Møllehøj (Danish: [ˈmøləˌhʌjˀ]) is the highest natural point in Metropolitan Denmark at 170.86 m (560.6 ft).

Ejer Bavnehøj (also spelled Ejer Baunehøj) is the third-highest natural point in Denmark, at 170.35 m (558.9 ft) above sea level.

Yding Skovhøj in Horsens municipality, Jutland is one of Denmark's highest points.

Madum Lake (Danish: Madum Sø) is the largest lake in the Himmerland peninsula of Jutland, Denmark. The lake covers an area of 2.04 square kilometres (0.79 sq mi), and has a depth of 7.5 metres (25 ft) at its deepest point. It is both an important bird sanctuary and a popular bathing spot.

Gedved is a small town with a population of 2,336 (1 January 2022), in Horsens Municipality located between Skanderborg and Horsens in the middle eastern Jutland in Denmark's Region Midtjylland. Gedved is one of the fastest-growing towns in Denmark, with a 30% increase in population since 2006.

Until 1 January 2007, Gedved municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Vejle County on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 151 km², and had a total population of 10,215 (2005). Its last mayor was Ejgil W. Rasmussen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Gedved. Gedved municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with existing Brædstrup (with the exception of Voerladegård Parish) and Horsens municipalities to form a new Horsens municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 542 km² and a total population of approx. 80,000 (2005) in Region Midtjylland.

Østbirk Church (danish: Østbirk Kirke) is a parish church in Horsens Municipality. It is overseen by the Diocese of Aarhus in the Church of Denmark. The Church was constructed around the year 1200 and features romanesque and gothic architecture. It is decorated with 16th century frescos along with intricate woodwork and carvings.

Mossø is Denmark's third largest freshwater lake and Jutland's largest, as measured by surface area. The lake is located just west of the city of Skanderborg in east Jutland, but is part of both Skanderborg Municipality and Horsens Municipality. Mossø lies in the middle of the area and landscape known as Søhøjlandet (English: The Lake-highland). There is a small lake named Mossø in the forest of Rold Skov in Himmerland.

Østbirk is a town, with a population of 2,644 (1 january 2025), in Horsens Municipality, Central Denmark Region, in Denmark, situated 11 km east of Brædstrup, 16 km southwest of Skanderborg and 15 km northwest of Horsens. Østbirk Church, where the admiral and naval hero Peder Skram is buried, is located in the town.

Alken station is a railway station serving the village of Alken in East Jutland, Denmark.The station is located on the Skanderborg–Skjern railway line from Skanderborg to Skjern. The station opened on 2 May 1871 with the Skanderborg-Silkeborg section of the Skanderborg-Skjern railway. The train services are currently operated by Arriva which run frequent regional train services between Aarhus and Herning.

Alken is a village in Skanderborg Municipality, Denmark. Alken is served by Alken railway station, located on the Skanderborg–Skjern railway line.

Voerladegård Parish (Danish: Voerladegård Sogn) is a parish in the Diocese of Aarhus in Skanderborg Municipality. The parish contains the village of Voerladegård. Voerladegård Parish was a part of Brædstrup Municipality until 1 January 2007 but except the rest of the municipality, who merged into the new Horsens Municipality, Voerladegård Parish merged into the new Skanderborg Municipality.
