The Yanghwa Bridge (양화대교) is an eight lane bridge spanning the Han River in Seoul. The bridge connects Mapo-gu on the north side of the river to Yeongdeungpo-gu on the south side of the river. The bridge is buttressed by the eastern end of the island of Seonyudo, home to Seonyudo Park (선유도공원). The bridge is a combination of two bridges: the old bridge, originally called the "Second Han River Bridge" (제2한강교), completed in 1965; and the new bridge, completed in 1982. The old bridge was the first bridge built by Korean technology after independence in 1945 and served as the gateway from Seoul to the west coast. Due to increasing traffic, construction for an expansion started in 1979 and the new eight lane bridge was completed in February 1982. The old bridge's upper structure has a width of 18.0m, length 1,053m and is composed of steel plate girders and concrete box girders. The new bridge has a width of 16.1m, length 1,053m and is a steel plate girder bridge. The lower structure has an open caisson well foundation. The bridge went through repairs and renovations in 1996 and reopened in April 2002 with additional ramps. As of February 2010, the bridge is once again going through renovations by widening the space between bridge posts to allow 5000t ships to pass. Yanghwa Bridge also has a song named after it called "양화대교 Yanghwa Bridge" by R&B/soul singer Zion.T in 2014.

Hapjeong-dong (Korean pronunciation: [hapt͈ɕʌŋdoŋ]) is a dong, neighbourhood of the Mapo-gu district in Seoul, South Korea.

Seonyudo is a railway station on Line 9 of the Seoul Subway.

The Dangsan Railway Bridge (당산철교) crosses the Han River in Seoul. It is used exclusively by Seoul Subway Line 2. Immediately on the south side of the bridge is Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo-gu, which is on an elevated platform. Hapjeong Station, a subterranean station in Mapo-gu, is located approximately 600 meters north of where the bridge makes landfall. After the partial collapse of Seongsu Bridge, every bridge in Seoul was re-examined for safety and it was decided that Dangsan Bridge should be taken down and rebuilt. The World Cup Fountain was a fountain built to commemorate the 2002 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by South Korea and Japan. The World Cup Fountain is located in the Han River in Seoul, South Korea, between the World Cup Stadium and Seonyudo Park. The fountain jets water at a height of 202 metres (663 ft), a symbolic gesture to the year the FIFA World Cup was held in Seoul. The fountain is taller than the Gateway Geyser, or the fountain in Fountain Hills, Arizona or the Port Fountain in Karachi, Pakistan. For comparison, the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. is 169 meters tall.The fountain does not flow constantly. It can only be seen for a few hours a day and weather permitting.

ROKS Seoul (FF-952) is the second ship of the Ulsan-class frigate in the Republic of Korea Navy. She is named after the city, Seoul.

Dangsan Station is an elevated station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 and is an underground station on the Seoul Subway Line 9. The station is located on the south bank of the Han River in Yeongdeungpo-gu. Because the station is elevated, trains exiting to or entering from the north make use of the Dangsan Railway Bridge. As of April 2009, the platform has been outfitted with platform screen doors. Dangsan station is currently a transfer point between Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 9. Several Korean TV series were shot in nearby locations, like Boys Over Flowers, Iris or My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.Seoul Subway Line 2 has two-sided relative platforms, Seoul Subway Line 9 has two island platforms, and both platforms have screen doors.

Yanghwajin Foreign Missionary Cemetery (Korean: 양화진외국인선교사묘원), also known as the Hapjeong-dong (합정동) International Cemetery, is a cemetery overlooking the Han River in the district of Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Designated in 1890 as a site for foreign missionaries by King Gojong, the site is currently open to the public from 9:00am to 6:00pm and is located next to Jeoldusan Martyr's Shrine. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 Koreans and 500 foreign nationals visit every year.

The Seongsan Bridge (Korean: 성산대교) is the 12th bridge that crosses the Han River in South Korea and connects the districts of Mapo District and Yeongdeungpo District. The bridge was completed in 1980. It is one of 31 bridges over the Han River and has a length of about 1400 meters. It is popular with photographers because it is aesthetic and slightly thicker than the other bridges.

Hapjeong Station (Korean pronunciation: [hapt͈ɕʌŋ]) is a subterranean station of Seoul Subway Line 2 and Seoul Subway Line 6. The station is located just north of the Han River in Mapo-gu. The name of the subway station comes from its local name. The name of the area means clam well.The station is the southern end of Hongdae area, which is the centre of urban arts and indie music culture of Seoul. It is closest to the historical site of Jeoldu-san, a place where over 10,000 Koreans of the Roman Catholic faith were beheaded in 1866 under the orders of Daewon-gun. Yanghwajin Foreigners' Cemetery and the Holt International Children's Services are also located near the station. The northern end of Yanghwa Bridge is near the gates of the station.

Mangwon station is a railway station on Line 6 of the Seoul Subway in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
