intended to serve areas east of the station, as there will be close access to Highway 401. Approximately 1,100 parking spaces will be supplied on opening day, and future parking expansions will be possible. A bus loop and a "Kiss and Ride" area will be included. Initially, it will consist of one side platform, which will become an island platform as demand grows and a second track is built. In 2017, the station was expected to open in 2024.As of 2022, Metrolinx identifies this station by the name "Courtice" rather than "Darlington" on its website; the station name is still subject to change.

CKDO (1580 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, serving the eastern suburbs of the Greater Toronto Area. The station airs a classic hits–oldies format and is owned by Durham Radio Inc. CKDO is one of only two radio stations in Canada that broadcast on 1580 kHz. The other is CBPK, a 50-watt weather information station in Revelstoke, British Columbia. CKDO is powered at 10,000 watts, using a directional antenna with a two-tower array. It is a clear channel, Class A station. The transmitter is on Courtice Road in Clarington. Programming is also heard on FM rebroadcaster CKDO-FM-1 at 107.7 MHz and on 95.9 CJKX-FM-HD3.

Tooley Creek is a small watercourse that drains into Lake Ontario near Darlington, Ontario. It drains 1,050 hectares (4.1 sq mi). Groundwater discharge from the bluffs left from glacial Lake Iroquois feed the headwaters of Tooley Creek.Its watershed is bordered by the watersheds of three other watercourses, Darlington Creek, Farewell Creek and Robinson Creek.

Courtice () is a community in Ontario, Canada, about 60 km (37 mi) east of Toronto, within the Municipality of Clarington. Adjacent to Oshawa, it is west of Bowmanville, which is also part of Clarington. Courtice Road (Durham Road 34) connects with Highway 401 at Interchange 425, providing arterial access to the community. Darlington Provincial Park is located just south of Courtice.
